Extremely Unprofessional Treatment of Customers Based on the video circulating on social media, the way these customers were treated was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The customers apparently decided they did not want the food and had not eaten or touched it, yet employees/management appeared to insist that they pay for it and threatened to call the police when they attempted to leave. What made the situation even worse was someone following the customers toward the door, allegedly calling them names such as "thugs" and "thieves." That kind of language has no place in a restaurant, especially when dealing with customers who are trying to leave without causing a confrontation. If the customers did not eat the food or take possession of it, there were much better ways to handle the situation. Management could have simply taken the food back, explained the policy calmly, and avoided escalating the situation. I wasn't personally there, so I'm basing this review on what is shown in the publicly circulating video. However, the behavior shown was enough for me to say that I would not feel comfortable spending my money at this establishment. Customers should be treated with respect, regardless of their race, appearance, or whether there is a disagreement over an order. Threats, insults, and confrontational behavior are not the way to handle a customer-service dispute. read more

Mario's Pizzeria is in dire need of customer service training. Instead of resolving an order dispute with basic courtesy, management and staff quickly turned hostile, threatening police involvement and aggressively forcing customers out the door. A business establishment should resolve complaints more professionally, not intimidate and disrespect its customers. Ordered a pizza and it was mushy & gross. Didn't even eat it, just said to take it back. But then the employees were angry that their gross pizza wasn't going to be eaten, so they insisted that we pay for it (which make no sense, who pays for food they're not consuming or leaving with?). Anyway, the employees are foul-mouthed, and they told my coworker that they'd seen her before, even though she's never been there before!
