My wife and I have been looking forward to this restaurants opening for a while now. We started off our night with the limoncello martini and blueberry lemon spritzer. The limoncello martini was our favorite, but blueberry lemon spritzer was a refreshing addition to the evening. We had the garlic bread for our appetizer with the truffle oil. Although the Garlic Bread was delicious, we would say that the up charge for Truffle oil was not worth it as the Truffle oil was not as flavorful as expected. We followed up our delicious appetizer with the Spicy Chicken Penne and Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Wow! Our waitress for the evening was attentive and gave great suggestions! Overall, the night was fantastic and we will be regulars for years to come. P.S. consider getting some pizza! We didn't get any pizza and it all looked delicious when it came out of the kitchen! Food was amazing but waited over an hour for it... server was sweet but communication fell apart towards the end as she became more and more embarrassed of her kitchens performance. Manager let me pay full price for food that had either sat in the window 30 min or had to be remade ... even the remake sucked with only coupons to give them another try again offered with pretty much a non apology assessment of the various ways they've dropped the ball. I WANT TO LOVE THIS PLACE! Mismanaged and mishandled after it's mismanaged... honestly a real bummer.oh also wasn't busy in the slightest not even 10 tables in the whole place when my order went in. read more

This place does not deserve any stars. It was a total waist of money. I got the Parmesan Chicken, the chicken tasted like they burned something on the grill and didn't bother to clean it. The spaghetti sause.. Don't even get me started. Sauce from the store is way better.. No joke..Not to mention it was all COLD. My husband got the chicken Alfredo, once again jar Sauce from the store is way better , and he almost choked on a knuckle bone in the chicken. You wouldn't think anyone could mess up a salad, but they can.. With brown lettuce.. this is not a real Italian restaurant. You can blame the owners and cooks for the terrible food, not the waitress. The service is terrible, too, though. I think we seen our waitress twice, and after we was done we had to wait around for another 15 minutes just to get a check and another 15 for her to come and run our credit card.. Don't listen to the good reviews.. Trust the bad one's.. They are true. I don't see this place staying open for to long. read more

My son and I went to Mariola's for lunch. We started off with the fried cheese sticks. The taste was good and the marinara was good but the were not smoked the whole way through, so you really didn't get that nice pull you expect from a cheese stick. We both ordered the lasagna and it was disappointing to say the least. It was basically sauce, pasta layers, and topped with cheese. Barely any meat and no cheese in the layers. Lasagna my Italian family has made and eaten my whole life has sauce, meat, and cheese stuffed into each layer. What was there tasted good it was the absence of ingredients in the layers that got me. At $17.95 for serving when the menu says ground beef and sausage it better be in there. When I talked to the manager about both issues he basically said we have heard that a lot about the fried cheese and the lasagna only uses meat sauce in one layer and they only top it with cheese. The bread and oil tasted excellent and the service was good with the exception of management. How can you know about food issues and continue to serve it up that way? I will give it time and may be back but definitely will not reorder fried cheese or lasagna. read more

my partner & i ordered takeout here on wednesday. he picked it up after work and brought it home, so i cannot speak to the service or ambiance of the restaurant yet. i ordered myself a chicken parmesan and him a shrimp fettuccine alfredo. i also ordered cheesy breadsticks as an appetizer and tiramisu as a dessert. the waitress repeated my order back to me over the phone and we confirmed it was good to go. once home, we found my partner had received chicken on his fettuccine alfredo instead of shrimp. since he lives all the way out in loudonville, we didn't really have a way to correct the mistake. my chicken parmesan was okay--it was adequate. the chicken was a little dry and the sauce was on the bland side. i was expecting a lot better out of the flavor. the cheesy bread sticks and tiramisu were both really good. i've been pretty excited to try this place since i first got word of their opening. based on who owns it, i had pretty high expectations, but i felt kinda disappointed. i was thinking this place would be something like what Coccia House used to be back in their hay day when they used to be good. i'd say the whole meal was perfectly adequate italian-american meal and it's a solid choice for a night out, but i could have made a better chicken parm at home. i'll give them another try next time i'm in town and see if the experience is better next time. read more

The food quality was good. Lots of help buzzing around almost to a fault. Not much ambiance as it was so busy with so many workers swarming around. They were trying to remove our silverware and drinks before we were done. The food portions are on the average to small side for the price. Thursday night. The service was good, atmosphere ok (searching for identity). The pizza was very good. The lasagna was ok but more noodles than meat and cheese. Good portions. My main complaint was the salad. Not included in the entree price, I paid $4.95 for a poor excuse of a salad. The lettuce was wilted and soggy (all or mostly iceberg lettuce). There was way too much cheese on my wife's house salad. There were 3 young children (from different tables) literally screaming throughout most of the meal. I'm not sure what could have been done, but maybe a different room for families with small children. Overall, a poor imitation of a Macaroni Grill. read more

I know eggplants. Had one of the best eggplant parmigiana ever tonight. The pasta was cooked just right and the marinara sauce was perfect - not sweet like at so many places these days. Wish they had an eggplant Parm sub. Will visit here again and again. Thanks for the smile on my face! read more
