I met a friend for cocktails at this nicely appointed bar with almost a speakeasy feeling. Cute decor. Comfy chairs. We lucked out to be there during happy hour which is 4-6. $10 for select cocktails and $6 for select wine. No food, but they do offer some spicey/sweet/very salty nuts (we had the 4 oz portion which was plenty). I had an old fashioned. It was tasty. The bar had 3 employees. Service was kind of slow and we felt it challenging to get their attention a few times. If I lived in town I'd definitely visit again.

A cute and cozy lounge tucked away in the back of a gift shop and run by a friendly husband and wife team. The focus here is on classic cocktails but they also have some beers and wines. Their cocktail menu is extensive and includes descriptions of the cocktails and the spirits. It is a literal book! There is something here for everyone. I tried a Boulevardier and it was excellent. The presentation was great and I liked the retro cocktail glasses. (They are conveniently available for purchase in the gift shop.) This is the perfect place to meet before going out to dinner and I am so glad they are in the neighborhood. I plan to return often to try some new things.

Great drinks and service. The shop connected is cute. Well crafted and much to select from including mocktails

The espresso martini was fabulous - love that it wasn't so heavily cream based and had real espresso brewed fresh.

I did not expect it to be part of a large lifestyle center development. It has been open for a while, but there is still tons of building going on around. The entrance did not say Primer, instead it had a Canvas sign. That was confusing. When we first arrived there were not many people but after about 30 minutes more people arrived. The decor was cozy despite the coffee shop being very large. There were not many pastry choices. My guess it is much busier as a cocktail bar in the evenings.

When you walk into the apartment building, there is also a shared workspace there as well. So there were quite a few people there working and meeting. It was nice to see a hustle and bustle, but I felt almost like at a hotel conference or college campus or something! Ordering was a little tricky too, as you just go up to the bar an order. There's not like a designated place to order, as far as I could tell. So if the bar was all full, it would be really awkward to order for a coffee setting! There was only one person working, so service was really slow. Which I didn't mind, but I also wasn't there working! I wasn't quite sure where I could enjoy my coffee either, since I didn't want to be in the way of any of the shared working groups and meetings. My coffee was DELISH though! I had a hazelnut latte. It was so good! The barista was very nice too. And it's pretty cool that the place is a cocktail bar in the evenings too !

We sat in the bar area as we didn't have a reservation on a busy Saturday night but we didn't have to wait at all! Our server Jack gave excellent recommendations with fast and friendly service! The whiskey glaze was so light on the salmon for the perfect touch of sweetness, not like those heavy syrupy glazes at some restaurants. I was able to substitute one of my sides for green beans that were cooked and seasoned perfectly! The short ribs were fork tender and bursting with flavor. We will absolutely be back! I definitely will make a reservation to have a water view next time! Plenty of parking available in the shared lot. I ordered a cranberry mule, and then for my meal, I ordered the ribeye. The steak comes with a brown sugar glaze like sauce and caramelized onions, and two sides. I chose mashed potatoes and fresh green beans, which were delightful. The sauce on the steak was very sweet, and I had to scrape most of it off, which wasn't a big deal, but otherwise the meal was delicious.
