I met a friend for cocktails at this nicely appointed bar with almost a speakeasy feeling. Cute decor. Comfy chairs. We lucked out to be there during happy hour which is 4-6. $10 for select cocktails and $6 for select wine. No food, but they do offer some spicey/sweet/very salty nuts (we had the 4 oz portion which was plenty). I had an old fashioned. It was tasty. The bar had 3 employees. Service was kind of slow and we felt it challenging to get their attention a few times. If I lived in town I'd definitely visit again.

A cute and cozy lounge tucked away in the back of a gift shop and run by a friendly husband and wife team. The focus here is on classic cocktails but they also have some beers and wines. Their cocktail menu is extensive and includes descriptions of the cocktails and the spirits. It is a literal book! There is something here for everyone. I tried a Boulevardier and it was excellent. The presentation was great and I liked the retro cocktail glasses. (They are conveniently available for purchase in the gift shop.) This is the perfect place to meet before going out to dinner and I am so glad they are in the neighborhood. I plan to return often to try some new things.

Great drinks and service. The shop connected is cute. Well crafted and much to select from including mocktails

The espresso martini was fabulous - love that it wasn't so heavily cream based and had real espresso brewed fresh.

I did not expect it to be part of a large lifestyle center development. It has been open for a while, but there is still tons of building going on around. The entrance did not say Primer, instead it had a Canvas sign. That was confusing. When we first arrived there were not many people but after about 30 minutes more people arrived. The decor was cozy despite the coffee shop being very large. There were not many pastry choices. My guess it is much busier as a cocktail bar in the evenings.

When you walk into the apartment building, there is also a shared workspace there as well. So there were quite a few people there working and meeting. It was nice to see a hustle and bustle, but I felt almost like at a hotel conference or college campus or something! Ordering was a little tricky too, as you just go up to the bar an order. There's not like a designated place to order, as far as I could tell. So if the bar was all full, it would be really awkward to order for a coffee setting! There was only one person working, so service was really slow. Which I didn't mind, but I also wasn't there working! I wasn't quite sure where I could enjoy my coffee either, since I didn't want to be in the way of any of the shared working groups and meetings. My coffee was DELISH though! I had a hazelnut latte. It was so good! The barista was very nice too. And it's pretty cool that the place is a cocktail bar in the evenings too !

They have wine specials available on Wednesdays on glasses and bottles. We ate in the downstairs bar area and it was a little noisy but not too bad. I definitely recommend making a reservation as they filled up quickly! Our waitress was very attentive and everyone really liked the buttermilk dill dressing on the wedge salad. The pork chop was juicy and delicious! The chicken piccata had great flavor and the steak was cooked perfectly. They have an upstairs dining area that we didn't check out and a small patio. Parking can be found in the lot that is shared with multiple businesses but we were able to grab a close spot! We will definitely be back! We were seated quickly and I was looking forward to a good meal, but alas, that was not to be. After taking our drink order the server told us that there would be: A 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill (fine, it's to be expected), and there would be a 3% surcharge if you paid with anything other than cash (ugh) and oh yeah, they won't split the check. We should just pick somebody to pay the whole check and we could "just Venmo them" (and I guess, figure out a way to also split the 3% surcharge). Can't get around the surcharge as no one I know walks around with hundreds of dollars in their wallet, of course. None of this information is mentioned on their website or their socials or Open Table. It made for an ugly and embarrassing surprise,to say the least. Anyway, we all were shocked by that last item so we told the server we'd pay for our drinks but we were leaving. I'm a big supporter of independent restaurants but this ridiculous policy is incredibly alienating. So, birthday dinner plans ruined we made do with a local chain around the corner. Food was so so but at least they were pleasant, professional and accommodating for our large party. We tipped accordingly.
