Good Italian food can be hard to find, especially with the many restaurants offering classic American-Italian favorites like Spaghetti w/ Meatballs or Lasagna. But for a very reasonable price, one can "finely dine" thanks to Mario's. I generally manage cooking in my household, but when my wife says "what did you plan for dinner?" I almost always recognize that as a request to get out. In this case we ordered in (shout out to DoorDash), and were pleasantly surprised at the incredible flavor of our selections. I had the Lasagna w/2 meatballs added on the side and it was hands down the best I've had in years! Rich, but not overwhelming, with just the right amount of meat, cheese and sauce to satisfy any appetite. My meal was followed by a luscious slice of carrot cake - a personal favorite. It too was outstanding! My wife chose the Spaghetti w/Meatballs, and a slice of FudgeCake, both of which she said were exceptional. Her only complaint was that the Spaghetti (and lasagna too) had a bit too much grease in them. It can be seen in the photos. Nothing a little paper towel can't manage but that won't remove the grease one can't see, and certainly not enough to have lost a star! Mario's Italian Grill just became a new haunt for me. I was looking for some Italian food to carry out for a Sunday/fun day afternoon in the park. Mario's Itallian grill was close, so I decided to give it a try. It was tucked away in a little strip plaza. The inside was rather small but clean and quaint. I ordered a chicken avocado salad and the lasagna for my husband. I called in my order and was told it would take 15 minutes. When I arrived after 15 minutes my food was ready. The chicken avocado salad had fresh sliced avocado, melted cheese, sweet onions, tomatoes, grilled chicken, and lettuce with your choice of dressing. The lettuce, tomatoes, onion and avocado were very fresh. The chicken seemed like it had been reheated a few times. It tasted ok, but would have been better with fresh grilled chicken and fresh grated cheese, vs. Melted cheese stuck to everything. The prices are very reasonable for the portion size offered. My salad was $12. The menu has all the classic Italian pasta dishes, pizza, salads, sandwiches, burgers, gyros and dessert. I would go back just to try more traditional Italian fare. read more

During a late night at my old office, preparing for another live event, we were there long enough to need to order dinner. We used Uber Eats to have Mario's delivered. We ordered cheesy bread, a Margarita pie, pepperoni pie, and one with bacon, mushrooms, and black olives. All pies were ordered with full toppings but two of them showed up looking like a half and half with only toppings on half and cheese only on the other side!! It was very odd. The Margarita was super garlicky. The pepperoni pizza was definitely my favorite as I don't eat mushrooms or olives, so I stayed away from that pizza. All of my co-workers and myself were satisfied, so Mario's is definitely A-OK in my book. read more

The 4th star was because they were friendly and the cheese cake was pretty good for $4. It was my first time Abdul I ordered the Calzone and it would definitely please a cheese lover but was entirely too much cheese for me. Way too much and not enough pepperonis (I counted 9 total). I had pepperoni and mushrooms as my toppings. The sauce was good and the calzone a fairly good size. Made two meals for me. Maybe I'll try their lasagna or pasta next time but not the calzone as I'm not a cheese lover like that. And yes, I've had other calzones and the amount of cheese was not nearly as much as Mario's. This review is for food received as part of a takeout order via one of the apps. Overall it was one of the worst meals I've had recently. I ordered the garlic pasta which came with literally 5 little pieces of tomato and overall was really tasteless and extremely runny. Nothing to rave about. The bread that came with the order did not seem to be homemade but more of a toasted store bought baguette . The porcini gnocchi in Alfredo sauce was extremely salty and the mushrooms were hard , some of them where closer to rocks and I was afraid I broke a teeth biting into them. I am guessing they buy them dry and didn't properly hidrate them. Also I could not taste the mushrooms because all I could taste was the salt on the sauce. Judging by other reviews maybe the pizzas are good but stay away from the pastas! read more

It's got great food at reasonable prices. If you want to just drink water, then your should bring your own water bottle. I ordered wings and the chicken avocado salad, which were very good. Tried this place on a whim as I haven't been able to find good NY style pizza on the peninsula or in MtP. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was. The crust was great too. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Small little business but very delightful food. Walking in you get a nice quiet atmosphere (surprising as most places are terribly loud) and you can watch the cooks while you're eating. Upon sitting down the server was very sweet and always had a smile. The cooks were super focused and not once did they ever seem overwhelmed (amazing!!) the food came out in a timely manner even with them being busy. Great food for a hole in the wall quick service restaurant. I'll be the first to admit I am not an Italian snob, but that being said I wholeheartedly enjoyed my meal there! I believe they primarily do takeout orders based on the number of door dashers in and out while i was there. I got spaghetti with mushrooms (instead of meatballs, since I am pescatarian) and my boyfriend got gnocchi in a delicious cream sauce that came with some awesome shrimp!
