Hot and fresh Pepperoni Slice. !!!

Years later and still yummy. Christmas Eve slices were 100! Hot and fresh. The guy working- so kind. I am glad to see they are still here and I hope you will go grab a slice asap and support this little Charleston gem.

Great pizza!! They were low on crust but made me a calzone crust heart pizza was so good I had to take a bite before the pic

Kinda a hole in the wall location but man did it hit the spot for some great pizza!! Stopped in for a late dinner for a few slices, got just what we wanted and service was really quick! The crust was crisp, the sauce was tasty. The toppings were not necessarily "fresh" (canned mushrooms and pineapple) but the pizza was excellent and we would definitely recommend and go back for more!

I'm not sure why this place has such a high rating but I was very disappointed. The pizza was so dry I had to ask for additional sauce. The cashier acted as if she was in shock and then the owner walked up and said well we put regular sauce on all of the pizza. I said ok, well it's dry and I want more sauce. He waved his hands in the air and said well it's .50, and I said well ok. As the three of us sat and ate our food, the owner walked over to tell us to let him know when we're done so he can take our trash out because he doesn't want the trashcan overflowed. I'm thinking to myself, I came to visit this place while on a mini vacation because I saw it had good reviews. Well I'm not sure what the hype is because between the DRY pizza and the bad customer service I won't ever return here!

This was always my go-to pizza spot in Charleston, both during college and beyond. I was very happy to learn that not a whole lot has changed--the slices are still giant and delicious, and the atmosphere is exactly what I remember it being (although most of the time I was in the store, it was late at night after the bars closed iykyk).

If you're in Charleston, you have to check out Di Giovanni's--hands-down the best pizza joint I've ever been to . The size alone is unreal--one slice is basically a full meal! The ambiance is a perfect mix of old-fashioned charm and modern comfort--classic in all the best ways, like the good ol' days. You walk in and immediately feel like you're somewhere special. The customer service was just as amazing--genuinely kind, super attentive, and they made us feel totally at home. And while you wait? You can challenge your skills on a classic Pac-Man arcade machine. 10/10 experience all around. Di Giovanni's is an absolute must when you're in Charleston! #BestPizzaEver #DiGiovannisCharleston #PacManAndPizza

We needed some late night food and were short on options. I came across Pizzeria Di Giovanni and couldn't have been happier. The service was great and the pizza was awesome.. according to my kids it was the best pizza they had ever eaten which I thought was maybe an oversell but it was delicious. We got pepperoni and pineapple bc YES pineapple belongs on pizza and I'm ready to defend that pov :)

Just what we needed for lunch! They sell whole pizzas or pizza by the slice. Biggest pizzas I've ever seen. They can customize each slice with whatever topping you would like. The gentleman making the pizza was a navy vet and we were visiting our daughter in the navy, so we had a nice chat.

12" slice with pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions.

Really not sure what all the hype is about. The pizza here is mediocre, at best. The size of the slice and crispness of the crust are the only things going for it. I got a slice with mushroom, pepperoni, and onions on it. The mushrooms were canned, the onions were raw and crunchy, and the pepperoni had no flavor. Also, the place was completely dead at 7:00pm on a Monday night. There's got to be better pizza in Charleston.

We were walking around near the market downtown and being the pizzaholic that I am we had to stop in for a slice. Now this place is like stepping back in time inside . We were going out to eat later so we decided to split a piece of cheese and pepperoni . The slice was huge. Definitely a little floppy . This is the kind of pizza people eat after a night out of drinking . I probably wouldn't stop back but I would still recommend because people taste on pizza ranges so wildly .

They have a bar to serve your favorite beverages. This is a great place for families or just hanging out with friends. I ordered a veggie pizza. This is New York style pizza and the slices are huge. Usually we prefer table service, but honestly the bar is the way to go here since you get a front row seat to the pizza making. We ordered a half pepperoni and half sausage pizza. As I saw the beautiful pies coming out of the oven they were all getting dressed with fresh parm and basil and I was worried I didn't add that for ours, but after feverishly flaging down our server he reasured me that all the pizzas come with the special treatment at the end (unless otherwise noted). As I calmed my nerves I sipped on some delicious bottle of sweet tea. It was only the slightest bit sweet and so refreshing. Plus we ordered a salad as well. We were concerned about the size of the salad when we saw our neighbors come out, but our server let us know we could get a half Caesar if we preferred. The salad is a must have. I love how they just chop the ends off the romain and add the perfect amount of dressing, crunchy bread crumbs, and loads of cheese. The pizza came out shortly after and it was perfection. If you're looking for thin crust northern style pizza then you will definitely find it here. They also use top notch ingredients making this a pizza one to remember. Surprisingly I enjoyed the sausage even more than the pepperoni. We were stuffed after only eating half the pie so we boxed it up and took some cannoli to go. They did half regular and half strawberries that had local strawberries mixed into the ricotta! We enjoyed all of it so much that we ordered the same items for takeout only a week later. I definitely enjoyed dining in more than takeout, but both are a great option. The online ordering was super easy and even though it was slammed when I arrived, they had my pizza, salad, and cannoli ready to go at the window when I arrived.

The interior is dimly lit, great for a date night or special occasion. There's an open kitchen so you can watch the food being cooked along with a large bar. So it's entirely possible (and understandable) that I don't always get the best of what a place has to offer. That said, this was the worst pizza I've ever eaten. I was happy to see a place offer NY style pizza by the slice; you don't find that a lot in Charleston. Well, you won't find it here either. It was, generously, a home cook's first attempt at making pizza. There's something fundamentally off with the dough recipe, such that even a wood fired oven can't save it. The slices were overloaded with cheese. It was like eating wet cardboard. The meatballs were pretty good! The bartender was super pleasant and the space is attractive and welcoming. But they cannot make pizza. Normally I'm loathe to air out my business on Yelp like this; I prefer to communicate with the server if there's a problem with my food. But this wasn't an execution issue that could be fixed. A do-over would've produced the same result. Maybe, MAYBE they crush it with the neopolitan specialty pies. But I'll never know.
