When I call it to his attention he take the two patties off the grill (with the intention of using them for another order) goes to the freezer and now only puts 1 patty on a hero. I go to this pizza shop because I always felt like they have the best pizza, in my opinion, on this side of the Bronx. So I decided to purchase the shrimp Parmesan with spaghetti and marinara sauce for my mom because that is her favorite and I didn't want to have to go all the way across town to Giovanni's. We get back and look at the food and I noticed that it was not spaghetti but Penne pasta. I called them back explaining to them the mixup and the guy on the telephone tells me that I can bring it back and he can make me some spaghetti on the side. I told him that is not the same, that is not what I ordered. so he says I can bring it there and they can just transfer it over or I can transfer it over on top of the spaghetti. I told him, no, I would bring it back and he would make me a whole new dish. He tells me to hold on twice and ultimately asked me did I open it. I returned it and I think they put the shrimp from the other meal "under" my spaghetti, marinara sauce on top of the spaghetti, packaged it and gave it to me. By the time I got to my car, the marinara sauce had spilled on the bottom of the bag, out onto my coat. I tried to wipe it off and it also spilled onto the side of my car doors. The food is great, they make it pretty quick but they are kinda on the expensive side, at least to me. I usually pay $2.50-$3 for a pizza in the heights and they charge like $4-5 but the food taste good so its worth it. I always get the buffalo chicken pizza and garlic knots. They also have this appetizer called "Zeppoles" it's amazing. The service is good, depending on who's working the counter. They take a while to get to you, even when you're literally the only one there and they're not busy.. the lady that works there has a attitude and is just bad with customer service overall, she doesn't say hi, how are you, you're welcome, thank you, have a nice day, etc. you know the basics.. I'm not that mad about it but when I say "thank you, have a good afternoon" I expect a " you're welcome have a nice day, enjoy" or something like that read more

Sadly, they jacked up the prices recently, since my last order even. I had given them a decent review in the past because the pizza is generally always very good, and they're on all the apps I like to use, but at the same time, it was always just "NYC amazingly average pizza " good. Which is good, don't get me wrong, but not $18 a pie good. $18 a pie is some Italian restaurant pricing, not the price point for a shop in one of the poorest communities in America pricing. This is what happens when you're pretty much the only pizza shop in the area, there's no competition, so you can make dickhead moves like price gouge for simple shit and people have no choice but to deal with it. These guys have switched owners a few times since I've been going here and the price has gone up from $10 to $18 in less than a decade. Insane. Sorry guys, but until you put the customer and community first, I'll be taking my business to any number of pizza shops in the city who aren't charging Manhattan prices for average pizza. read more

No frills kinda place. They have everything from gyro's, steak & cheese hero's to pizza slices & pies. I've noticed a lot of the locals come by here to grab a slice or two during the lunch hour. I've personally tried their hero and gyros , only because I walk in with the intent to get a slice but get a little mesmerized when I see the guy in the back grill making other people's sandwiches. The gyro is about $7 and the hero is about $8 - both pretty decent size and filling. So walk in, expect no fancy service, some reggaeton on the speakers & a genuinely nice family-run business. read more

Came here after work before taking the 1.5hr subway ride home. Ordered a beef patty with cheese. Pizza man warmed it up for me and asked if I wanted any spices on it before closing it up. Best beef patty I ever had. Beef was perfectly seasoned, crust flaky, and you can't really mess up melted cheese, which was I believe mozzarella. This place has some of the best Pizza in the Bronx! It's a line counter with back sitting, so it's very small. However, their food packs a huge bite. The menu is very similar to a small diner. I ordered here tonight for pick up when we arrived the girl said she didn't know what happened to the order, had zero explanation as to why my food wasn't ready when her own co workers told her they just handed her my order. After arguing with her I asked how long it would take for another one she told me 10 Minutes I told her to put the order in and that i will be waiting in the car. I come back and once again ORDER NOT READY tells me all I did was walk out when that was not what I did at all. Really good food but very unprofessional when calling the restaurant. If you are accepting orders during lunch hours as a business you should be prepared with delivery services. It's unacceptable that a customer is providing them close to $100 in one order and it's a two hour wait. Extremely fast delivery. I'm a returning customer who was harsh on my first review. I don't know if they remember that review from 11 months ago but this time they got it right. My first review just bashed their delivery time but they came in under an hour probably like 30 minutes. They got my crispy pizza right. GARLIC knots are pretty good and the beef patty with cheese and Coco bread is goo as well. It's now called Mario's Pizza. The pizza is a good size for $2.50 and not too greasy. Its kept clean and the workers are constantly cleaning and washing their hands so if you wanted to get a free delivery you can feel safe about what your eating. I would give it more stars if it didn't look so thrown together decor wise. read more
