Without my knowledge or consent, she sent this evaluation to the private school we were applying to--an action that directly resulted in my daughter being denied acceptance. This not only devastated us at the time but set off an entire year of emotional stress and confusion. Fast forward to a year later: after seeing multiple other speech therapists for second (and third) opinions, every single one has said the same thing--my daughter has no speech disorder. In fact, she doesn't even qualify for speech therapy at all. It's clear to me now that Jocelyn Lagier was more interested in keeping us on a path of ongoing, unnecessary therapy sessions--ultimately for financial gain. She was not warm, supportive, or collaborative. She did not listen to my concerns as a parent, and I truly believe she caused harm rather than helped. I'm writing this review because I don't want another family to go through what we did. If you're looking for a thoughtful, ethical, and child-centered speech therapist, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. This was a deeply painful and frustrating experience, and one I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Unexpectedly, the shift in "sheltering in place" from COVID led me to have to make some pretty quick decisions about how to get care for my Mom. Her therapy appointments were canceled, and she very rapidly lost her ability to walk and became bedridden. I reached out to CCSS when I learned my Dad needed heart surgery, and was under strict instructions not to exert himself in any way (which included caregiving for my Mom) prior to his operation. CCSS came out to assess the home, and made recommendations on equipment and a care schedule for my Mom. They were great with communicating with *me* as well---the adult daughter who does not live with them. When the local fires threatened evacuating my parents from their home, CCSS made calls and located a hospital bed to be delivered within hours to my house as we brought them here to evacuate. As my mother's health digressed, I had no experience coordinating with hospice care, and filing advanced care directives with the appropriate agencies. CCSS has literally helped me every step of the way, with clear communication and compassion as I processed emotionally and mentally the decisions I needed to make with my Dad to ensure my Mom was comfortable. If you're not sure what needs to be done to assist your loved one with the services they need to live comfortably, I highly recommend you reach out to CCSS. It was the best decision I made as our family transitions to new realities in our life.

I had to call them this week because I hadn't heard anything from Bethany. Guess what her excuse was? She had the wrong number! Did she try calling the alternate phone number? The only communication I received after our December 28 meeting with Bethany was a "text" on January 10 saying she hasn't called because she had the "wrong number" was too busy assisting other "seniors" and our CNA was "sick." That's it. I can clearly see why they have a "3 Star" average. Excuse, after excuse after excuse.

No mumbo jumbo. just a straight shooter. I was very impressed. She was not the usual type medical provider I've been referred to lately thats reading the referral and looking at their watch as they greet you. She was very clear in what the Vertigo test would consist of. This was not a hearing test, just the Ear Channels and Chrystals therein. She explained the tests would only take a couple of minutes and if the ears were the problem it would be an easy fix. She put some kind of googles on both eyes, that sent information to a machine that deciphered and showed eye movement on TV Screen, which gave her an indication of which Inner Ear Channel may be causing a problem. She ask my wife to watch the TV screen so she could see what was happening. She tested me 3 times cuz she wasn't believing my 1st result based on my age. Spent about an hour with me asking questions, etc. When we talked about the Black Eye I had several months ago she said vision can also affect Dizziness. Luckily I have an Eye Doctor appointment next week If your having Dizzy spells or think you have Vertigo or been diagnosed with Vertigo, you should definitely see Lynn Herbert for testing and treatment. She…read morewas on medical leave for more than two months after a surgery so I was unable to see her after another episode of vertigo and I went to another physical therapist... I was declared vertigo free by this individual however, it cropped up quickly again after my treatment. Fortunately, Lynn became available and I went to her and because of her expertise, many years experience and her excellent training plus the use of camera goggles she got me over this last bout as she always has in the past. Key for me has been the therapist using the goggles with cameras so they can see exactly what the eye movements are and I believe that is key to successful treatment. Cannot say enough about her.
