I've been following Mariscos Corona on Instagram for a while and finally had the opportunity to try it with my family. We since come back every few weeks as a go-to when we want great fish. You pretty much cannot go wrong with whatever you order. Some of my favorites include the ceviche (all variations), mojarra al ajillo, and the shrimp enchiladas. Their pineapple agua fresca is also delicious. The staff is also fantastic! Everybody is so kind and attentive. The only down side is parking. Their lot is small and you might not find space all the time. read more

The parrillada is decent. The oyster shots, if your the type not to chew the the oysters then you won't notice- but if your like me I chewed and they were all spoiled. I made the waitess aware, she reposted with "I will let them know" I kindly asked to aa the very least be charged half the price. They brought us the bill, surprisingly we were being charged full price. I once again brought up the oysters being spoiled. It took talking to three waitresses. I do not recommend. Bad oysters will make you sick. So I'll get back in here in 13 to 72hrs hopefully not sick. read more

I was craving aguachiles like no other. I'm always very hesitant to try new marisco spots. But I have to say this place gets a five out of five. I ordered the aguachiles negros extra spicy and they were to die for. The quantity was perfect. And the customer service was great. Definitely going to continue going here. What a neighborhood gem! Their complimentary chips and salsa were so good. Amazing service, amazing food and portions are very generous. Highly recommend the Carne Asada burrito and Carne Asada fries. They are to die for! Parking can be tough but I've never had issues during the times I visited. read more

This place is awesome!!! It's been super hot in LA so I've been craving ceviche and this place satisfied my palette. I ordered the shrimp ceviche, which was topped with freshly sliced avocado. It was delicious. I think I may have gotten myself into trouble finding this spot lol. I'm already planning on going back tomorrow. Tip: Parking is a pain but it's worth it! I had to park across the street and walk for about 5 mins. There's a very small lot in front of the restaurant but it's always packed. Be prepared to drive up and down the street until a spot opens up. I can't wait to visit again and again... and again. So good! read more

I came here after seeing the oyster shooter video on IG. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed to discover that they don't have a liquor license or a beer license here. So the oyster shooters do not contain alcohol. Nevertheless, I still tried them and they were OK. I also indulged in the shrimp ceviche, which was mighty tasty and very fresh. The side of guacamole did not disappoint. The person I was with decided to try the fried fish, which was delicious The service was exceptional. The server was very nice and had a great attitude. This place is in a small shopping center with limited parking, so keep that in mind as well. On a Friday night, they only had one empty table so I'm sure they get a lot of locals from the area. If I'm in the area, I will go in for the ceviche, but probably not for the oyster shooters read more

I wish I never would've found this place :( Because now I crave it all the time!! I had it for the first time on a Sunday and then went back on Friday. It doesn't help that they're conveniently located 5 mins from my apt and that their customer service is great and that when they said my food would be ready for pick up in 25 mins, it was ready. Please let us all join virtual hands and pray that as this business gets busier and busier, that the quality of their food, service, & flavor doesn't disappear. I had read online that they had homemade Menudo on the weekends and that you could take your own pot as well. I decided to go and try it for the first time. I even called ahead and reserved to bowls. Anyways, once I arrived, I had told them that I had called for the menudo and once I paid, it was expensive. A lot more than anywhere in the valley. 14.95 / medium size bowl. What made it worse, was that the menudo was mainly corn/hominy. Menudo is the meat itself, not hominy. They should have told me that it would be mostly hominy and I would have tried something else. Instead they sold it to me like I wasn't going to know what I had ordered. I returned it. I was able to order a tostada de camaron (shrimp tostada) and had to pay for the difference. In addition since I was there, I decided to try their fish taco (breaded fish) and shrimp taco. The tacos were dressed the American way vs the Mexican way. American way was with coleslaw, dressing, etc. and the Mexican way is onions and tomatoes. Epic fail. I truly love to support small businesses, but this place wasn't for me. So delicious seafood so fresh I had the grilled red snapper eaten there oysters, which are amazing like you're sitting on the beach eating oysters. I had there cocktails also delicious there's nothing there that doesn't taste good. I should say. Seafood sampler for two was insane! So big, so good, it should be listed to share for four

So after my fiancé seeing this location off Tik-tok we decided to take the drive and try it out and man was it worth it we got their and it wasn't packed at all we sat down as soon as we walked in and got taken care of . They let me split my oysters in half , one was ceviche other half was aguachiles those were a 10/10 my fiancé got the aguachiles alone which were also a 10/10 and the tacos were also great I was surprised they had white cheese not to many places add that , that was definitely a plus ! read more

Found my favorite spot. I worked at my family's seafood restaurant for many years so am very picky with seafood and I rarely find seafood restaurants that I like. This place is legit! We were there on a Saturday so it was a bit busy and took a while to get our order, but it was so worth it. We ordered the shrimp and pulpo cocktel, and the botana for two. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection, the taste was on point, the salsa was top notch as was the service. Servings were generous and price is right. The place is family owned, and son is now taking over dad. How awesome is that! Go get urself some bomb seafood. (For those complaining about the wait and ordering aguachile, unless you want ur shrimp raw then there's no getting around the wait because this dish is made on the spot...ew, dont go to places where it's already premade) read more

This review is purely for the aguachile only. That's the only thing I ordered, that's the only thing that tiktok drove me to go try. Price - fitting for any seafood item that you would order anywhere else. Taste - honestly I secretly wanted it to taste bad because the drive there was long and exhausting with two screaming kids in the back. If it tasted bad at least I don't ever have to think about it ever in my life again cuz it's far as heck and out of my way. BUT.....arghhh it was good. It was spicy, tart and had all the perfect taste. Like a good looking women that has all the bang in the right spot this aguachile has all the bang that hits all the right spot. Now I am always going to think about it but can't readily get it. The dilemma ! Also the shrimp was whole too not your Itty bitty bite size shrimp. It came with tostada, avocado and chips and salsa. Service - service is good, I mean it was just a smooth transaction. Nothing negative. Parking - parking is a bit rough. It's a super small plaza and it was packed like around 3pm on a Wed. I couldn't imagine what busy hour would look like. Plus people were super aggressive in the parking lot pulling in and out at such a speed in such a tight area. Overall experience - I would totally go again but would have to plan a whole day around it. My new go to valley spot for Mariscos and more!!! I recently discovered Mariscos Corona and I am so glad that I did. They are serving up fresh mexican seafood and all the normal Mexican cuisine! The facility is clean and they have a great system in place for pickup as they maintain Covid-19 guidelines. The service was great from Vanessa who worked the cashier station and beyond - and Joel, the owner and chef provided insights on the menu and great friendly conversation. This place has been around since 1999 but recently has gotten new menu additions and a nice well deserved buzz on social media to attract a new and younger clientele. Food: I had the Caldo 7 Mares which was made with mussels, crab legs, clams, octopus, shrimp and fish that melted in your mouth like butter. It all came together in a light and flavorful broth. It was perfect for the recent chilly weather in LA. It is served with chile to add for desired spice, cilantro, onions, lime and a side of tortillas. They have tostadas made in house that they serve with the mariscos dishes. I also had the avocado shrimp aguachiles which are basically a version of green aguachiles served in 2 avocado halves like mini boats. Brilliant idea - and great for those who want to indulge in some mariscos and still eat healthy as they stay away from the fried tortillas. Who am I kidding though? I had both! Flavor was on point!!! I usually have to manually modify my marsicos dishes myself from most places. Uusally needs more of a kick... not enoight lime or salt but NOT THE CASE HERE. The aguachiles had the perfect amount of lime, salt and spice, and you can add chopped habaneros on top for an extra kick which I did and woooooooo was I in for a ride after that first bite. Everything was fresh and delicious. The stand-out was the aguachiles-stuffed avocado, which was fresh with tons of shrimp, bright and tangy. The fish tacos were also excellent - the fish was cooked perfectly (grilled) and seasoned well. We also got the prepared oysters (with shrimp on top), which were fresh and tasty, and a while grilled fish, which was delicious. We got take-out, and they put some ice with the oysters to keep them cold for the drive home, and they separated the cold toppings from the tacos so they would travel well. read more

I have been following them on Instagram for the past two years but living in Texas, I was only able to admire from afar. I came home for an early Christmas celebration with my family and told them we are absolutely eating here. I wasn't disappointed! The food is excellent, the service is fantastic! I was really looking forward to this place. We ordered 2 camarones a la diabla. They were extremely salty. My sister still tried to eat then with some rice. Wasn't able to eat then all but she tried. I let our server know because i couldn't even after tired. She then came back and told me they can change the sauce but with the same shrimp. (Where they going to just wash the shrimp and reuse) I told her it was ok. I didn't want the shrimp. Just made me wonder if they recycle left overs. I didn't ask to have them removed from the bill because it wasn't about the money. They should have done that themselves or offer something else or to remake without reusing the shrimp. We were 4 adults and 3 kids so we ordered plenty so they can be cheaper about $5 that the shrimp would have probably cost them to purchase. When I left I wonder if they are going to use for the next costumers. read more

Small place with a lot of traffic. Their food is really good. Large portions. Service was a bit slow but they were very courteous. The whole time I was there people were waiting for takeout orders. Steady line of customers which means the food is good. I'm sure if they moved to a bigger place with more parking they would become super popular.
