If you can make it past this, I would recommend making your way to the cashier and ordering some delicious chicken and plantains. There are lots of cool taco and burrito places out in this part of the valley, so Pablitos doesn't really stand out in that aspect. What stands out are their seafood and rotisserie chicken! If you're going in a group, grab a chicken together and get some sides. Chicken is well made and seasoned. If you care about what you eat, I would highly recommend this option. I love fried plantains. They're one of my weak spots, and this spot makes them right. There were like one or two that were burnt, but aside from the few, the rest were great. I had a really disappointing experience at Pablito's in Van Nuys. I placed and paid for a burrito order, but unfortunately wasn't able to pick it up that same night. I returned the next morning simply asking for a reasonable solution--either a fresh remake (since it's food) or a refund. Instead of helping, the employee was extremely rude and dismissive, and refused to offer either option. I wasn't asking for anything extra--just what I already paid for or my money back. It's frustrating to be treated this way as a paying customer. Situations happen, and good customer service is about how you handle them. This could have been resolved easily, but instead it turned into a negative experience. I would recommend management take a closer look at how situations like this are handled, because this was unprofessional and unacceptable. There's nowhere on their website that states a policy for not being able to pick up the order. read more

This is my first time here, and I saw the great reviews here on Yelp. I didn't know that it was a Mexican Peruvian fusion restaurant. I've never been to one of those and it was excellent. I love Peruvian and Mexican food. I want more of the Mexican route today. But there was definitely some Peruvian influence with the creamy green sauce. Both sauces were excellent, the Birria was good as was the Horchata. Been awhile since I got to have me some Pablitos. My wife and I ordered the three taco plate. I got the lomo saltado, Al pastor, and carne asada tacos. She got the Chicharron, al pastor, and fish. She really loved the Chicharron taco, but enjoyed the other two also. I thought the al pastor was the best, but also liked the other two tacos. Beans were okay, not totally authentic, but close. The rice was an absolute miss. Under cooked and under seasoned. Not sure what they were going for honestly. Service was good, took a long time for the food. We were the only ones there too. I only ate one taco and couldn't finish the rest. We both ended up with stomach aches afterward. One of my mom's tortillas had something green on it. The staff replaced it, but by the time they brought a new one, the rest of her food was cold. My dad's chicken didn't taste fresh, the beans were too salty, and the rice didn't taste good either. Unfortunately, this location is not at all as good as the others. I think it's really due to service. The staff here had no idea what they were doing, every order was brought out incorrectly, and made horribly. The queso, taco barely had any cheese, The veggie taco with cactus and mushrooms was just pathetic. Their salsa is still delicious, but the portions are much smaller and you could tell the kitchen does not know what they're doing. Run don't walk! Pablito's opened this location earlier this year and it is freaking awesome. The staff (shout out to Fernando) is always super friendly and welcoming. I knew I wanted to try the rotisserie chicken, and he told me that it's *that* chicken they also use in all of their tacos, sandwiches, and burritos. Which is pretty awesome. Before today I had always just ordered shrimp tacos and my favorite sweet plantains, but decided to branch out and try something new. It turns out everything they make here is fire. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, the rice is cooked perfectly and tastes like mom made it, and the SAUCES are insanely good. Seriously they should make a separate sauce business. Get.the.sauces. So pissed! Saw some girl post the servant turf burrito on TikTok and I quickly went to order. My first bite into the burrito there was a crunch. I pulled shrimp tails out of my mouth and then the second bite. There was a full shrimp tail. I then opened up my burrito and had to take out all the pieces of shrimp because they all had tails on them still, who the freak makes a burrito with the tail still on the shrimp?
