This place wa as so lively! Their menus are only in Spanish so brush up before you go. They have a constant source of Mariachis, other singers, people selling flowers, etc. that come through. They sing then bring their can around to collect money as patrons are eating. It was kind of cute when the first set of singers came through, but by the time the fourth set came through it didn't feel exciting. I didn't like the fact that I was eating and being constantly asked to go into my wallet and pull out money. I was trying to eat! I suppose I was unaware of the culture of the restaurant and relaxed a bit. Just know if you go to this place you'll be paying for more than your meal. They literally will wait for you to opened your wallet and give them money. I don't think I liked that part. Now, to the food. They serve you shrimp soup in Styrofoam cups. It's the whole shrimp so you have eyes, antennae and all. Gulp! It was spicy yet very tasty. I had to move the unfortunate full bodied shrimp from my cup to enjoy the soup. We ordered the shrimp cake as an appetizer. I show a photo of one cut in half. It was very tasty and again spicy. Each table has a basket of thick saltine crackers that went well with the soup. My entree was garlic shrimp with butter rice and a salad with avocado and tomato. Everything was delicious! I will definitely visit this place again because the service was fast. The servers were kind and attentive. The atmosphere was busy, lively and colorful.

Came on a Saturday afternoon, greeted immediately as we walked in. We were seated right away. When you are seated you receive a cup of shrimp soup, which is very flavorful. I ordered shrimp empanada platter. It was amazing! I'd definitely come back for it again The only down side is it was hot ! They have a little ac unit, it got quickly .

Thank goodness I found this restaurant on Yelp! I traveled pretty far but it was BEYOND worth it. I am not too familiar with Mexican seafood but this restaurant turned me into a huge fan. I had the seafood served in a pineapple with melted chz on top. It was phenomenal. I am not sure what they do with that crab or lobster salad but I left wanting more! Great sized portions that make you full. Definitely worth the price you pay. I even had a chance to meet the owners, and they are so kind. Great family owned & operated business. Gracias!

This was $13??? It came in a plate with compartments and she was given a spork!! Wow. (Breaded Shrimp)

Terrible food. Restaurant could use a cleaning. They also need to buy new dishes. They are all made of very old plastic. My sister ordered the breaded shrimp- the picture says it all. We were a group of 7 people. Everyone had a problem with their food. None of the shrimp was cleaned. When we asked about this, the waitress said that we have to ask for them to clean it before they made the food?? What?? There was a "Jaiba" aka fake/processed imitation crab coleslaw that was slathered all over the real salad. Gross. No one ate it. I would never come here again. My mom, who birthday we were celebrating, said she remembers eating there and the food was much different. They obviously changed staff. I don't recommend anyone eat here. We still had the foods taste for a few days after. GROSS!

Shrimp Tacos where pretty good. Service was nice and very friendly. Side note: Menu is entirely in Spanish. The staff is helpful if you can't read it though. They gave us a tea, that had a full shrimp in it. Not use to that, perhaps I'm uncultured lol. Certainly freaked me out when I first saw it.

Yummm!!! I'm getting hungry just posting this.

Well, it is kind of tucked away in a desolate area on Canal Street, but still. One of my good friends suggested we check this place out after hearing about it from a co-workers. The only thing I know about Vietnamese cuisine is pho (which for some insane reason, I've never had) and banh mi, which I tried (and loved) while visiting my fave cuz in the Bay. . I arrived early to this very large, beautifully decorated venue on a Tuesday night and was intrigued by the set-up. One side was all tables, the other side was tables and multiple gigantic screened tvs playing Family Feud and the World Cup games. Kinda crazy. I chose to sit on the big screen side while waiting for my date. He called to say he was running late and to get the order started. I had been waiting a bit, so i caught the eye of one of the workers, who came right over. He was so friendly and accommodating and answered all questions. I ordered the green Thai kumquat iced tea, spring rolls and the chicken wings he highly suggested. He rushed off to place the order. Moments later, a couple of distinguished gents walked in and sat at a huge round table cater-corner from me and soon thereafter the nice man who took my order sat down with them. I'm assuming he was the owner for obvious reasons. I gained more respect for this establishment because customer service goes a very long way with me and he obviously cared about that. Our server, a very friendly young lady, brought my drink out and I was surprised to see that it was served in what looked like a sippy cup, with a cartoon design on the lid. Kinda weird seeing as I am an adult, but it was a tasty beverage, nonetheless. My friend showed up as the spring rolls and chicken wings came out. We devoured both, which were delicious and then placed our orders. I went with lobster noodles and my friend got the beef tenderloin pho. Even though my entree presentation wasn't the best, it was a very tasty dish to both of us. The beef tenderloin pho was definitely the star of the show! The broth was fragrant and flavorful and the beef was tender beyond measure. I'm an avid ramen fan but this pho definitely had my attention and I can't wait to try more. Ocean Bar and Grill is such a cute, quirky place that caters to date night diners, groups and families. They were all in there that night and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I know I did. I'll definitely be taking my daughter when she comes home from her summer internship!

Be prepared to wait a little bit for a table, or share a big one with another party at peak times. Prices are reasonable and portions are pretty generous. ===== Kind of lost count of how many times I've been. Love getting the dim sum and noodle dishes here. Some favorites: beef cheong fun with egg, siu mai, Singapore noodle, xo rice noodle rolls, spare ribs, pork and century egg congee. All the food has been very solid. Inside is always bustling and can be a bit crowded. Service is pretty friendly as far as Chinatown goes, and very efficient. There's a guy who works there who I think is the manager or something, because he puts in 200x effort and is always hustling. When he's not around it feels like something is missing. Prices are very reasonable and we like ordering a lot here so that we have tasty leftovers for later. This place has quite a few big tables and is good for large groups. My only nits are that very occasionally a dish or teacup will have a dirty spot, and that the bubble tea here is kind of meh. I don't remember exactly which one I ordered, but it was a little watery and lacking in flavor. It's also probably tough since they're boxed in by boba places now. Pro tip: When you first get your table, they'll ask you what kind of tea you want. If you ignore them or don't know how to answer, the default is green tea. Another one is to come at off-peak times. Not only will you get a table faster, but I think they tweak their portion sizes depending on how crowded it is. Definitely will be back! And I recommend you visit too

Avoid This Place: A Dive Bar Masquerading as a Restaurant…read moreIf I could give this place zero stars, I would. We came to Langostra Nayarita expecting a decent meal, but what we got was four and a half hours of pure frustration. We arrived ahead of our group and were seated quickly, but that was the only efficient part of the entire experience. They dropped off a tiny cup of ceviche and some tostadas, and then we effectively ceased to exist to the staff. The service was nonexistent. Our waitress (the one with blonde hair) was the definition of unprofessional. She spent the entire afternoon doing shots with other customers and lounging at their tables rather than doing her job. In the nearly five hours we were there, we only saw her twice. To make matters worse: The Food: Completely average. Nothing justifies the lack of service. The Atmosphere: They're acting more like a messy dive bar than a professional restaurant. The Exit: We have currently been waiting for our check for over an hour. It is insulting to pay for a meal when you have to beg for the bare minimum of attention. Save your time and your money--skip this place. I will never be back.
