Quick trip to Chicago with just enough extra time to hit Chinatown. Wentworth Seafood House came highly recommended by some locals nearby. Definitely worth the stop. There were a few small two tops, but mostly those big round family size tables with the giant center lazy susans. Got a paper menu for dim sum items and a regular menu. Had to go with the dim sum goodies since it had so many things we'd never seen in any Michigan Chinese restaurants. Sweet walnut buns, fried bean curd skins filled with deliciousness, brisket with rice noodles that looked like Korean rice cakes, meatloaf, and more. Everything was outstanding, with various sauces presented with different items. This was new for us as well. A deep red vinegar with some fried dumplings, a tasty black sauce with the fried stuffed bean curd skins, a sweet plum sauce with the fried skinny shrimp rolls, it was really fun food. They have a barista making coffee, espresso and even milk tea, but the wait was like 10 minutes. Clean restaurant with very good service. Wish we lived closer so we could make it regular stop.

The Chinese food here is very tasty and I love the dimsum variety. Multiple servers for one table so service was good. The place is a little small but the they will accommodate your party size.

Shrimp n eggs.....great dish......couldn't make it my own tho....

Ok! Let me be clear, the eggs n shrimp was very very good!!! The excitement in Chinatown is awesome, diverse crowd....tight restaurant, not a lot of elbow room, HOWEVER, what i found most odd was no "extras" on the tables. No salt, no pepper, NO SOY SAUCE???? odd. Either you are extremely confident in your seasoning technique or it's a gross miss. That said, would I go back there? Not sure .

Excellent food, large portion sizes and reasonably priced. What more can you want? We were table of 4 last night and we tried the scallop with vermicelli and oyster with black bean curd appetizers. We also got the salt and pepper fish filler, the beef steak with mushrooms and the fish with tofu. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted very good. I'd liken to try more of their menu on my next visit but I do recommend coming in a big group so you can order multiple items since their portions are quite large.

The food here was delicious and fresh! The service was excellent and the establishment is well kept. My husband ordered his fish stew very spicy and they delivered. I ordered my chicken mild and they got the spice level spot on for the kids and myself.

Great customer service and fast service. Food came out very fast. Went on Mother's Day. Was super packed. We went 1 pm and had dim sum and roasted duck.

Pictures on the menu, fair prices, porcelain soup spoons not plastic, and attentive service. We never had to ask to refill our tea. What about the food you say. We ordered a basic beef dish with string beans, and salt and pepper mixed seafood both for around $16. The salt and pepper is peeled shrimp, fish, squid lightly battered. Excellent! They're not afraid to salt it. IDK how they did it but the string beans with the beef were really tasty and plentiful. The beef itself was fine. I'm coming back for all those Dungeness crab options they have someday.

Really had a good dim sum meal. All the food was very tasty and done really well. You just order off the picture menu, note how many of each and then they bring it out as it steams. It's not a large place but seems like a very decent crowd for lunch on a winter weekday. My brother who goes to Chinatown said this was one of his default go to for dim sum, so that's why we went. I was not disappointed. It's going to be on repeat for me for sure. Parking was difficult, but that is probably because I tried looking for street parking instead of parking in the $2 lot for 3 hrs.

Great service and delicious food!! We ordered the Hong Kong Crab and the salt and pepper squid. Crab was delicious, squid was cooked well and came as ordered. We only left wishing there was an option for grilled squid.

Came here on a Saturday morning and super thankful to be seated early. There was no wait! You order through a piece of paper selecting what you'd like to eat. Make sure to put what size you would like in the boxes or else they will automatically give you the largest size. The food was delicious but the service was another story. My party and I didn't get the best service. We'd ask for extra bowls and condiments, but it seemed like we were annoying the servers instead. Even when asking for the bill, it was hard to flag them down. When it came to leaving, the server saw that there was a low tip added to the bill and became unhappy. They cornered my one friend (three vs one people) and demanded more tip money. They didn't let her leave until they got her credit card to tip more money. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this was going on and thought she was using the restroom. This experience was quite fustrating/traumatizing so I will not be going here again. The food isn't that worth the customer service experience.

Always order dinner from here. Trying dim sum for lunch. It wasn't too busy but we got the last table for two. Only large tables were available I think they should stick to dinner. We didn't like the dim sum here. Not much taste and things were a bit cold. At least we tried it and can stick to our favorite places. We ordered a few usuals and tried a couple new things. The potsticker had a good amount of filling but it was cold. Yes pan fried and it came out cold. The preserved pork congee had no taste but came out with the fried dough you normally have to order extra. The Siu Mai's were small and didn't look appetizing. Then we ordered a chicken sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leave and when we opened it, it smelled spoiled. We returned it and they took it off the bill. And they didn't question us. They asked if we wanted to reorder and we said no. So we are sticking to dinner here only.

    Szchawn chicken lunch box $9.95
    Len L.

Amazing prices for lunch boxes - the websites shows $7.95 but they have raised the cost to $9.95. They have many favorites such as Yang Zhou fried rice for under $10. Food is legit and they prepared the items quick (under 15 min). This place is usually very busy and I always get satisfactory ratings for any entree's I order. Highly recommend.

We were celebrating Mother's Day with some lobster and dim sum. The sauce on the lobster was SO tasty, and our baby kept pointing at it because she wanted more. We also loved the potstickers, the beef crepe, the scallion pancake, and the brisket noodles. The place was packed, but the food came out fast.

MingHin was packed, loud, and a little chaotic. Worth it. Dim sum is an experience as much as a meal and MingHin delivers on both fronts. We ordered more than we could keep track of. Soup dumplings that immediately became the kids' personal obsession. Shu mai that hit every time. BBQ pork buns in every form they offered because obviously. Chinese broccoli to balance out the indulgence. Everything was solid, fresh, and exactly what you want from a dim sum spread. The room was packed and buzzing but the service kept up impressively. Servers were constantly circling, clearing empty plates and dishes without missing a beat. Clean and attentive even at full capacity, which is no small thing. Fair warning if you are bringing little ones: this environment is a lot. The noise, the crowd, the overwhelming parade of food arriving at the table. Our kids loved what they ate but the sensory experience was a bit much for them. This is a place better suited for a group of adventurous adults or older kids who thrive in high energy environments. Prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you get. A Chinatown institution for good reason. Just know what you are walking into and embrace it fully.

Communication was a challenge since very little English was spoken, and the descriptions of the dishes were lacking. I don't enjoy gambling on menu titles that sound good but end up being something completely different from what you expect. Some of the more familiar dishes were solid. The Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef were both pretty good and tasted like what you'd expect from most Chinese restaurants. Other dishes were much harder to understand, even after asking questions about how they were prepared or whether they were sweet or savory. We ordered the Sauteed Chicken in Hot Spicy Sauce Rice, which turned out to be very heavy on Sichuan peppercorns with a strong floral aftertaste. The chicken sat on a bed of what looked and tasted like deep-fried kale, and despite the word "rice" in the name, there was no rice in the dish at all. That's one item we won't be ordering again. We also tried the Fish Filet with Hot and Sour Lime Sauce. It was basically a sweet-and-sour style fish dish. It wasn't bad, but it leaned much sweeter than expected. Another thing to note: none of the dishes come with white rice--it's completely à la carte. We only found that out after ordering. With prices being what they are these days, it would be nice if they included at least some white rice like most Chinese restaurants do. Overall, the food wasn't terrible, but the lack of clear descriptions and communication made the experience frustrating. I prefer restaurants where expectations are clear rather than discovering surprises after the food arrives.
