We were looking for a margarita in Denver and stumbled on this place.. we had the Cadillac and it was alright. We shared the fajitas. It had nice portion sizes and they were pretty delicious. The salsa was very spicy, but the chips tasted bagged. Service was very friendly.

My friend found this place incidentally while walking home and ate there for lunch. He raved about how good it was I asked if he would be down to eat there twice in one day. He said yes so we stopped by for dinner and yep, absolutely worth it. Unassuming location with quick service. Had the steak fajitas and aguachiles la jefa. Friend had Carne asada tacos and we drank some margs. Nothing was phoned in, every aspect of the meal was fantastic from the rice and beans to the oyster shots. Can't wait to come back many many more times.

So far the best Mexican food I've had in Denver. I ordered fajita mix delicious flavorful asada, pollo, and shrimp w/ rice beans guacamole sour cream. I Couldn't get over how juicy the chicken was extremely flavorful it made me wonder what their secret was. I have a rule When I go out to eat if I take something that I know I can make better I usually don't go back there. Needless to say I will be back here as long as this chef is here.

Food and drinks were on point! Definitely would recommend. Too bad I could only eat so much because I'd like to try the rest of the menu! Everything on there looked so appetizing.

    Menu

Food was really good. Mango margarita was excellent. Had two. Friend loved the house margarita and couldn't get enough of the refried beans. Thought they had a smokey taste and raved about it. My friend and I don't speak Spanish. Staff (at the time of service) knew limited English so they didn't understand that I was trying to cover my friend's drink. If someone is trying to get details about an item or tell the staff about their food restrictions, they might want to ask for someone who understands English, use a translation app or learns Spanish before going. I would visit again.

Had dinner plans at the restaurant nearby, so popped in. The blood orange spritz was a good choice from the Happy Hour menu. It's a really solid neighborhood place with a good happy hour and fun daily specials (like Wednesday wine night). The atmosphere can also surprise you in the best way -- when the piano player is there, it adds a really nice touch and makes it a surprisingly romantic date spot. Food-wise, the chicken fingers are some of the best I've had. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The thin fries are amazing too -- the kind you keep eating long after you're full. The gravy and honey mustard are perfect pairings with the chicken and fries. The BBQ sauce, though, I could personally do without. Overall, a great neighborhood spot with good food, good specials, and a fun atmosphere.

For the price, we didn't get very much guacamole but it was good, as was the elote! The pork belly tacos were very good but the tortillas were too small for the amount of filling. My husband and our friends ordered The Continental, a black cherry Old Fashioned, and it was absolutely delicious ,smooth, balanced, and full of flavor (I definitely stole a few sips). I went with a vodka pineapple and later a cranberry vodka, both refreshing and perfect. Atmosphere: The theme here is so cool! It's all about Abraham Lincoln but with a modern, artistic twist. There's really neat artwork everywhere showing different looks of Lincoln. It feels like a true old timey speakeasy. It gets very busy after 8 PM, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but the energy inside is awesome. Price: This is the most budget-friendly spot I've found in the area. Almost everything is $5! It is CASH ONLY, but don't worry if you forget. They have an ATM inside for you to use. Drink: I ordered the Continental, which is their take on an Old Fashioned with a black cherry. It was delicious and definitely didn't taste like a cheap drink despite the price point. Service: Despite how packed it was, the service was incredibly fast. We got our drinks in maybe 2-3 minutes tops. The staff is efficient and friendly. Overall Experience: Whether you're visiting and staying near Union Station or just looking for a fun local getaway, I highly recommend this place. We walked from our hotel, but if you drive, be prepared to look for street parking or a garage. It's fun, cheap, and has great theme nights. I'll definitely be back!
