Had a private event at this location and wanted to compliment the staff for going out of there way to make us feel welcomed. The Broderick is a great cocktail spot located near Wash Park! We made reservations which made it easier for our large party to be seated. There were a mix of cocktails that you could choose from. I had the flight of old fashions which were yummy to have. There were a variety of options for our entire party. The only downfalls of this place is the pricey (we left with a hefty bill), and the volume was loud because it's a smaller bar. Besides that, it's a great spot to check out. read more

Came here for an unexpected comedy show and had such a nice time. It's on a cute little street in wash Park, with lots of shops and restaurants. They set up about 30 chairs for the comedy show in the back and it was the perfect cozy space, with the bar bustling in front. They had a great craft cocktail menu. I believe I tried the gardeners drink with the Mezcal, it was delicious. I also snacked on the pistachio dark chocolate cups and they were so good. Consider it the health food option if you want to drink with friends. I also tried the black walnut old fashioned, complex and flavorful, alcohol-forward with nutty notes and a lot of depth. Cute new(ish) cocktail spot on Gaylord! We were allowed to seat ourselves anywhere in the front or back of the place - lots of cute couch/chair seating areas. We were a bit puzzled about how many large tables were in the back though. It's not a restaurant (just have a few snacks/charcuterie) and I think it would help the vibe to stick to just little couch-y areas and get rid of those big tables. Like an area for 2, an area for 3-4, an area for 6-8. The long table in the middle seemed very out of the place. Anyway, the menu leans a bit heavily on brown liquor-based cocktails which aren't always my jam, but I made it work. I got the winter margarita - pretty good, definitely heavy on the tart cranberry flavor. Second, I got the "bright eyed" but asked to make it alcoholic and opted for gin. I think I preferred that one to the margarita. I was with my husband and other friend who prefer brown liquor drinks and both really enjoyed theirs. The server gave us all small samples of the 'spiced buck' which I thought was very tasty, felt very fall/winter. We were peckish and went for the combo charcuterie board which was really good. I don't tend to be a big cheese person, but I tried some of the brie and it was amazing - nice saltiness to it. One of the meats was a lamb salami (?) which was great too. And the marinated artichokes! I could've eaten a plate of those. Prices were fairly typical for cocktail style bars in the area. All of the drinks were made well. They have some spins you can try on two of the classics (Negroni and Manhattan). Both cocktails were excellent, but the Espresso Martini was the star of the night -- smooth, rich, perfectly balanced, and honestly one of the best I've had in Denver. The Martinez was also a standout -- classic, complex, and beautifully made. And yes, they also have Gino Panino's paninis on the menu, which is a perfect pairing with cocktails. Came here after it was full at the Delorean. There was a private party in the back and we were told was ending in ten minutes so I put my name in for a table and we ordered drinks at the bar. There isn't much room at all in the front near the bar, and even with plenty of staff it took over 5 minutes of me staring at them to get anyone to acknowledge me to order a drink. The cocktails are premixed, and not the most balanced honestly. I had the espresso martini and my friend had the mezcal negroni. We stood at the bar waiting for our table and after 30 minutes I asked about our table and only AFTER following up was I told the staff member was "given bad information and the party is there another hour." Eye roll. There isn't anything good about our experience. We actually ordered apps but didn't receive them so got them off the bill, but no apologies and we weren't rude, I asked about the table and had our drinks and left. There's zero reason to go back, and not sure there was a good reason to go at all. 1/10. read more

Broderick is Uncle Tim's physical tasting room and event space. They have a production space in a industrial area of Denver where they offered tastings in a small space last year. They have had pop-ups in the Farmers markets the last few years. Now a real tasting room with light food choices and plenty of room to socialize. It opened August 15th. I started with their version of an Aperol Spritz for only $10. Very nice drink. Next I got their barrel-aged Mezcal Negroni. A strong and proper cocktail. They offer light snacks, 2 Gino Panino Paninis, a salad and sweets. I got the Elisa panini with salami & honey pistachio mascarpone on foccacia and a romaine salad. I came here for a cocktail happy hour for the Village Institute and I had a great time. My mocktail was SO TASTY! I got the Falling Leaves and I 1000% would get it again. I've gone to other places where the mocktails don't really live up to the other drinks or the price, but I didn't feel that way, at all, here! The service was so amazing! I was really impressed by the server remembering all of our drinks and credit cards and delivering them individually to us...that is not an easy feat and takes intention and care! Since the event had a great turnout, it was a little cozy/squished in here, but that didn't really impact my experience. I appreciated that they were a partner to a local nonprofit and that they host nonprofits Tuesday evenings? There's a range of seating options, with cute chairs/couches to choose from. The mixologists and servers were all very nice and helpful with choosing the best cocktail (or mocktail) for you. The cocktails are pre-bottled and ready to pour over ice. I tasted a sample of the Sage Honeypot (seasonal) and it was delicious. We learned that there are comedy shows on Thursday evenings and live music on Sunday's! I tried a variety of snacks they offer, including the truffle potato chips, pickled veggies, and olives which were all scrumptious. I ended up ordering a mocktail, Bright Eyed, and it was super yummy and not too sweet in my opinion. Pricing is pretty standard for a cocktail lounge, ranging from $10-20 per drink (mocktails were $10). It looks like there is outdoor seating for the warmer months. All street parking which can get a little challenging in the neighborhood. I'll definitely be back to this cocktail lounge! Great spot to kick off a date night. read more

From our friends at uncle Tim's comes the new tasting room Broderick!! I love everything about it. No notes... Seriously! Of course, the cocktails are fantastic, the space is a total vibe, and I love that they are doing things like don't tell comedy on Thursday nights! Such a great addition to the neighborhood and to Denver! Service is great, although it can be a little slow if they're busy, so just be patient because sometimes they literally just get their butts kicked for hours on end, and they're not making half assed cocktails so be cool y'all!! It's worth the wait! They've been sold out of the Panini's every time I've been so I'm looking forward to trying those, but they have some delicious meat and cheese boards, and other snacky things that have all been great! read more

However, after a long Saturday and in jeans and a t-shirt, (both clean, not ripped, etc.), I went in; was scanned up and down by a haughty bartender; and, made to feel most uncelcome as if I failed to meet his standards for a patron. I've been here 4 times now and have really enjoyed this place! The ambience is so pleasant with cozy chairs and couches plus fun art. My favorite drink is the sage honey pot.
