Been coming here for year. It is my favorite mariscos spot in LA. Everything is a 100/10.

Chose this place to "check out" a new Mariscos spot in the area for my convenience. I always like to drive away from my current establishment. Parking was confusing but let me just clear the air by saying that the lot next to them (that looks like a clinic) is welcome for you to park there. Moving forward, I walked in and waited for a bit "to be seated" as we all should (by the way) and the greeter/waiter by the name of JR greeted me and offered me a counter spot for myself or the booth he saw me eyeing. He didnt make a face or gesture and invited me to sit there. Once i sat, my experience began. Jr was so attentive with me and everyone else, like on the dot. He'd be checking a table out and ill reach in for a request and he would fulfill it right away! His multitasking skills were amazing. I wanted to actually hire him as the manager that i personally am lol. Tostada de ceviche was great! Right portion for the price. The michelada did its thing (ordering a michi can be scary cus some places dont get it right) and man truthfully im here today to give him the review he deserves. The restaurant and environment was really chill, even at the peak hr i was in for. Thank you Jr

Such a great place to get together to grab sushi and delicious ceviche! Everything on the menu is so delicious! They just moved across the street from the original location, right now they are next to the KFC/Taco bell. Must try place! The owner is super nice and very welcoming.

A lot of people waiting. Not enough parking. The girls employees were nice didn't offer a lot of customer service. Food arrived fast. The food portion's were ok. Food taste was nothing that WOW me. We came to try this place because we were in the area, I will not drive here just to eat here again. The ambience was good not loud.

We chose to sit outside with the beautiful evening temperatures. We tried of variety of the appetizers including the spicy edamame, crispy rice, and vegetables tempura. They have a variety of lunch specials, including a sashimi combo meal with 8 pieces, salad, rice, and choice of a side. So good. My sons ordered a sushi lunch combo, tempura kids meal, and some gyoza/soft shell crab -- all delicious. As a treat we also ordered the A5 Wagyu (which they allowed us to order for lunch). It was prepared table side and was just incredible. Our server Kelly was amazing! Loved her great recommendations, and she constantly checked in with us. Her German/Ecuadorian heritage coincided with an upcoming World Cup match, so having her as our server was extremely fortuitous. The restaurant ambiance is simple yet welcoming along the main road. Parking was a little crowded but we found street parking not far away. I love how they have a waitlist and how food came out really quickly. They have their own special soy sauce recipe! We ordered some takeout food on the side and Kelly was on top of it all. Thanks to Kelly, the delicious food and fast service, this place is exceptional and gets high marks for me. I highly recommend checking out this place.

The fish is always incredibly fresh, with clean flavors and generous cuts that don't feel skimpy like some other takeout spots. Their rolls are well-balanced (not overloaded with rice), and everything tastes like it was made with real care--even when you're just grabbing a quick order to go. What really sets Yanagi Kitchen apart is how reliable they are. Whether it's a simple sashimi combo or a full spread of rolls, the quality never dips. The presentation is great for takeout too, which is a nice bonus. Service is fast, staff is friendly, and orders are always accurate. It's become my go-to whenever I'm craving sushi without the dine-in fuss. Highly recommend--this place is a South Bay gem.

They have a self-order kiosk, and our food was ready in about 10 minutes. My husband and I shared an avocado salmon roll, scallop sushi, albacore sushi, and a tempura roll. Unfortunately, everything tasted really bland even with soy sauce, maybe they don't season their sushi rice? For us, this is a one-and-done spot.

"Old‑School Charm at its best, Big Flavor, and Toshi Running the Show" Walking into this Sushi spot feels like stepping into a time capsule of Japanese tradition, warm wood, calm energy, and that unmistakable "this place has stories" ambience. It's an old‑school sushi spot in every sense: no gimmicks, no trendy neon signs, just pure craftsmanship and a bar where Chef Toshi himself keeps the vibe social, friendly, and effortlessly smooth. The service is excellent, the kind where you're greeted, remembered, and taken care of without ever feeling rushed. Chef Toshi has that rare ability to run the bar, chat with guests, and still plate dishes so beautiful you start wondering if he has extra hands hidden somewhere. "Special thanks to the whole entire staff!" And the food? Oh yeah, my stomach had a field day. Highlights from our feast * Spicy tuna, bold, fresh, and the kind that makes you pause mid‑bite like "okay, this place is serious." * Hamachi, buttery, clean, and dangerously smooth. * Sashimi combination, a lineup of pristine cuts that look like they were plated by a sushi architect. * Sushi combination, true classic, balanced, and executed with that old‑school precision you only get from a seasoned chef. Thank you Toshi!! * Karaage with garlic, crispy, juicy, and scientifically engineered to disappear from the plate too fast. * Black cod -- A must try, so delicious! Omakase style, melt‑in‑your‑soul perfection. The kind of dish that makes you close your eyes for a second and pretend you're in a food heaven. So good! * Sake, Wow..so smooth, delicious, and the perfect companion to everything we ordered. Not too sweet, not too sharp, just right. So delicious and dangerous! "I love it!" Between the old‑school ambience, the excellent service, the special attention vibe thanks to Chef Toshi, and the outstanding food, Toshi Sushi is one of those Gardena gems that proves tradition still wins, especially when the sake is flowing and the black cod is life‑changing. "One bite at a time!" "I will definitely be coming back really soon!" Miguel C.

They share the lot with a ramen shop and bar so I would think parking would be challenging at night. My wife ordered a lunch special that included tempura, chicken karaage, assorted rolls, and 3 pieces of nigiri sushi that was very reasonably priced. It also comes with an egg custard, salad and miso soup. I ordered an assortment of nigiri sushi that included salmon, tuna, sea urchin, mackerel, unagi and a negi toro hand roll. The sea urchin was some of the best I've ever had. The only one that disappointed me a bit was the hand roll. It wasn't bad but didn't match the level of the other sushi I ordered. Everything else was superb and we left very satisfied. I would come back more often but my wife always wants to try new places so it takes me a while to get back to places I really enjoyed previously. Hopefully, Toshi will be an exception so I can return very soon for another round of amazing sushi.

Hidden in plain sight, Kagura is a top tier Japanese dining experience. It should be noted that this place is more $$$ than it is $$, and that's a compliment. I dropped $50+ here and it was easy to say it was worth it. I treat myself to the Kagura Gozen chef especial that was limited on how many was served per day and a Orion Okinawa draft beer. Plus, I had leftovers. The chef special came with more-than-a-little of everything. Each dish was unique and delicious. I was treated to a full spread of amazing Japanese cuisine. Sashimi was fresh, katsu was thick and juicy with a lightly breaded crust, eel was flavorful and soft, and the soba noodles were perfect. The restaurant is clean and beautifully laid out. I got vibes of actually being in Japan. If you have a reservation, you can get a private booth. The attractive staff were fantastic. Friendly and fast. It was a huge meal and I was honestly surprised I managed to finish the whole thing. I really enjoyed it because you get to try so many different items in one meal. If you're like me and love Japanese food, this is a great way to sample a little bit of everything without having to order a bunch of separate dishes. Everything tasted fresh and the quality was excellent. The restaurant itself isn't very big, so it can get pretty busy. They do take reservations though, which I'd recommend if you're planning to come during dinner. Overall, I really enjoyed this special Gozen meal and would definitely come back. It was a fun experience and a great value for the variety and quality of food you get.
