The waitress was friendly but after I ate I asked her for the check and she said ok. I waited 15 minutes and still received no check. So I went up to the cashier to pay and I asked a guy in line and he said you just come to the cashier and pay without a check. No staff told me this and this was my first time at this restaurant. The food was ok but not that great. I had chicken quesadillas . Not much chicken on a large tortilla . Around 2 inches from the edge was nothing. The food was good as usual however today we went for breakfast. We were not greeted however we were asked "booth or table?" When we answered she then pointed to where we were to go and that was it. No words spoken. When we received our meal I asked for some jelly for our toast and two jars of jam were placed on our table. Not individual servings but community jars!! Yeah, I don't think so. Very surprised to find muy autentico Tex Mex food in northeast Texas. We San Antonio snobs don't expect to find anything this good north of Austin, but here it is. Good bar. Great salsas. Lengua, tripas, and seriously good pastor for tacos. A killer queso flameado that they kindly label "choriqueso" for us gringos. And wait for it: HANDMADE corn tortillas! Strong flautas.
