First visit with a couple coworkers for lunch. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was tasty. Not the absolute best Mexican food I've had, but better than many places and nothing was bad. I ordered the Combo #1 with a Cheese Enchilada & Shredded Beef Taco, served with rice and beans. My coworkers had the Shrimp Empanizado, a cup of Caldo de Pollo (chicken soup), and Two Chicken Mole Enchiladas. Everyone was happy with their selections and the prices were reasonable. This restaurant is located across the street from one of my job sites, so I'm sure I'll be back to try some other dishes.

A friend ordered me food from here on door dash. I ordered the chili relleno and enchilada ranchera combination plate. It was so good i didn't even get a picture before I dove right in. They also included the cutest hand written note which i thought was so sweet. I would absolutely order from here again

Popped in for a little office lunch. Service was on top of it as they sat us quickly and took our drink orders immediately. The place has a very casual atmosphere with a jukebox on one wall. I ordered up the three item combo consisting of rolled tacos, Chile Relleno and cheese enchilada. All were very yummy. And if you are a chips and salsa person, those were good as well. Overall, good experience and we'll be back.

Ordered to go. I snapped the picture of the menu for everyone to look at. Took my order and repeated everything afterwards so to make sure my order was correct. There's a front and back entrance in case the front parking is full. Great place to come sit down

(Not sure if he's the manager now or a different person, but every server here is polite and efficient). Our usual order is 1lb of shrimp and 1lb of mussels, and we've always been happy with it. This time, we decided to try the Combo #2 because we wanted to add crab legs. We ordered three combo bags, each with shrimp, mussels, and crab legs. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like there was anywhere close to 1lb each of shrimp and mussels in the bags. I can't prove it, so I can only share our experience, but it honestly felt like there were fewer than 15 shrimp in the bag. For the first time ever, we finished our meal and were still hungry afterward. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering the combo bag. Not only did it seem like there was significantly less food, but with all the ingredients piled together, some items ended up overcooked. We were really disappointed because we've had consistently good experiences with multiple locations here over the years. Hopefully this was just an off day, but we'll be sticking with ordering the seafood separately next time.

The dining area is a very clean and comfortable. Once seated, an aji verde salsa and cancha was brought to the table. The cancha is a nice touch, the corn is crispy and light. I ordered the Pollo Saltado with an extra portion of rice and a Chicha Morada. The beverage was very refreshing. The meal came out quickly. The chicken was tender and well seasoned with soy without being too salty. There was a fair amount of onions and tomatoes which were stir-fried along with the meat. The fries were freshly made with a light crispy exterior and creamy interior to soak up the saltado sauce. The aji verde salsa was on the spicy side but tasted good as an accompaniment to the dish. There was plenty of sauce from the stir fry for the extra portion of rice I ordered. I plan on ordering the Lomo Saltado next time. The staff were polite and efficient. Plenty of parking in their lot. Definitely on the list for the next time I am in the area.

Parking is very easy and ample. We walked into the restaurant and were greeted by their workers. There was a nice lady who seated the four of us towards the back. They had an AC machine blasting cold air in the back, and it was definitely needed on such a hot day. She was quick to give us waters, and after five minutes, she quickly came back to take our orders. Talk about efficient! She had also given us an appetizer to start our meal off: some nuts and a spicy green dip. It was a great start! We ordered the following: Yuca Fries - came out piping hot and crispy! They also paired it with a wonderful spice filled cheese dip. Platanos - also came out very hot with cripsy edges. Very sweet and ripe. Passion fruit Maracuya - tasted like passion fruit and was very refreshing! Tallarin Verde Con Lomo - The beef on top was to die for. It was juicy, savory, and tender. Absolutely fantastic! Their pesto and cheese on top of the pasta was fairly heavy. I was a bit disappointed with this dish. Tallarin Saltado De Pollo - Chicken was tender and well seasoned (though I preferred the beef). I actually liked the pasta on this dish more than the pesto - it was a bit salty, but kind of addicting to eat. You can taste the garlic and basil very well. Alfajores Box - I truly like these cookies more than the type of cookies I'd get at Porto's. These cookies are quite fragile, but absolutely fantastic. They're crumbly, sweet, and the center is perfection. For a box, you get 8 of them. Definitely worth the dime. My friends also ordered their seafood fried rice and another rice dish. I didn't taste theirs but I do have a photo! Their website states that this is the best Peruvian food in Ontario, and fortunately, I'd have to agree with them. When I come back, I'd definitely get their cookies and plantains again. Their Tallarin Saltado is also a must. Great atmosphere, clean restaurant, wonderful staff, and fantastic food!

After entering the store, the place seems clean enough. There's a counter for the take out and ordering. The menu is pretty standard fare, including lots of grilled foods, tacos, and burritos. I ended up ordering the burrito bowl and the taco platter. Both dishes are made to order as you can see the chef in the area where you pick up your dishes. The staff is all friendly and willing to help if you need something like an extra plate or some utensils. The food was definitely the highlight. Maybe because it was made to order but you could taste the cheese as it's just about to melt between the layers of rice cooling down and the meat still resting. It was a good balance of the colder items in the bowl with the ones just prepared. The seasoning was just right as well. Nothing was too salty or overpowering to the point that I needed to get lots of refills at the drink fountain. The decor suggests that the food style is Ensenada inspired. In that case, I will have to try the seafood and baja style at some point. I definitely recommend coming here if you get a chance. And coming back multiple times if you have been here before.

Now, they are $4.50 per taco and $3.50 on Wednesdays. The fish tacos were a letdown for the price. The fried fish was centered in the taco and there was a half inch gap in front and back of the taco. They also skimped out on cabbage and tomatoes on each taco. The tortillas were stiff and overcooked. We also ordered 11 tacos and they only gave us 2 grilled chili's. The only good thing is that they brought back the red and green salsa squeeze bottles. We did get a large beans and they had a burnt taste to them. AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)

Sam did a great job taking care of us throughout our entire meal. He regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, including refills, extra lemons, and pepper. The service was excellent from start to finish! My wife and I ordered 2lbs. of shrimp at $17/lb, with add-ons including corn at $1.95 each, potatoes at $2.95, and 1/2 sausage for $8.95. We also had a soda for $4.50 with free refills. Our total came out to $59.05, including tax. We chose the house mix with the spicy flavor, and it was delicious! The shrimp was flavorful, and we were completely satisfied with the both the food and the service. We're definitely adding this place to our list of go-to spots and will be back again!
