We had a great experience at Bag O' Crab. We ordered to go, two seafood boil bags with all the sauces, one "not so spicy" and one mild. The seafood bags were really enjoyable overall, though I will say the "not so spicy" still packed more heat than expected for me. Flavor was on point, just spicier than anticipated. We also ordered the garlic noodles and the fried shrimp basket. The fried shrimp were a standout! Perfectly cooked with what tasted like a crispy panko coating, and absolutely delicious. Overall, the food was flavorful and satisfying. Would definitely come back, just with a lighter spice level next time.

Bag O'Crab is one of our favorite restaurants. Service is always friendly and quick. We love to order combo special 1 with crawfish and shrimp. Although it is small location it is very cozy and we are always seated quickly/ usually have no wait time. Our favorite seafood boil restaurant in the IE for sure.

We didn't realize tasty pot and this place were connected! We wanted something different from tasty pot so we went next door to try this place. They sat us down in tastypot but brought us a different menu for the Bag O'Crab place. The place itself was very clean as it is the same place as tasty pot. The service was the same as tastypot, fast and efficient! They brought the food out to us within a few minutes. I had the shrimp and crab bag with garlic butter and cajun spice. It reminded me of a less intense version of kickin crab which was a welcome flavor! The shrimp and crab tasted amazing and they added sausage to the bag as well which added a nice spice flavor to the sauce. Overall I enjoyed the experience and plan to visit again.

The restaurant is clean and mostly empty on a Tuesday night. We came here and ordered a couple of combos, which is the better deal than ordering a la carte. For appetizers, avoid the GARLIC NOODLES and Cajun WINGS. The garlic noodles were made with fettucine noodles instead of egg noodles. They lack flavor and the texture isn't there. The wings are breaded then fried. This gives them a bready coating. I would compare this to a step below sizzler wings if you know what I'm talking about. They are on the smaller size which didn't help. We ordered the following seafood in Atomic sauce medium spice. I got a side of their on fire XX and it wasn't that spicy. They do include a lot of chopped garlic compared to The Boiling Crab. I miss the old boiling crab days of tons of sauce/garlic and they didn't overcook the shrimp. Crawfish - Out of season as of November. The crawfish head wasn't juicy and had a watery flavor, the meat was poor quality (soft texture and dry). I'll have to give it another try when they are in season. Shrimp - Heads were delicious and the meat was firm and bouncy. Not overcooked like boiling crab. We had 2 lbs and only had maybe 1-2 mushy shrimps. I would recommend going with this. King crab - Overall good, nothing special The corn was overcooked but still good. I really enjoyed the sausage, which was snappy, flavorful, and good textured. No one wants to eat a cheap baloney type sausage.

This place is absolutely AMAZING easily the best seafood boil we've ever had and without a doubt the best in the area! My partner and I come here every couple of weeks because nothing else compares. The sauce is flavorful and perfectly balanced thick but not too heavy and the minced garlic is spot on every time. The garlic fries are cooked to perfection, crispy and packed with flavor. Our food always comes out hot, fresh, and in a timely manner, which we really appreciate. The service is consistently excellent our server always checks in just the right amount to make sure we're taken care of. This has become our go-to spot and we can't recommend it enough!

This place was by far one of the worst place I've ever ate at for seafood boil. Not sure how people like this place. Food was pre made for sure and the toast was Texas garlic bread you can just tell!!!! Beer was warm. The food came in like less than 5 mins??? How??? I mean put the pieces together. After I confronted the lady idk if she's the owner about the shrimp having absolutely no flavor or that it was watery she kept making up excuses like you got less spicy that's why...? Like whether it was spicy or not the flavor wasn't there!!! Super watery. And she didn't even apologize or anything she just left the bag on the table. I told her I ain't paying for it and she just walked away. Such great costumer service. After that NO ONE checked up on. Overall disgusting place. Avoid at all cost

We've always been die hard Boiling Crab fanatics so it was our mission to find a seafood boil spot on our new town. After trying several different locations around Rancho and Fontana, I'm so pleased to share that we found our new spot. Personally I enjoy the sauce to have chunks of garlic not that puréed garlic sauce. Bag O' Crab has that kind of garlicky yummy goodness in the atomic sauce. They also have really good combos. The Combo 1 is our go to which consists of choosing two seafood options (1 lb each) and includes two corns two potatoes and four sausage slices for $31.95!! Amazing bang for your buck! Another tip- you can order from their menu when eating at the restaurant next door "Tasty Pot". I love to get a lb of head on shrimp and it pairs so nicely with the hot pot!!

Location: This restaurant is located off of fourth St. close to Milliken. The location is quant and seats about 30 people . They offer Tv with closed captions. Tonight they had Monday night football on! The restrooms were very clean. Service: We were warmly greeted and seated right away. The wait time was about 20-25mins. There was a kitchen staff of two plus our waiter however that did not affect the service as it was exceptional speedy service. Food: I ordered the medium level sauce which was the perfect amount of spice &flavorful for me with tons of garlic and butter. shrimps were a large size. The food was piping hot, definitely fresh to order! The sausages and corn had great flavor. The rice was fluffy and steaming hot! Overall: This is definitely one of the best seafood boil I've ever had. Usually I drive 40 min to boil crab because I'm Particular about the taste. I'm glad I decided to try a local spot because Bag o' crab is definitely It!!! Thank you Bag o crab I will be coming back and telling my friends to come too!

AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)

Sam did a great job taking care of us throughout our entire meal. He regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, including refills, extra lemons, and pepper. The service was excellent from start to finish! My wife and I ordered 2lbs. of shrimp at $17/lb, with add-ons including corn at $1.95 each, potatoes at $2.95, and 1/2 sausage for $8.95. We also had a soda for $4.50 with free refills. Our total came out to $59.05, including tax. We chose the house mix with the spicy flavor, and it was delicious! The shrimp was flavorful, and we were completely satisfied with the both the food and the service. We're definitely adding this place to our list of go-to spots and will be back again!

The poor experience began at the host stand. I had a reservation for 1:15 PM but arrived early and was sat at 12:56 PM. Despite my active reservation, when the host led me to the table, she asked if the reservation was under "M." When I got to the table and asked who "M" was, she dismissively replied that they "just put down an alphabet." I told her my name was Will, but she didn't care to acknowledge it or correct her mistake. This cold shoulder continued throughout the meal. When asked about drinks, I said "water for now," and every time I said "thank you" to our server, I was met with complete silence and zero acknowledgment. Once my guest--who is white--joined me at the table, the dynamic shifted entirely. He received 95% of the server's warmth, eye contact, and attention. The only time the server actively engaged with me was to take my physical food order. Even the food had issues--our first crab cake was served overcooked. Because my guest was the one who pointed it out, the manager came over and addressed him to replace it. While the manager's interaction was a bit better, the server's dismissive attitude toward me never improved for the rest of the meal. To top it off, I was the one who paid the bill. When the server returned my credit card, instead of handing it back to me, she chose to place the presenter book directly in the middle of the table. As a business owner, I understand how critical customer service is. The selective attentiveness and dismissive attitude I experienced today felt incredibly biased and completely ruined our lunch. I will not be returning to this location.

A flavor memory brought back to life…read more Our family traveled to Puerto Vallarta about 3-4 years ago, and one of the things we love most about traveling is getting off the beaten path and exploring places that feel a little more authentic and local. On that trip, we ventured deep into inland/semi-coastal Jalisco and ended up at a little eatery called Ok Corral Restaurant & Bar in Cabo Corrientes. The food was incredible, but one dish in particular stole my daughter's heart: pescado zarandeado, specifically red snapper. She loved it so much that she basically stole my food. Since that trip, my daughter and I have had a little mission of our own: find that fish again and find the version that brings back that exact flavor memory. Then we found Las Nuevas Islas in Fontana. From the moment we walked in, the experience was fantastic. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, but what really stood out was how much they cared about getting my daughter's meal right. We let our 9-year-old explain to our waiter what she remembered about the fish from Mexico. She asked if they had red snapper. He initially told us they were using tilapia, but mentioned that they had just received a shipment of fresh fish and was almost certain there was some red snapper in it. He went back to check. Sure enough, they had it. But he didn't stop there. He asked to see the picture we had from Mexico so he could see how the fish was seasoned and cooked. He took that information straight back to the chef and asked if they could prepare it the way my daughter remembered it. And my goodness, they absolutely nailed it. The fish was cooked perfectly, beautifully seasoned, and had that charred, savory flavor we had been trying to find for years. Watching my daughter take that first bite and seeing the smile on her face was worth the trip alone. Our waiter jokingly asked her, "How is it? Do you like it?" She looked at him and said, "I'm sorry, no, I don't like it... I LOVE IT!" Seeing the smile on his face after hearing that, and seeing my daughter relive a flavor memory from a family trip years ago, was one of those little moments that makes a restaurant experience much more than just dinner. We also had the fish ceviche tostada, which was incredibly fresh, bright and refreshing, and my wife had the fried fish tacos, which were perfectly battered and delicious. And that green serrano salsa deserves its own mention. It is seriously spicy, but absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is huge, with a great open feel, a beautiful and simple bar, a stage for live music, and an overall atmosphere that feels incredibly welcoming. But what we'll remember most is the people. The waiter could have simply said, "We don't have red snapper." Instead, he went looking. Then he went back again. Then he talked to the chef. They listened to a 9-year-old describe a fish she remembered eating in Mexico years ago and did everything they could to recreate it for her. That's hospitality. Las Nuevas Islas didn't just serve us a great meal. They helped our daughter bring a little piece of a family memory back to life. If you're looking for Nayarit-style mariscos, pescado zarandeado, fresh seafood, great service and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, I can't recommend Las Nuevas Islas enough.
