Under new management recently and I can say they are doing a great job! All their tacos had handmade tortillas. The fish taco was nicely battered without being too bready while the Mole with chicken taco was deliciously spiced and served with beans AND rice. Things to try: UNLIMITED all you can eat tacos on Tuesdays for $6 All drinks are bottled as they don't have a drink fountain yet, but they also have cold "aguas frescas". read more

Honestly the only reason they are getting any stars is because last time I was here thar server was great and he made a great margarita. But DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT. It's been 45 minutes, we ordered two simple tacos and we still don't have our food. It's legit ridiculous. How does it take 45 minutes to make a shrimp taco? Ok place. I tried the chicken carne asada nachos. It was pretty small and look like something I would do at home. The beans and cheese did not taste right. Service was ok. A DJ was in the house and a soccer game on the television when I dined it and it was way to loud. With all the other available options in the area, this is a place to skip. read more

Went there last nite 2/26/2022 to have dinner place was packed and music was way to loud. Was not able to hear waitress when placing our order. Hubby had the pescado sucio and instead they brought him 2 mojarras. He asked for a coke in a bottle and they gave him a coke in a can. The manager tends to rush u out once he sees ur not consuming alcohol. I was not done eating or drinking my Margarita I went to the restroom and Manager tried taking my plate. The wait for the food is horrible they try to fill u up with chips and salsa while u wait. It seems like they rush you to eat so they can get the people waiting in. We moved to Escondido today and was craving Mariscos, so of course we yelped it!!!! GO HERE, go now!!!! Only downside was they do have live music and it gets really loud so it's hard to talk and that's fine if you don't enjoy your company ;) but the food was awesome!! I'll take pics next time !!! As she walks out the artist says aloud "this should be interesting". My wife is a small blonde haired blue eyed woman of Irish decent. Not 5 minutes later she returns. She walked into the establishment which was filled predominately with "those of spanish speaking decent" and was greeted with a questioning "can I help you?" To which she responded "yes, I would like to have a beer while my husband gets a tattoo next door". The waitress asks another man something in spanish and replies "we have no room for you", all the while there are at least 3 empty chairs at the bar and several tables open. She replied "uhh umm okay" and proceeded to leave. The waitress and the other "gentlemen" even followed her out the door and watched her walk into the tattoo shop. First I waited 15 minutes for a waitress to approach me to ask if I wanted anything .. I said yes , she went and got me a menu and said she would be right back ... there was absolutely not one person in the restaurant her friend came in and she chatted with her 15-20 minutes I tried to get her attention when she noticed me she turned her back to me to ignore me (I should have left at that point) I finally ordered 3 sushi rolls $38.00 after waiting 30 minutes she came out with 3 boxes (still no one in the restaurant) I've been there 45 minutes now for 3 sushi rolls to go .. This place is nothing to rave about. I couldn't decide what to get, so I ordered the rolled tacos with rice and beans. You can't really go wrong with rolled tacos right? Wrong! They were very small compared to other mexican restaurants and the beef had a funny taste to it. There was a small dab of guacamole underneath a mound of shredded lettuce. The beans were runny and bland, but the rice was ok. My husband ordered a fish taco and a California burrito. The burrito was decent, but nothing special. The fish taco was horrible. Absolutely no flavor to it and I'm pretty sure they just put fish sticks in their taco instead of battering the fish themselves, which would taste much better. They were also out of a lot of things , like Al Pastor and Jaimaica. Oh, and the music was so loud! It was really hard to enjoy a meal in that atmosphere. If you like canned beans with some white cheese thrown on top, then this is your place to go. if you want to pay $6 for a mini taco then this is your spot. All the burritos are $16. ALL OF THEM. including just a bean and cheese burrito. A hot dog with ketchup and mustard? $10. That should put an image for pricing on the rest of their plates. There was a manager there when we dined in, and they did not come to explain or apologize after we returned one our plates back. He just came out of the kitchen and watched us for a few minutes then left. So very obvious they only care about customers who order alcohol. THIS IS A DRINKING PLACE ONLY. ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE IS LYING AND WAS PROBABLY DRUNK WHEN THEY ATE HERE. ALSO, THEY DON'T ID WHEN CUSTOMERS ORDER ALCOHOL. RED FLAG. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! We went in today to eat and our family is 15 people. The food was either to salty or to sugary, the prices are to high for what was served and each family got a gratuity punch of 18% on all of our bills. I had gotten up to escort one of my family members to there car and when I came back my sister said that the waitress asked her with an attitude that what happened to the lady that was here did she leave without paying? or are you going to pay for her bill? My sister politely told her she's coming she's escorting one of our family members. This was very unprofessional and I felt judged as a thief. I had invited my sister to eat there and I felt humiliated before her by this waitress actions. Then to my surprise our bill came and I looked at my bill and they added me food that we never asked or got so I shared with the busboy to tell the waitress to correct my bill. She (waitress) came back and threw my bill on the table without an apology. That made me even more angry so I picked up my bill to pay and my son in laws to take to the waitress and I shared with her that I came to her to pay my bill so she can be at peace and told her what she did was wrong and she said who told you that I said my sister and she immediately went outside to confront my sister and I with our whole family. What type of employee does such a thing so my daughter said to her who's the owner or manager and she said he's here so we went to talk to him and I shared with him what happened and he looked scared of his own employee. My husband and I came to this location on a Wednesday night when it wasn't very busy at all. Everyone around us had been served before we did and by the time our food came to our table, my fish and octopus and beans were cold as well as the two carne asada tacos my husband ordered. The seafood was overly seasoned and very salty whereas the rice had little to no flavor. I am disappointed because the atmosphere of the restaurant was very clean and bright with decor of the beach and ocean, and our waitress was so kind and friendly. If the food had been up to par with the atmosphere and service, this would have been a 5 star review, but the timing and the quality of the food were very poor. Seafood is one thing that I do not mess around with being left out and getting cold so unfortunately I will not be coming back. Maybe we just so happened to be the one poor experience at this restaurant and their food is actually good if you were everyone sitting around us, haha. read more

I came here a few years ago and wasn't impressed but now that it's under new Managment I have to say it has really picked up its service.
