I'm giving two stars because the owner was very kind and my coworker really like the tacos she got, I didn't taste them so I'm not sure how good they are. They leaned hard on alcohol without much flavor behind them--more "this will get you there" than "this tastes good." Nothing was terrible. But nothing made me want another bite, either. And with seafood, that's kind of the whole point. The atmosphere is friendly, great music, and the service was very attentive. Even the presentation wasn't bad. It just wasn't enough. I still have no idea what their actual catfish tastes like because I was flat-out lied to. None of the fish had any flavor whatsoever. The 6-piece butterfly shrimp was equally bland, offering zero seasoning and fried entirely TOO HARD!! For my side, I substituted the fries for shrimp fried rice, which turned out to be a massive mistake. The rice tasted incredibly old. It was very obvious they mixed hard, stale old rice with a newer batch to try and camouflage it. The only saving graces on the entire plate were the buttered toast and a miniature serving of coleslaw. Everything else was a total waste. To top it all off, they failed to provide any condiments, silverware, or napkins with the order. Between the deceptive fish swap, the old rice, and the complete lack of basic takeout essentials, this meal was absolutely not worth the price. I highly doubt I will ever be returning.
