Estimado equipo de Yolox, Me dirijo a ustedes para compartir mi experiencia decepcionante durante mi primera visita a su establecimiento. Creo que los comentarios son importantes para ayudar a mejorar la experiencia de los clientes, y espero que consideren mis inquietudes. En primer lugar, me sorprendió y decepcionó mucho descubrir que el estacionamiento tiene un costo. Aunque entiendo que algunos restaurantes cobran por el servicio de valet, me parece de mal gusto que un restaurante ubicado en una zona menos prominente de la ciudad imponga una tarifa de estacionamiento a los invitados. En segundo lugar, al ingresar, una empleada se acercó a mí antes incluso de poder sentarme. Amablemente me informó que mi vestimenta, específicamente mis shorts elegantes, no era apropiada. Iba a asistir a la celebración de cumpleaños de un amigo, y ni él ni su esposo, quienes son visitantes frecuentes de Yolox, estaban al tanto de alguna restricción de vestimenta. También eché un vistazo rápido alrededor del restaurante y no vi señalización que indicara un código de vestimenta, ni esta información estaba disponible en su sitio web. There's plenty of parking, but the parking isn't the best, because well, it isn't located in the best area... on Fulton, IYKYK.... Went for a friend's bday. There was mix of dressy & casually dressed people. Arrived around 10ish. The place was on the smaller side, dance floor is a bit small too but not a deal breaker. There was a DJ playing a good mix of Spanish music and the band was great! Really rocked and got the crowd moving/dancing. This venue specifically caters to spanish music. The waitress was busy but attentive. Was quick to bring rounds of drinks & stuffs. People danced by their tables and on the dance floor. Everyone was having a good time, no drama. Crowd was mostly 30-40's and older. Overall a good experience. Stop by if you're into rocking out in Spanish! Band - Awesome (Spanish Rock) Drinks - Good, typical bar/club prices Food - No comment, didn't eat there. Aside from chips & salsa, which were good. Service - Good! Waitress was busy was readily available. She was moving all night! read more

BEWARE!!! When our party arrived at this restaurant they apparently couldn't find our reservation that THEY actually made us pay beforehand. There was a lot of confusion after we finally sat down as there was another reservation made with the same name. Management then made us move to an entirely different table right next to the dance floor. People dancing kept dropping our drinks. The bathrooms were out of order so you had to walk to an entirely different building. And mind you, it was raining the day of so every time we had to take a bathroom break we had to walk through mud and get really wet. The bathrooms were located in an old, creepy building that was once a dance hall. We ordered chips and salsa but what we got was chips and tomato paste. The only good thing about this place was the music. Service, food, prices were horrible. Definitely not coming back. read more

First timer and came with my sister. There is a $5 parking fee so make sure you have cash. There's VIP parking but I don't know how much.The atmosphere is great and clean. The servers are friendly and attentive I give them that. There's plenty of seating space but... there's a big but!!! The place gets packed which I understand, you want to come eat, drink and enjoy the music... the waiter asked two tables including ours to share with other guest because they had nowhere to sit them..?? I'm like really?! That's very awkward.. I've been to places were you eat and sit to dance and listen to music and they get as packed as here and never have I ever been asked to have strangers sit with us.. talk about awkward lol.. imagine just sitting here watching someone eat lol. I guess meet new people and socialize. They are not very accommodating to seating.. seating a party of 6 for a table for four is a tight squeeze and for the big plates is not enough room (FYI there was a table for six free and they didn't give them the table)The food was good.. everything we saw that was brought out look good.. over priced though. Was really skeptic about going to this place because of reviews , but went with my wife who really wanted to go and had a blast. Also invited family members and they also had a really good time. Music was good and service was 100%. Service with a smile and no waiting. read more

They moved us from our table and moved us closer to a speaker that doesn't meet the standard for hertz there restroom is in another building that I didn't feel comfortable going to I was hoping for a good time but all they gave was bad hearing and bad tasting food i wouldn't come if you want to keep your hearing and want to be sat where people are dancing and knock over your drinks that you paid for i wouldn't recommend coming I repeat don't come here read more

This is a good drinking listening to music spot. The decor is regional Mexico style..with talavera planters, traditional floral wall paintings, bright colors, clay plates and hand woven baskets.Dont come for the food. Sorry but true. The chips were stale, the red salsa tasteless...that should have been our 1st indicator the food was going to be subpar. Point for the green salsa which was good.Friday evening and the place was lonely..indicator #2..but w/ the pandemic though it was expected.. I had the fajita/beef tacos (5) the tortillas were Very, Very greasy and the meat was salty. Hubby had the tamipquena with entomatadas the latter were good the meat again very salty. Atmosphere is great, the food is also delicious. There is however no drinks menu so whatever cocktails you order you don't know what you're paying. When we got there there was absolutely no one there which is weird. Despite that this spot has been several different restaurants I actually have good things to say. I wouldn't call this authentic Mexican or texmex but it was good and tasty they did stray away from the salt but a little pinch of salt and the flavor was there. The fajita tacos were great. A couple of the other things we got were good but the menudo was horrible I'm sorry I have to say it was terrible. I never judge food by just the first time I do always go back and try it again but that was the only thing that just was not up to par in mine and my daughters opinion. So glad this place opened up by me. They have the best mango margaritas and OMG THE STREET TACOS ARE THE BEST!!! Even their Ceviche tostados are the bomb!!! I give this place 5 starts because they have great service and they are following compliance. read more

This place has the best food! When we stopped by it was completely empty which can be off putting. Coupled with the fact that they don't have their menu listed online, I was hesitant to try it out. But my goodness am I glad I did! I had the red pozole and my partner had pastor tacos. Both were delicious! The soup had so much flavor, and lots of spice, and the tacos were tender and didn't fall apart. I was also pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was. I will definitely be back for more soon and I'm so glad to have this great addition to the neighborhood. read more

For a Mexican restaurant the food tasted like a Non-Mexican cooked it. Their salsa that they give with their chips taste like marinara. We ordered ya plate of Flautas and we received small fried taquitos with dried Chicken and over fried tortilla. We were enjoying their Cantarito, but the. The second round had a different taste. They had added some homey or agave to make it sweet, when we didn't even request it, it was disappointing. I enjoyed the "Rock en Español" songs but the awe full food, and the inconsistency of the drinks makes this place a I don't recommend. read more

El ambiente fue muy bueno, musica de rock en español en vivo. La comida estaba rica pero nada fuera de este mundo. Lo unico malo es que creo que no tenían suficientes trabajadores en la cocina, y a nuestra mesera se le olvido poner toda la orden, la mitad de la comida llego primero y literal como 1hora despues lo demas. Y las bebidas ni se diga, cuando le des dos tragos a tu bebida ordenen la otra por que de aquí en que te llega la otra ya te terminaste la que tenias y esperaste tus buenos 10minutos. The area doesn't look that great, but once you get past that, walk on in and it's like you've traveled to Mexico! The tacos are sooo delicious! The corn tortillas are on point just like that one taco stand I find myself reminiscing to that one time in Mexico! They tacos are cheap! Like a buck a pop! And they rotate a variety of homemade salsas, idk about much other, but the carnitas tacos were bomb! The bistek, trompo (with pieces of pineapple YUM) and so many more!! I've tried a variety of items, but i have to say hands down it's the tacos I come here for, so goood. Oh and the Rita specials are insane like $2-4 depending on the day! read more

Very nice looking restaurant. Their food is really good as well and i have tried so far their tacos al pastor and quesadillas. They have live music some Fridays for those that like Norteñas and Banda. On Saturday they have 80's or 90's latin music. Usually the environment is friendly and relaxed. Put people do have fun here on Friday's. read more

It's location isn't the best whatsoever which causes you to be iffy about the parking; but there's only so much they can do about that. There's plenty of parking so that in itself isn't the issue. There's no visible cameras outside in case of any incident but our visits didn't lead us to worry about anything. My first visit was July 2021 for a family birthday dinner. It's a huge number of us with about 5-6 waitresses (at the time) so there were many errors going on. (Empty place with just 2 other tables being waited on). We could tell they felt overwhelmed and began to have an "ughhh" attitude with us. It made us feel uncomfortable and like we were a bother; we didn't even feel comfortable asking for limes or napkins at that point lol. We brushed it off given the restaurant was relatively new. The food nor drinks were great so I personally hadn't planned to go back. Howeverrr, my boyfriend really loved the Tacos de Pulpo. We decided to go back this past Friday night due to his craving, & I was confident there had been plenty of improvements since last year. They've hired more people since & all staff is friendly and attentive! BUT, as no surprise, it's a part of the business to rack up your bill lol. Coincidentally enough, I looked through their IG page to see if any event was going on that night, & seen how they promote Happy Hour M-F, 5-9pm. Margaritas $5, Draft beer $3. We arrived around 7:30, & through the night I ordered 2 margaritas: mango & pineapple. The thick chamoy rim around it is goooood! Here's the catch on it though... our bill showed that my 2 margaritas alone cost me $30. But how if the happy hour they constantly promote states $5? We had paid by then so paying it wasn't an issue at that point, but I was curious/confused. A manager (?) walks around asking if everything is good, & I find the chance to ask about it. She goes to tell me, nope.. happy hour is M-Thursday. & $5 margaritas only meant the original lime ones. ...even though they were promoting it on pictures of the flavored margaritas. (Check their page for yourself to see the craziness!). I didn't question it further & we just personally decided to not come back. It left a bad taste to know that's how they run business. Now this comment is likely to have no effect whatsoever, but I figured it's some sort of heads up. read more

Yolox is the latest incarnation in this space. Mainly tacos on the menu and priced somewhat higher than you would expect. Definitely authentic and quite tasty. Service was excellent and we will be returning. Yolox is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. read more

The place is clean. You have several seating tables on the left; some standing tables made out of barrels on the right; a bar at the far right corner. There is a small dancefloor with a screen above it. There is outdoor seating. The overall cleaniness was impressive. I had chicken tamales that came with rice and a salad on a plate. Looks great outside and very festive inside but the food is awful. I guess the few reviews that I read were the employees. The food is overpriced and it was not authentic. Our tacos had no taste and our cheese dip was microwaved not appetizing at all, They used stringed cheese not smart. I will definitely tell my friends and family to skip this place. Oh by the way it's so loud in there you can not hear the waiters or your guest you have to scream. And the margaritas are water downed. After receiving my $43.00 dollar bill I left hungry what a shame. read more
