Incredible meal here! From the cocktails to the cold seafood dishes, I was really impressed. Their sauces are fantastic! For each cold dish, the sauces were complex, distinct, and perfectly compliments the seafood. And of course I loved the sauce sampler you get (or you can request, I forget). SNAPPER CEVICHE, KING SALMON AGUACHILE, TUNA TOSTADA are my top picks. I could probably do without the hot platter next time although great presentation, I think the taste is more one note than the cold dishes. And the whole fish was solid as well.

Impromptu trip trying to find a last minute restaurant for an excuse to stay out and ended up finding this spot. It's in the cut and something you'd miss that's right in your back yard. The inside is beautiful, the staff is LOVELY. My friend and I sat at the bar, Heaven was our bartender/server. She was amazing and the cocktails were top tier. We also met Fabiola & another woman who worked there too but I forgot her name it's been a few weeks. All of them were so conversational and a breath of fresh air. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. This is one of those spots you go to have a casual good time but still feel like you're fine-dining. Overall 10/10

Mariscos San Pedro was recommended by a longtime Chicago resident and it didn't disappoint. As a SoCal native and longtime L.A. resident, I was excited to explore Pilsen, the Mexican American neighborhood in Chicago. San Pedro was only a 20 minute walk from the National Museum of Mexican Art, so I was able to check out all the beautiful street murals during my stroll. Cuisine: 5/5. Taco de Camarones (Happy Hour Special and Bomb AF). Bursting with flavor, without bursting your wallet. I should have ordered more, but decided to try the Brandade Dorados. Considering I'm pretty basic with my mariscos (Taco de Pescado, Taco de Camaron, and Ceviche), this didn't disappoint my palette. Lot's of elements to this dish that create a memorable experience, even for a pollo/carne guy like myself. Salsa verde, Pico de gallo, lots of limon, and blue corn tortillas got the job done, followed by Flan to provide the master stroke. FYI: it's not a basic flan. Try it. You'll like it. Beverages: 4/5. San Pedro Margarita. Monopolio Lager Clara. Both refreshing and both a perfect blend to the meal. Get there early to take advantage of Happy Hour pricing. Service: 5/5. The entire staff was warm, friendly, and energetic. Big shout out to Yetzi for her service excellence! She offered great recommendations and made me feel like I wasn't a tourist. Also big shout out to the gentleman who bused the table. Y'all have a great team and I look forward to returning on the next trip to Chi-City. Ambiance: 5/5. Stylish, urbane, local vibe--and not touristy (except me). Great change from Magnificent Mile. You can tell it's a popular place and you'll see why when you eat here. Cumbias on lock (Los Angeles Azules, Sonora Dynamita, etc...) Buen provecho.

This place is super cute! The service was great, however when we ordered we asked them to stagger things out since we wanted to try a lot and we had a small table. They brought everything out almost all at once which isn't a huge deal but makes things feel messy especially when you're trying to have a nice dinner. Onto the food... the oysters and the tuna tostada were great, and why I chose to come try this spot. The scallop ceviche was pretty bland and the empanadas were very sweet for some reason. I did however lose my appetite when I bit into one of the shrimp and it immediately turned to mush. I understand things happen but after that bite I wasn't in the mood to eat anything else.

We really enjoyed the food. The corn bread was super delicious and we absolutely loved the tuna tostada. I felt like the crab Rangoon empanadas were skippable as they didn't have enough filling for the bready exterior. For the main, we got the mussels and the sauce is super flavorful and yummy. The service was a bit slow, but it's possible that it was just a busy night when we went. Drinks are normal, nothing out of the ordinary but tasty.

Tried their brunch and it was top notch! The breakfast empanada tops the list of best empanadas, and best breakfast items I've ever enjoyed. Only to be rivaled in deliciousness by the pan de elote. The surf and turf chilaquiles also held their own, though beware the spice is real! Another highlight, the classic breakfast and the bacon wrapped octopus. Clearly, we just could not stop ordering. The service was very friendly and super attentive. If you're building a short list of brunch spots you must visit while in Chicago, make sure this is on there, you'll thank me later!

This place is amazing. I was truly impressed by the quality of dogs and the service. Prior to going, I read reviews, and it seemed like only a few things were good. However that was not true, everything we ate was amazing. Hamachi aguachile, guacamole, and tuna tostada were great. Brandade was awesome. And our main course, the fish was great. The restaurant also had a great vibe, loved it.

The food was AMAZING!!!! I cannot stop thinking about the tuna tostada that literally melted in my mouth but also the flavors were having a party on my tastebuds!!! Everything I ordered was 100% delicious, but it was all thanks to my fantastic server Taylor! He took care of our table and explained everything in detail and steered us in the right direction, down to our drinks! He also recommended we get the cornbread and the mussels, and drizzle the broth from the mussels on the cornbread... it was incredible. The vibe was fun and on the nicer side of casual. Such an amazing time, I can't wait to go back!

Truly one of the best meals I've had in Chicago. The flavors are so well rounded and vibrant. I was able to try a variety of dishes and there was not one miss, although the stand outs were the salmon aguachile and mussels. 1000% recommend if you're in Pilsen area.

I've heard raving reviews about this spot, so this restaurant has been on my list for awhile! Snagging a weekday evening reservation was fairly easy (it wasn't busy at all), and the service and ambiance is nice. Now this is based on what I got. I didn't get any of the marketplace priced items (whole fish dishes etc) so those could be where this spot shines. They do have an extensive ceviche list; i tried the scallop ceviche which was mediocre honestly (recommend getting another one). I also got the torched oysters with the spicy butter, which was my favorite thing. Also got the taco sampler, and honestly the only good taco was the battered cod one (the other two were not great IMO). My friend got the surf and turf platter, which didn't really come with much surf (shrimp) or turf (steak) for the price. Overall l, it's okay but seemed to be more overhyped than anything

First, when we walked the hostess was cold and unfriendly so my expectations were low from that vibe. Then we met our waitress-- Mali, a breath of fresh air. She was the perfect server and you can just tell she loves her job and takes pride. She knew the menu well, explained it all nicely and all her suggestions were spot on. I was asking a lot of questions and she was patient and if she didn't know the answer she went to find the answer. Over all the our waitress made our experience extra special, thank you Mali. Now you the food-- y'all!!! The food was fantastic and so flavorful. Every dish was different and delicious, not one complaint. We ate: Eel tostada -- this was our favorite, I could of eaten 3 of these. It was so good and the flavors were each unique. Korean fried cobia collar- this was a lot of food! Another great dish; bone in fish fried to perfection with delicious sides Soft shell crab taco- fire!! I've never had a taco like this and we were blown away. Granizado dessert- I was emotional eating this because of how good it was this dessert has so much layers to it, every bite was a piece of heaven. I would of gotten another one if I wasn't so full. The N/A bloody Mary was excellent as well! This dining experience was really amazing and we can't wait to return.

Elevated Mexican seafood restaurant perfect for a date night or a cute experience with friends! We were immediately captivated by the bold and fun colors on the wall and the menu. They were a James Beard semi finalist in 2025 and named one of the best restaurants in Chicago, and the top best new restaurant of 2024. Ofc course I had to come try! For two ppl, we shared three dishes and had leftovers!! The coctel was a ceviche with shrimp, octopus, mussels, and avocado. I loved how fresh every ingredient tasted, the octopus was just the right amount of chew, and the shrimp were large and plump. Superrr refreshing dish served with two tostadas. We also got the tuna tostadas which comes with black garlic, salsa macha, and avocado! This is their most popular dish, but I found it a bit salty. Tasted a bit like chili oil with tuna, which is an interesting combo with the Asian flare. Finished with the mussels and fries - WOW!! What a GENEROUS portion!! Granted it was $32... but it came with a big bowl of shoestring fried and whole piece of french bread, and at least 30-40 mussels. The sauce was this creamy chipotle lime that was so drinkable and delish! Service is great, and the busser was sooooo adorable I wanted to give that guy a big hug!
