Absolutely delicious! My family and I were being driven around by our guides and they recommended this place for aguachiles. I'm more of a tostadas and oysters kind of person and they had some. The oysters tasted like they were living 30 minutes before I devoured them and they were HUGE. My pulpo tostada was very savory and the rest of my family said they enjoyed their food too. They have great service here and are pretty attentive. The atmosphere was nice, considering we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. If anyone's in Mazatlán visiting, I'd definitely tell you to come here if you're craving some fresh seafood. read more

So I was in Mazatlan and I was looking for a good seafood joint. I wanted a place that is frequented by the locals and not the tourists. I was recommended this place so we went. They have a lot of seafood options. I went with the cocktail with shrimp and sea snails. My wife went with a mango ceviche and a shrimp cocktail, son went with some shrimp tacos and woogie went with quesadillas. So one thing, it is hot and humid. This is an outdoor place. Prior to the food coming out, the waiter brought out an assortment of chips, crackers and tostada shells. The food came out pretty fast time to eat. One thing I noticed was you have to doctor up your cocktail to your likings. I guess that's why they have a bunch of condiments on the table. My Cocktail was good after doctoring it up. If I had one complaint, the sea snail was a wee bit too big. It needs to be cut smaller. The wife really enjoyed her ceviche. The plate was so big that my wife never got to her cocktail. I told her not to order the cocktail. The kids really enjoyed their food. Would I come back, most definitely. I really enjoyed this place. One thing to know, I don't think this place is within walking distance of the port. I believe you need a cab to get here. Well worth it though. read more

Incredibly fresh, could tell it was busy with locals, easy street parking! We tried two different ceviches, quesadillas, fresh fish, and shrimp rellenos. Everything was AMAZING and it was surprisingly affordable - menu and other photos were Pesos so USD it was low priced. Great service and very comfortable interior with A/C or patio with fans. I'll definitely be going back here and I should have taken photos of our meals. Next time! Visit this restaurant without hesitation. Get the shrimp and mango ceviche with a Pacifico Light and add a little of their house habanero salsa. read more

One of the best local places I have been to in the past 10 years in Mazatlan. Wildly popular with the locals (menus are in Spanish only and waiters do not speak English) so make sure you bring your Google translate but do NOT let that steer you away..just the opposite. A lot of photos of the food dishes are on the wall. There is live music but unlike other places, they play outside and in front so it's not blasting your ears as you eat. Service is quick and fast but they are very patient. Just say "Cinco Minutos" and you will have 5 minutes to look at the menu. The menu is broken down into clear sections for beef, pork, fish, specials, and grilled. I noticed they had some very interesting dishes including Oysters Rockafeller which I love but rarely order it. Well let me tell you this was some of the best Oyster Rockafeller I have had. HUGE 3 inch wide oysters with cheese and very thin crispy bacon pieces and spinach along with their white sauce made these fantastic. TIP: Eat then first as they will get cold quick. Next I ordered my all time favorite dish, the Pulpo (octopus). Cooked in garlic and butter this dish is a 5/5 and then some. Generous portions of octopus cover the plate. Accompanied with some flour tortillas, I could eat two of these dishes! Do not miss this dish! Next up was a tuna tostada and let me tell you, this was great tuna from the belly (not that red died tuna they feed you in the states. Marinated in lime juice, every piece was as tender as the next and melted in your mouth. Almost forgot the Guacamole. Anyone who has been to Mexico and orders Guacamole knows the avacados in Mexico are much different than in the U.S. If you like rich and creamy Guacamole then you are going to love it here. Smooth as butter and seasoned slightly it's a must to accompany your meal. If you love shrimp then you must order the shrimp tacos that come 4 to an order. These were by far the #1 shrimp taco I have had in Mazatlan so far. Huge prawns (really they are that big, not the small shrimp) bursting out of the taco, and with great color and flavor we devoured these tacos in no time. We had a few Margaritas which I wasn't crazy about as they were super sweet, too sweet but everyone makes the margarita differently so it's a crap shoot when ordering one anywhere. I always go for the Cadillac Margarita if they have it. After you leave if you do not speak any Spanish, you simply can walk two blocks west to the Malecon where to s of Pulmonia's drive by. One will stop for you without a doubt. For great local flare in Mazatlan and a massive menu that has probably anything you could think of, this is my new favorite spot in Mazatlan when it comes to a place where the locals bring their families. 5 stars! read more

Great ceviche!!! This was our best part of our recent trip to Mazatlan. The fish was so fresh and barely "cooked" with the citrus. They also weren't afraid to heat it up with their hot salsa on the side and peppers in the dish. Make sure to get the Ceviche El Torito (mixed seafood ceviche). I'm not sure why we don't have this level of freshness and quality in the US, but if you are ever in Mazatlan or in Cabo (there is a location their too) you have to stop in. read more

The fish here is amazing! Coming from a cruise ship (no, we're not usually cruise-type people, but we were on a cruise), it was a bit of an adventure getting here. We walked all along the blue line since we wanted to see a bit of the city. Long after the blue line was over, we had walked through the heat, and the place was still over a mile away, we flagged down a pulmonia (their open-air taxis) and got there in no time. The place is pretty big and, as we had arrived for an early lunch (maybe around noon), it was pretty dead. Good for us! My Spanish is not good; besides that, I hadn't really brushed up, as this was not a planned vacation into a Spanish-speaking nation. The entire menu is in Spanish (as it should be; I try to avoid places that translate too much) and only one person in the whole place spoke English! Our lovely, fairly old, server Javier saved the day. He claimed to not really speak English, but his English was better than my Spanish, so we were a match made in heaven! This place is all about the ceviche, so if you go there, don't waste time trying to get too much that's cooked. Jim G. and I had done a little research ahead of time, so I had a few ideas about what I wanted to order, but Javier helped us a lot. He certainly helped us to not order too much! We ordered the mixed ceviche; I think it's called the Ceviche El Torito. There were shrimp, octopus, abalone, and some sort of generic whitefish. The fish was incredibly fresh and oh so good! On the table are a variety of hot sauces and hot salsas (and they are seriously hot and tasty!), mayonnaise (I thought it was weird), salt, along with some packages of tostadas. We also ordered the Aguachile Camerones; Shrimp with Chile Water (some things don't translate). Super fresh shrimp, butterflied, freshly tossed with lime juice, chile, red onion, and cucumber. The shrimp were pretty much sashimi as they arrived at the table. The ceviche was great, but the aguachile blew me away! We had been told that this was one of the best seafood places in the city, and I think we heard correct! About halfway through our lunch, the place was pretty packed! And, good news, friends, we were the only white people there! Authenticity at its best! Javier was great, the food was outstanding, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. This was one of the highlights of the cruise! One thing to consider, while they will accept American Dollars, the exchange rate they'll give you is way worse than you'd get if you actually exchanged your money for pesos. Javier was super up front about this; he said that if we walked like two blocks away, we could exchange our money and end up paying less. Our bill should've been $38.00 (crazy cheap, considering we had lots of beer!), but it ended up being in the mid 50s, because of the restaurants 'exchange charge.' Such a disappointment! Caguama of beer with warm mugs- not room temp but straight out of dishwasher. He replaced them with room temp mugs. Appetizer came after our entrees, tried to cancel it but they brought it anyway. Unacceptable service, we live a few blocks away and definitely will not recommend or be back! read more

The taxi driver that picked us from the airport recommended this place. It was honestly some of the best ceviche I've ever had! So fresh and their food portions are large. Going on the Yelp reviews, we went off the main strip to check this place out. What a great find! The menu is all in Spanish (it is Mexico, of course) but our server was so helpful. We got the four taco plate with half shrimp and half marlin. That in itself was a lot of food... The tacos were stuffed full of deliciousness. We also ordered guacamole, which was good, and house ceviche, which had octopus, abalone, shrimp, and white fish. It was really good. There was also a mariachi band walking around, which completed the full Mexican experience. We will definitely be back next time we are in Mazatlan. read more

It's the go to place around here. Most taxi drivers recommend it (they get paid for it) and ads all over the place. But it's worth it. Service is good and food is even better. I had the ceviche de camaron and it was pretty tasty. We got there during a busy hour and it took a little bit for us to sit but as we waited every waiter asked if we had been helped, which I appreciated. It's outdoors so the heat and humidity can get pretty intense but when in Mazatlan, it's expected. They also celebrate birthdays. They give you a shot, shake your head and sing to you while making all kinds of noise by hitting plates together. read more
