    Grilled fish

Still outstanding, get the oysters el cuchupetas style and the fish. A little wait but well worth it.

The best sea food I've tested in my life that I can remember. Everything is super fresh and delicious. The scallops are so darn fresh its unbelievable how good they taste. Over in the states no way you get food that fresh... The cuchepeta shrimp where to die for. They are grilled to perfection, put melted cheese on the inside with a special home made sauce. I recommend his place 10000%%% Los mejores mariscos en Mazatlan que eh probado. El callo deacha esta super fresco y delicioso y los camarones cuchupeta ni se dija. 100% recommendado, Para todos los buchones que quieren quedar bien con las morritas este lugar esta ah toda madre.

    Yup, another really good meal!

Since the 80s this has been my go to Mariscos spot. About 40 minutes from Mazatlan but we'll worth it. El mejor zarandeado de tu vida.

Great Food, definitely a must when in the area. Ceviche and Agua Chile's were our favorite. But everything we ordered was also great.

This is a very spacious waterfront restaurant with a lot of tables and wonderful view. The place is clean and pleasant. Restrooms are also very clean. The four of us shared a Zarandeado Fish KG (Fish of the Day) which was a whole Red Snapper and a Grilled Seafood 700G which included Grilled and Breaded Fish Fillet, Stuffed, Coconut, and Breaded Shrimp, Diablo Sauce Shrimps, Governor Tacos, and Empanadas. Food was amazing and plentiful. We were each given a plate of salad with a scoop of rice. That was plenty of good, fresh seafood. Two of us ordered drinks, a Pina Colada and a Mojito Tradicional. Servers speak good English and are friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable for American standard. All the food and drinks with gratuities came to about US$85. All four of us were very full and satisfied.

The restaurant is located right on the water. The service is semi friendly and no effort to speak English was made which is 100% understandable. Thankfully we had a few people in our group who spoke Spanish. Everything we ordered was fantastic the shrimp and steak molcajete was served with fresh corn tortillas. The shrimp were enormous and the steak was really tender. The seafood ceviche tasted real fresh excellent lime and chili flavor. The fish and shrimp tacos were excellent as well. When paying try to always pay in the local currency if possible. If paying in dollars will not always get the best exchange rate.

The gold standard of what I loved about restaurants when we visit. Last night I was shocked and disappointed. It's changed...and not for the better. Still the best is the head waiter. Was grateful for him. Kind, inviting, knowledgeable, professional. He is the one waiter in my world travels who I love the most. Now the bad news. I noticed the seating had changed and become uncomfortable, ugly, gross. I remember being amazed by the antique tables and large comfortable locations in the garden. They are all metal now. My wife needed a seat changed out because the first seat was hurting her. The salsa was still delicious. The beer cold. We all enjoyed our drinks. The salad I ordered came, with dust or dirt in it. I was the only one who ordered a salad. The meal came in a reasonable time. My wife had fish. It was good. My aunt had Carne Asada, she said it was good. We ordered 3 beef Filets anticipating succulent delight. We 3 gentleman couldn't have been more saddened by the meal. Overcooked to zero pink after ordering medium rare. We could have sent it back but,..the filet was so tuff and stringy my father in law choked on his, I couldn't cut mine, and my other uncle just stared at it in disbelief. There was no recovering from this 440 peso disaster. Topolo. Take this off your menu or buy beef that hasn't worked a field the past 10 years. I have zero desire to return as my time in Mazatlan is short and I focus on telling others about and spending money at restaurants I truly want to return to, Your wait staff was good to us. But I will not be paying 900 pesos to be driven to you again. I will remember you as you were, not what I experienced last night.

Being in one of Mexico's most famous coastal cities, seafood seemed like the obvious choice, so we decided to have lunch at El Muchacho Alegre, a restaurant right on the waterfront. I have to admit, my first impression was excellent. The location is hard to beat. Sitting outdoors with the ocean directly in front of us, watching the waves roll in while enjoying the sea breeze, it felt exactly like the kind of coastal Mexico experience you imagine before arriving. The view alone almost made me think that even if the food turned out to be average, the setting would make the visit worthwhile. We ordered the grilled seafood platter and a seafood margarita, both of which sounded promising on the menu. After all, when you're dining in a city known for its seafood, expectations naturally rise. The seafood platter looked impressive when it arrived. The plate was loaded with a variety of seafood and certainly made a great first impression. Unfortunately, the actual flavors didn't quite match the presentation. Several items seemed overcooked, leaving the seafood a little dry, and the seasoning was fairly ordinary. More disappointing was that a few of the seafood items carried a noticeable fishy taste. That was probably the most frustrating part of the meal. The ingredients themselves appeared to have potential, but the preparation never allowed their natural sweetness and freshness to shine through. Sitting beside the ocean, you almost expect that one bite that reminds you why fresh coastal seafood can be so special. That moment never really arrived. The seafood margarita followed a similar pattern. It looked colorful and appealing when it was served, but the flavors felt surprisingly flat. The different seafood components never came together in a particularly memorable way, and in some bites the fishiness was even more noticeable. As the meal went on, I found myself spending more time looking at the ocean than thinking about the food. Around us, people were enjoying drinks, taking photos, and relaxing with friends and family. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable, and I began to understand why the restaurant is so popular. Many visitors probably come here for the setting, the views, and the overall experience rather than for exceptional seafood. Viewed as a beachfront restaurant where you can relax, enjoy the scenery, and spend a pleasant afternoon, it succeeds. Viewed as a destination for memorable seafood in Mazatlán, it felt much more average. When I left, the strongest memories I took with me were the ocean views, the sea breeze, and the relaxing afternoon by the water--not the seafood on the table.

Staff was friendly and very willing to make do with some one-semester high-school level Spanish we…read morehad in our group, and there were plenty of tables at this amazing by-the-beach spot. There aren't any walls or windows to get in your way: views were really great (though I couldn't decide whether to wear sunglasses for the views, or take them off to see indoors). The food was good. The tostadas were crispy, and the tacos were superb. The marlin came as a recommendation from a local friend, and was probably the best thing we tried. We got a molcajete, which was visually appealing and the oysters were my wife's favorites. I got a cocohorchata, which was both larger (in size) than I expected and rounded the meal off well. My biggest downside is the live band went around playing at various tables (they ask if you want them to play), and it's really loud. Combined with the music in the restaurant over the loudspeakers and it's a noisy restaurant.
