Found this great gem on an unassuming corner. Open, airy space with great customer service. I had a breakfast platter. The tater tots were substantial and crispy (the best I've had). The sandwich sized english muffin was amazing. The pork roll was delicious. My boyfriend had the Cuban sandwich - huge portion, and very tasty. This place is just the cutest, chillest morning vibes you could ever want on your beach vacation! I was thrilled that this place was walking distance from our bungalow rental, and took a quiet morning walk to order for my hubby and son. This is a great place to bring your family (babies and toddlers too!) and friends to sit and chill before beginning your day at the beach. Their menu has a lot of specialty items, and some even have a Spanish flare to them, which I think is so flavorful and fun to spice up your breakfast! I ordered our food to go, but decided on the breakfast platter for my son, a bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese or hubby, and I got the bueno burrito. As I waited, I was pretty amazed as to how much food they were cranking out of their little kitchen! I saw the multiple called in orders they were working on, and realized that calling in was probably better than walking in, but now I knew better. The staff was super friendly and bubbly, and the girl behind the counter was patient as I was totally spastic looking for the milk for my coffee. Why I would come back here with my 2.5 year old son: - they have a stash of crayons and other activities to keep your children entertained while eating; this is appreciated - they make their cookies on site and they are SINFUL; one is not enough - fair warning - the tables are spaced enough that if your child is a wanderer like mine, they have enough room to be curious without getting into too much trouble - the vibe is very welcoming and homey - if he decided to have a full blown tantrum, they sell coffee to go, so I could at least make a decent cup back at the rental This place is a GEM! read more

Must Eat here.. I eat here all the time. Food is very fresh, fast, nice portions, friendly employees. This place is not a tourist trap, they are open all year long. Parking lot straight off the Causeway. Best Tater Tots hands down. And great for kids. read more

What a fantastic breakfast, that was also reasonably priced! This was our first time at Maristella's, but we will definitely be back. I loved my bacon egg and cheese on the Nicky roll. This is the place. Look no further; a half block from Drifting Sands. Breakfast, Lunch, Egg Sandwich, or Hamburger, there's no bad choice. The staff is cool and helpful. The coffee is good. I came here for brunch and I walked in and did not expect too much. From what I was looking at the place was clean, looked nice, overall solid. I noticed another thing here, the service was incredible. And the food just as good. Words can't describe how good it was. I got a sub and some tater tots. The subs were large and they're were a lot of tots in the plate. When we were served, I took one bite of the sub and knew it was the best one I've ever eaten, same for the tots. A little cute spot at the start of 9th street on LBI. As we all live with the new norm of being lock in our houses. I decided to visit LBI for a short week and have someone else cook for me. I had the avocado toastado with tater tots and my sister had a traditional egg sandwich. The staff was so nice and pleasant. It's nice to support small businesses during these crazy time. This place is GREAT! Do not judge it by outside appearance!!! We drive to nicer "looking" places and decided to try this because it's right near our hotel. So glad we did!!! The chicken salad was so good that we decided to grab a bagged lunch for the road on our way out of town. Way better food than the other "trendier" places. read more

Love this little luncheonette! Perfect spot coming onto the island and grabbing a few sandwiches to bring to the beach. It is a super friendly family atmosphere with plenty of seating if you want to chill and eat in as well. The Maristella style fries is a must!! I had the Swine-Not breakfast sandwich and it was superb. The rest of the family had the Roast Beef, Tuna salad, and the Roast Pork hoagies. I would like to say one thing: MARISTELLA'S!!! We were down last week and tried Maristella's for the first time, and we were so bummed we didn't try it sooner. We went there for breakfast and were so pleased!! The BEST Taylor Ham/Pork Roll, egg and cheese on a wonderful bun...it was huge! Fresh and perfect. The French Toast is wonderful and everything else we tried was great. We wound up going there every morning that week. Ken and Carolina are so, so friendly and nice, and so is the staff. The menu has everything you want for breakfast and lunch. It is spotless, priced very nicely and the attention to detail on the food is spot on. It is not a tourist trap, but rather a place for locals. We were so lucky to have tried it. Do yourself a favor and stop in, don't pass it by!!
