I spoke to Teresa regarding breast pumps and additional supplies on my insurance. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! I was looking for standard replacement parts for my old Spectra 2 from my previous pregnancy. She was able to recommend new, alternative hands-free cups instead of the usual pump parts. My insurance states that breast pumps are 100% covered, with no specifications on which pumps or price max. But every company I've looked into charges an additional out of pocket for a premium pump. I've spoken to other big brand DMEs and my own insurance company regarding why there's an additional out of pocket cost, and only Teresa was able to provide me an actual explanation: contract pricing. I first used Mark Drug in 2013, to get a breast pump through my insurance (Medicaid at the time). I used them again in 2014, to get another breast pump, this time using my private employer insurance from my new job. I've had the same employer ever since, and I'm 32 weeks pregnant today, so I called them yesterday about a breast pump. They (and Teresa especially) were *lovely.* They still had all of my information from 2014 and were happy to update it for me. Teresa promptly sent me a ton of great information about available pumps, comparisons, and how to take full advantage of my insurance benefits. I now have a Spectra S2 Plus, a Lansinoh Breastmilk Collector, and one year of Medela Symphony Rental on their way to me---all paid for by my insurance. I would imagine that many people calling or going into a medical supply store for equipment or to rent say, a hospital bed, probably have quite a bit going on and may not have ever been in this situation before. That being said, the need to call and ask questions seems like a reasonable thing that happens, but the guy who answered my call was so rude when I asked for clarification on payment options that all I could do was thank him, end the call, and immediately search for a different place. It's nice to know that there is a store like this around. My Mom had surgery and we needed to pickup a few things, specifically Tegaderm (tape that goes over surgical wounds) in large sizes, that can't be found elsewhere. Well, we were super stoked that they had them! And then we saw the prices! They were like $5 - $7 a PIECE. For essentially one large band-aid ,,,, $5-7. That was insane. But what are you gong to do when you can't get it anywhere else? So we bought it. The girl that helped me was friendly enough. There was someone available basically as soon as I needed help. While I was in here, I noticed they have EVERYthing you could ever possibly need. I added a bunch of photos, that hopefully help. They have everything from big to small!! From tiny band-aids and tape, to beds and toilets and walkers. There's so much stuff! I will definitely be back. I have a surgery coming up in a few months - so I'm comforted to know that a place like this exists. I would definitely recommend this store for all things medical supply. read more

My insurance covers breast pump supplies and I called around to several places and no one had the supplies for my Spectra S2 except for Mark Drug Medical. I spoke with Teresa and ordered my supply replacement kits and received them the next day! Teresa also informed me of other supplies they had that my insurance covers. A friend and I accompanied our friend with cerebral palsy to Mark Durg in September of 2021. She is in her 70s, and had lost her ability to get in and out of a bed. She is also not emotionally stable, which is understandable. The salesman who helped us was helpful at first, and showed her how, with the help of a fully electric bed, she could rise from a lying down position and get out of the bed. When she objected to the price, he told her, "Fine---go someplace else." I told our salesman that he was not helping her, or us---her two helpers---when he spoke so disrespectfully. The bed was finally ordered, with a delivery day of Friday. Friday morning, I received a call saying the bed couldn't be delivered on Friday, and it would be Saturday morning, around 9 am. At 9 am, I hadn't received a call. I called them. The delivery driver asked if I'd like a Monday delivery. I said NO--they'd told me Sat. am. He said he didn't work on Fridays, and had no note about the Sat. delivery. Two huge delivery flags there, as well as a poor review of the sales department. Let's work with people who have emotional disabilities. They often accompany the physical ones. read more

The sales rep Mike was amazing. He helped my mom get a new boot after the one she had following ankle replacement caused a pressure sore. He fixed her knee walker as he could see the hospital had it for the wrong foot. He also made it where we could actually lock it again. He was wonderful and helpful. read more

Most people are not aware of the fact that nearly all health insurance plans now provide coverage for a breast pump. It can be even more confusing to find a place that will process this for you in-network. We came here twice, and each time Teresa was very helpful and transparent with regards to which pumps were covered by our insurance (BCBS, so YMMV), what our cost would be, reviews of each pump, etc. Everything was done through email, and she was very responsive. I actually found the "gentleman" that answered the phone on 9/16 at 3pm to be quite rude. We have a prescription at Mark Drugs in Roselle but my husband is working in Wheeling and this location would have been great for pick up. I asked him if we could transfer our prescription to them and he advised that they were not connected, but they used to be. Ok. Then I asked why we can't transfer it and he said that would be like asking Walgreens to transfer to Walmart. Ummmm, ok? That happens all the time. What's the issue? I thanked him for being so "polite" and disconnected. We'll just stick with the location in Roselle. There is a reason our doctor chose that location being all the way out in Romeoville &a Morris. Obviously their customer service is supreme compared to this location. Roselle will even ship to me for a small charge. That's the type of service I'm looking for. I called this location bc my insurance suggested them as a supplier for a breast pump. During my conversation with 2 reps I received conflicting information and then they wanted to upcharge me. After speaking at length with my insurance, I was assured they cover the pump in full, but the office still complained that their cost is too high so they charge for it. She had incredible patience and was extremely knowledgeable about all of the products that would work best for me.
