Avoid at any cost! I have varicose veins and I started ordering my compression stocking from Absolute Medical because my doctor's office sells them at a higher price. My doctors office recommends Juzo but after a few pairs of Juzo I realized that the quality is not very good for the price so I decided to try a few different brands from this store until I figure out which brand I want to use. The last pair of Juzo I ordered lasted for less than two months. I went to their store and a man named John took my measurements, he told me that the compression stockings are not made for young people with active lifestyle who workout seven days a week at the gym like me, but they are more intended for elderly people who sit all day on the couch and watch TV. He said that for an active person like me I will need to order 4-6 pairs of compression stockings every six months. This sounded like a joke to me considering the price they are sold at. John showed me a pair of Jobst and Sigvaris and I decided to try one of each brand to see how they feel compared to Juzo. John sent me a complementary pair of Jobst as an apology that the last Juzo got ripped off after less than two months and I paid for a pair of Sigvaris out of my pocket. I spent a few months of wearing the pair of Jobs and they definitely felt a lot more loose than the Juzo. I would put them on with pretty much no efforts and this is not normal for the highest level of compression like 30-40. On March 27, 2024 I had my endovenous ablation. After the treatment when I was allowed to take off the bandages and shower I opened the brand new pair of Sigvaris as I was planning to put them on after the endovenous ablation. I put them next to the pair of Jobst to compare the fabrics and I was super shocked to see that the Jobst was significantly longer than the Sigvaris. I sent a photo of both pairs to Absolute Medical to ask about the difference in their length. They apologized for the mistake and admitted that they have sent me long stockings instead of short. This was very shocking to me because John had personally taken my size the day before he sent me the pair of Jobs so what kind of ignorant and incompetent individual is he if he personally took my measurements and still sent me the wrong size? At this point I threw away the pair of Jobs, I packed the pair of Sigvaris, and I returned it for a full refund. Those people don't sell regular garments that you can buy from Target. They sell medical supplies to people with chronic diseases, people recovering from surgeries and injuries and they can't even get you the correct size! That means that for a few months prior to my endovenous ablation I have been wearing the wrong size of stockings and I have not been receiving an adequate compression for my veins. This is very serious matter because they put my health at a serious risk that could've resulted in developing more varicose veins or having complications like a deep vein thrombosis which is life threatening. Hadn't I seen the difference after my endovenous ablation I was going to wear stockings with inadequate compression and I could've gotten a deadly complications or at least an unsuccessful treatment... treatment that I paid over $4,000 for without insurance. Just do yourself a favor and RUN... RUN AND DON'T COME BACK! Better get your stockings at a higher price from your doctor than buying from Absolute Medical. read more

This is a scam. They lured me in saying the compression garments would be covered 100% by my insurance. They also scared me into buying more than I needed. A year later I start getting bills since my insurance didn't cover any of it. I emailed and called and they have not responded in any way. Do not trust them! read more

I had dealt with swelling in my legs for over 10 years and then my doctor mentioned lymphedema and referred me to a lymphedema therapist. I did a few weeks of led wraps and purchased velcro leg wraps. That worked for me a few months and then I purchased custom leg compression socks. Yes the cost was a little bit because medicare will not pay for them but cost does not really matter if it works and solves the problem your having. Absolute Medical has completely solved the lymphedema problem I had. I get up ever morning and put on the socks and I can wear them all day and evening and keep the swelling in my leg under control. If you are a Medicare patient and questioning the benefit vs the cost of custom compression stocks do not hesitate purchase them. You will not be disappointed. If you are not on Medicare, check with your insurance company on what they will cover, your cost though an insurance company may not be a problem compared to dealing with Medicare. I also recommend you have the sales person show you how to put them on. This helps to keep the sock in good shape and it does really help with putting them on. I'm continuing to work with Absolute Medical for some additional medical equipment needs and they have been there for me and answered all my questions. They have given me the equipment to work with and control my lymphedema and I have solved one of my medical problems. You will not regret working with Absolute Medical! read more

Very unprofessional with no regard to the customer. Had an appointment for a fitting and Elice went to the wrong location. contacted Brandon and i told him to have her call me so I would be able to direct her to my location. When she arrived, she had an attitude and I told her if we were going to have a problem, she could leave, she did. Contacted Brandon and he could have cared less. I was not fitted for my sleeve and glove. Will inform my doctor of my experience with this company. read more

I've been working with Absolute Medical for years. Initially with John Holland and now with Rylee Fishel. My lymphedema is now under control. A year ago I had a large change in the size of my arm because it was abused by the nursing staff at Carle Hospital when I was hospitalized. I was able to have several sleeves made in order to control the size. My arm is now nearly back to its original size. The Absolute Medical staff is always helpful, compassion, and caring. It is relatively easy to get an appointment. They have many materials and fabrics that are used to control the size of my arm. I'm looking forward to working with Absolute Medical for yeas to come. read more

Absolute Medical has been WONDERFUL to work with for compression garments for me & one of my kiddos for lymphedema, POTS, hEDS, etc. Their reps have all been VERY helpful & kind. They bill our insurance & mail our compression garments. EASY! If you have lymphedema this is the place to come. You'd never know it from their website but my therapist at Illinois Masonic hospital recommended them. They are amazing. John Holland went above and beyond to measure my legs (I have primary lymphedema) and really worked to try and get my insurance to work with me, especially if you have to work through a DME supplier. John came to the hospital (even though I'm outpatient) to measure me before one of my weekly treatments at RIC within Illinois Masonic Hospital. I can't say enough good things. I had to even get a pump for my leg and he was honest enough to recommend a competitor's brand over his for type I have. This is one of the few honest businesses out there. read more
