I first called in JULY for a wheelchair repair and have called at least 4 times since then. I've been given all the following excuses for no response from the repair team: "the first customer service rep entered it incorrectly, " they have the wrong name listed" "they sent the request to the wrong doctor, " "there's been a problem with the repair group and they're behind." (Heard this one in July and September.) It's now the middle of SEPTEMBER and no one has contacted me to do a small repair on my father's wheelchair. Very disappointing! read more

My daughter power wheelchair is only 1 year old and has had numerous amounts of repairs. From her headrest fall off to motor repairs, armrests repairs, only to have the company take more than 2 months to complete a service call. read more

if I could rate this experience less than one I would. My mother received a loaner chair which is not appropriate for her body type. I have called multiple times I spoke with Stacy who is very condescending. She kept repeating that at least my mom received a loaner while I understand, she's lucky to get a loaner, It doesn't work for her. We have been waiting on parts for nearly 30 days. Without a proper chair my mom's ability to leave her assisted living to go out for the day has been impacted. While my initial experience ( see my 1-star review below) was extremely frustrating, Julie looked into the problem and got someone out to look at the wheelchair within the week. A new part had to ordered and was delivered within 2 weeks just as the repairman had said it would. During both visits he was extremely polite and helpful. read more

If I am handed a Customer Service & Service Department card with a phone number or email address, I expect to be able to contact someone if I need service. This has not been the case with a wheelchair I purchased for my daughter. Only have had it for 2 1/2 months, and one of the brakes isn't working. Have tried to contact Patients Choice and left a message, and so far have been unsuccessful. Very frustrating. read more

my mom's power wheelchair has been out of service for 3 weeks. I received a call finally on Thursday saying someone would be out on Friday to service her chair, no one came. I would definitely recommend Patients Choice. Everyone has been extremely professional, prompt and kind. I've worked with Kasia, Paul and Larry as well as the phone customer service people and all interactions have been positive. One of the ladies who answers the phone after hours was noticeably excited for me when I got my wheelchair approval and told me how happy she was for me. The power wheelchair and hospital bed were both put together incorrectly. We have been waiting since February for repairs/adjustments to the wheelchair- for a very ill patient, this is unacceptable. While I understand Covid has delayed many things, I cannot even get anyone at the company to call me back. Messages are ignored and I've been promised many return calls. They did however have the time to send an unexpected bill. They definitely aren't in the business of helping people. My experience with you has been wonderful. I am so grateful to Kasia Puchalski my representative, Maritza from the business office, Johnny, Jerry,and Maria from customer service. Kasia has been meticulous in her handling of my wheelchair needs. Working so closely with me and my doctors from Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Blue Cross, Kasia was able to navigate us through a process that can oftentimes be grueling, in an expedient manner. Kasia then worked closely with Johnny to assess exactly what type chair would best suit my needs, from features to material for the seat to the color. All of time that Kasia spent with me was done to make sure that my wheelchair not only met all of physical requirements, comfortability needs, and she even helped me to pick a color that would be cool from a woman's perspective, I may be handicap but I still wanna look hip. Patients Choice was recommended at a time when I needed them most and they truly lived up those recommendations. Patients Choice saved me at a time when a company named Mobility Solutions negligently handled my wheelchair needs and left me for over a year in pain and extreme anxiety. What Mobility Solutions did to me, left me so damaged, broken, and frustrated after having already endured the pain of multiple amputations and a phenomenal number of surgeries that left me as a bilateral amputee. The severity of my depression was so horrible that besides seeing my psychologist and psychiatrist, I required Valium to help my anxiety, and moths of actively attending suicide groups at Northwestern because I felt defeated. I am so thankful that Patients Choice and Kasia were able to help p pick up all the pieces and make sure that I felt whole again. I may see my therapist for many years to deal with the loss of my legs but the fear of where I will sit comfortably and be able move safely in a power wheelchair has been taken care of by Patients Choice. I am so fortunate to have Patients Choice and Kasia working with me. I feel safe, protected, and more than anything I feel cared for like part of a family. I would give them zero stars. DO NOT DEAL with this company PERIOD. The have no compassion or business integrity!!! I plan to report their poor service to Medicare. We have been without a wheelchair for a MS patient that cannot walk or transfer for over two weeks. They do not return phone calls no matter what you do. They came to repair the chair and it was drivable but needed some minor adjustments. They blew up the electrical components and left the chair inoperable and no estimated time to order the required replacement parts. When you call for a status you get voicemail and they do not promptly return phone calls. This is the first time I have written a complaint about a company but this one is so bad I need to do the responsible thing to ensure no other handicapped person ever has to deal with Patients Choice!!! read more

This business does not know the meaning of Customer Service. They seem to exist solely to deter business. The women in the office are rude, have sharp tongues and speak in a nasty cold tone. I was looking to buy a power chair/scooter and instead of jumping for a sale, the 'salesman' preferred to only deal by text message rather than phone and then couldn't reply in less than a week's time. It was so unbelievable no one would believe you.He was always sick or in the hospital. And while my part time work schedule offered some strains, salesmen will usually jump to accommodate. I an 72 yrs old and was prescribed a CPAP which Patient's Choice provided me via Medicare. The technician dropped off the machine, spent a few minutes showing us how to run it and promptly left. The mask they provided didn't fit well and after several attempts , I finally settled on the nasal canula. Their service is average. My biggest problem is their billing. I have been duplicate billed once. They also haven't billed me for supplies I've received. When we go to pick up new ones, they say you owe us $ xxx. I'd be happy to pay, just bill me. Since they refused to take it back, and no other vendor would deal with it, I had to have the junkman come get it. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The sales representatives are rude, non informative and condescending. You will wait weeks upon weeks for a returned phone call. And when you try to speak to upper management, they will disregard your messages and phone calls even more. We invested 6 months (after we were told the whole process 8-12 weeks) obtaining proper paper work for Medicare for a custom manual wheelchair. We were told that the patient was eligible for this chair and approval would be no issue. That was so far from the truth! 6 months invested, meanwhile the patient without a chair sitting in an uncomfortable, transport chair and at increased risk for pressure ulcers as they are wheelchair bound, we are told "Sorry, we can't get you the chair because our profit is too small!". After they wasted our time, they offered no solutions except to call another company. We were willing to pay cash for many upgrades! Now I'm forced to start the process all over with a young lady with disabilities who is suffering. I will definitely be contacting the ADA! Don't use for them for anything! read more
