Came here for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I had an initial exam and cleaning done, as well as…read morefixing a chipped tooth. The cleaning and dental work was satisfactory but the customer service is enough to turn me off from ever returning. As someone else mentioned, when they came to give me quotes for the proposed treatment plan Sandra would randomly decide the price could be lower for certain things and just crossed off the original price with her new quote. Lower price would be fantastic except in the end I was charged the original higher price. That was my first red flag. I was told I needed a night guard during the first visit so they scanned my mouth for the mold. The dentist tells me they can just add a note saying the chipped tooth was fixed so the lab could account for that. As I'm checking out Sandra (who apparently works in the front and the back?) asks me to come back so she can scan the chipped tooth now that it's fixed. Fine, I go back. I sit there for 20 minutes while she tries to make the machine work, gives up and tells me they will just add the note like they said originally. Next day, I get a call saying they DO need to scan my mouth again so I go back for a second time. I went in today to pick it up (3rd visit). There is no night guard - they ordered a stay plate instead (which I don't need). Sandra comes out telling me they will rush order it and I can pick it up soon, no offer to send it to my house, no credit for my troubles nothing. I'm so annoyed I tell them to cancel the whole thing and refund me because I refuse to drive out FOUR times for a night guard. Five minutes after I leave I get a call from Sandra saying she realized it would be "too much of a hassle" to reimburse the insurance and myself so she can just ship it to me because that'll be easier for HER. I refused and will now be on the lookout for my refund which I'm sure will be a whole ordeal as well.

They do offer a new patient package for $55, I think for evaluation and other services. Seems like a good value. Well, thanks to the angels at Capistrano Dental Group, not only was the damage repaired before anyone else found out, but they also repaired and clean them so painlessly that, to this very day, my family still have no idea why I abruptly missed a family dinner last week, and with all he damage gone and the spots almost fully healed, they'll never find out! 10 out of 10. Dr. Parham Arkhavan and his staff did an amazing job!  Two…read moreof my upper teeth had been painful for five years but because I'm terrified to go to the dentist, I bore with the pain until it got infected. I was afraid to go through the dental x-ray because of the pain and discomfort. Moreover, I was afraid to have a root canal because that is new to me. So I decided to just have my teeth removed. But Dr. Arkhavan's calm yet confident and sincere demeanor removed my fear. Before he could discuss with me the two options to choose, I was already convinced to go for the dental treatment that Dr. Arkhavan would prefer based on his expertise. Dr. Arkhavan understands the patients and he allows them to freely choose the treatment they would prefer. From my own experience, Dr. Arkhavan is indeed very skilled, calm and thorough. His actions proves he knows what he's doing and he does it very well! In addition, Dr. Arkhavan rubbed a generous amount of numbing gel on my gums and waited for about for 10 minutes before he injected anesthesia so that I barely noticed the needle on my gums. He also focused on what I came there for so that I don't have to wait for the next visit. Right away he treated my infected teeth and prescribed antibiotics and pain relievers. I was very moved and thankful. Dr. Arkhavan's staff were very friendly and welcoming! They made me feel at home. They were kind, caring and approachable. I could speak and reason with them comfortably. They made it easy for me to communicate with them. They were gentle and listened with compassion and that really calmed me. It means a lot.  Popup Smiles' dental office in San Juan Capistrano has a clean, elegant and calming environment. I like how it is a dental office but it has a fresh aroma that gives a feeling of comfort and relaxation. It's like a perfect way to ease one's mind. I felt so blessed to have found them.
