After a bike accident that I lost 1.5 teeth, I came to see Dr. Soller. He took the time to examine me and give me my long term options. I still needed to have a tooth extracted and get a dental implant, but after his consultation decided to get the front four worked on as I had wanted to do this for years. Dr. Soller communicated with my Oral Surgeon regularly and made the year long process (for healing from bike accident, tooth extraction, then dental implant before Dr. Soller's great work) a success. Michelle was in charge of scheduling my appointments and always was very considerate of my commitments. When it came time to do the "overhaul" of my front four, Dr. Soller came in on his day off to work on me. This is the worst dentist I have ever been to. He supposedly replaced a front tooth cap that had come loose. But the replacement crown came off a few days after and I had to have it redone by another dentist. So, I had to pay the full price for the second replacement because Dr. Soller charged my dental insurance and they would not pay for the same procedure twice! Dr. Soller refused to refund any of the money paid by me or my dental insurance. Dr. Soller is such an amazing dentist. I was so happy to find him via a co-worker after my long-term dentist retired. He is very gentle and kind. He has been available both time I had a tooth emergency. When I came down with a tooth infection on my way to a trip to Hawaii he responded quickly to his emergency line and ordered an antibiotic at a pharmacy where I was headed. This week he saw me the same day after I broke a tooth. He even calls to see how I am doing after a procedure. If you are dentist-phobic I think you will find him very calming. The only dentist I had ever trusted was Dr. Alan Miyamoto back home in Maui. He really cared about his patients, did quality work and only did what was needed. He was our family dentist and I went to him for 40+ years. In 2014, I was forced to find new doctors and a new dentist because we moved to Southern California. I learned there are many, many, many dentists here! Between my daughter and me, we have been to five different dentists over a 4 year period! It's horrible how there are so many dentists that try to upsell you and do dental work that you don't need. It's sooo hard to find a dentist you can trust that isn't just in it for profit. I'm soooo happy I found Dr. Soller in Laguna Hills! I have finally found a dentist I can trust. He does quality work, does not try to do any additional work that's not needed and keeps cost in mind when providing services and options. I had an old crown that had a chip in it that would eventually need to be replaced. He gave me the less expensive option of repairing it to put off replacing right away or just replacing it. i chose to replace it since I'd have to do so in time anyway, but it was nice to have that option. Michelle at the front desk is always so helpful and friendly and reviews all info and costs with me and always great to chat with. Martha the hygienist is very friendly as well and does a great job. I've never had to wait a long time to get in for my appt and scheduling is a breeze. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Soller and his staff. They are all super friendly, and I actually don't mind going to the dentist now! They are also very accommodating if you have an urgent need. Since ive moved here from the bay area and no longer have the same dentist since i was 9.. it was tough finding someone as trustworthy. I tried a few places and it felt so impersonal as if them telling me what i needed to get done was a business deal.. they would sit me in their office, have the receptionist explain to me what i needed and a breakdown of cost. They always gave me tons of choices and options based on prices.. as if they want you to know that if you spend more you'll get treated better. it never felt right. My husband actually found dr. Soller and we're so glad we did. Dr. Soller was actually the one to tell me what i needed to get done and prioritized appropriately. He didn't suggest anything that he knew i dont really need at the moment just to squeeze more money out of me. He was also very gentle and always told me what he was doing or about to do. Very communicative which put me at ease. Everyone hates going to the dentist but this place actually makes it tolerable. The front receptionist is wonderful. The assistant is so sweet and gentle as well. We've been back here a few times already and its been a pleasant experience everytime. SO happy to have found a trustworthy dentist! I've read the raving reviews about this guy, but my first visit was not terribly reassuring. Soller's assistant is an Asian with some communication issues due to the language, but she seems to be open to communication. Soller himself seemed uninterested in my questions, ignored any of my answers to his own questions, and overall did not show any signs of having gained or understood anything from engaging with me. Actually, he seemed quite annoyed to be dealing with me, which is really not the best impression to make on a new patient. He did not examine my ill-fitting crown or the site of a recent surgery. I suppose that, since the x-rays showed nothing, he didn't care to give my concerns any extra attention. Perhaps I caught him on a bad day. I'll update after further visits. But so far, I have no confidence that he was truly concerned about my teeth or would catch something before it becomes a problem. This is all from a simple check-up and cleaning. read more

I've been going to see Dr. Soller since 2005. He is the kindest and best dentist I've ever been to. I've referred everyone I know to his practice. His prices are also very fair. I like the fact that he does the cleaning himself. That's a big deal to me. Michelle is also a very kind person. She always tries to accommodate my busy schedule. My 8-year old son walked out of this office from his appointment this week and declared it was his best visit to the dentist ever! Did they give him candy? No. Did they skip ex-rays, cleaning, and the usual flossing lecture? No. He even had a filling that needing replacing (too many Sour Patch Kids! ) and he was completely comfortable throughout the whole experience. I'd say these are strong indicators of a great dental team. We always get in on time, and are able to complete our appointments and leave without delays. Dr Soller and company are amazing! I've been horrible growing up with my teeth and being a young adult I have to pay for it. I had a PPO Dental plan, which they accepted, and pretty much on day one we jumped right in. They told me straight up front everything that needed attention right away and we prioritized what would be done first and then next and then after that. Everyone there was really nice and very well educated. They are able to talk to you and let you know what is going on and what will come next so overall - as a patient you could not ask for more. Michelle at the front was amazing, I had NO IDEA what I needed to get started my first visit and she told me the exact things I needed and who to call from my dental provider. They sent them the documents and Michelle took care of everything else. If you have insurance for the first time ever, or are afraid of dentist as I used to be as a kid, this is a wonderful family to join. I dread the dentist. I was super nervous about getting my filling done today, but Dr. Soller did an amazing job. I can honestly say that I had zero pain/discomfort in my filling. He is super patient, he walks you through the whole process and really sets your mind at ease. The office has a warm feeling, not a cold sterile one I normally feel at the dentist. Despite being an avid reader of Yelp reviews, this is my first time writing one. Therefore, you may guess that there is something very special happening here. However, before launching into my review, I must acknowledge the reviewers below. Without their reviews, I probably would not have known about this dental office. Being relatively new to the area and to my current dental plan, it was actually the Yelp reviews below (and others less favorable for other dentists) that helped me sort out the choices. Since my previous dentist's first question for me was whether I snored (which I imagine would be challenging since I sleep on my stomach), the reviews below that mentioned "integrity" immediately got my attention. Call me old school, but I prefer my dentist to perform dentistry. Therefore, I was relieved when Dr. Soller recommended dental work for me that I could see and feel was necessary. He also intelligently and patiently addressed any questions. Most importantly, during performance of the dental work, there was great concern about minimizing pain and ensuring the effectiveness, comfort and appearance of the results. During the work (and initial cleaning), Dr. Soller was well assisted by his dental hygienist, Maria. This dental office experience was also made all the more pleasant by Michelle, who arranged appointments and handled insurance matters. In short, having experienced a good deal of dental work (and having managed a number of non-dental operations myself), this office seemed to be the "complete package" in terms of clean, comfortable, professional, and harmonious environments. read more

Dr. Soller and his staff are TERRIFIC. My wife and I have been going to Dr. Soller for a year now and couldn't be happier. Here's what we like about him, his staff, and his office: 1) HONESTY and INTEGRITY - They're honest and operate with integrity. Dr. Soller explains everything he's doing and why he's doing it. If you need anything beyond the exam/cleaning, he explains simply and clearly why. He never "sells" you anything and doesn't have a hand on your wallet like other dentists. My biggest frustration with other dentists over the years has been the constant selling... you can't leave other dental offices without being sold a deep cleaning or an unnecessary crown. (Lake Forest Dental Group and Aria Irvani are two BIG offenders of this). 2) FRIENDLY - Dr. Soller and his staff are friendly and the environment is very comfortable. 3) CLEAN and MODERN - VERY clean office and very nice. All the latest dental technology and flat screen TVs to watch while you're getting worked on. At the same time, you don't see the massive overhead and excessive staff you see at other dental offices. Dr Soller is the first dentist I have found to not be at least partially a scam artist. I have been to many dentists in my life and most possess no integrity and will take all your money if they can. They will also mess you up by recommending treatments you do not need and wanting to do root canal when all you need is a filling. Unlike other dentists, Dr Soller examined my teeth for a long time and looked at my xrays in detail. I have never had a dentist actually look in my mouth for more than 1 minute during an exam before i came here. The best dental experience of my life! I read the reviews of approximately 15 dentists and all of them had at least 1 or 2 bad reviews due to mainly conniving people to pay more. This guy totally lived up to his reputation, Honest, ethical, giving you options on treatment, no hard sell. He let me decide on what I wanted to do after giving me the facts. State of the art X-rays in high definition which was sorely needed to isolate the problem. Then the treatment was effortless, I expected grueling, I expected numb lips, jaws, nothing... I had not been to a dentist in 7 (yep! seven) years!!! I HATE dentists...and all the noise and pain that comes with them. UNTIL I went to Dr. Soller!! He was not only gental, but made me feel so very comfortable! Making sure to let me know each and every step, before making them. Letting me know what drill or scraper thing he was switching to next and what it did (this drill is slower but makes a lot of vibrations, this drill is fast and makes a high pitched noise etc)...HE WAS WONDERFUL!! OMG! There us NO BETTER DENTIST on the face of this earth. I am horrified of the dentist and have been all my life. It takes me years to find a comfort level with the same dentist even though they've been good. If they have to refer me out, I have anxiety and panic attacks, and definitely have to take something to calm me even for a cleaning. All this to say, after my third visit I was completely comfortable and totally trust Dr. Soller. He explains everything in detail and shows you what he is talking about. He is highly skilled! He was going to refer me out to a specialist for a root canal for a very old tooth in the far back of my mouth. I begged him not to, and understanding my fear, he said he would do his best but he couldn't promise that he could be successful. But he was! I have had no pain or issues at all. I no longer take anxiety pills before my appointments. He is amazing. His staff is equally wonderful. They are knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and pleasant. They are a phenominal group of people.
