The vibe in this place just screams comfy, warm, and welcoming! I wish I could thank the host and waitress by name but sadly I didn't see any nametags. The nachos were incredible! I loved the arugula I feel like it added another dimension to a usually "fatty" dish Little to no wait times! HUGE selection of great dishes to choose from!

I always feel guilty whenever I go to someplace other than Marketplace in Danbury because we like that place so much, but after a Costco run that left us starving, I figured it wouldn't be fully cheating if we went to Market Place Tavern in Brookfield. Conveniently located right across from Costco, we came on a Thursday night and were seated immediately in the dining area. They also have a huge bar and that was filling up by the time we left, so if you want a quick bite at a bar, this is a good place for that. Service was friendly and my cocktail was perfect. We started with the buffalo chicken dip, which was amazing. I could have eaten the whole thing myself. Then I had a grilled cheese and short rib sandwich, which was outstanding. I should have only eaten half of it because it was so big, but it was so good, I couldn't stop myself. I like that the menu is a little different from the other Marketplace we go to but they still have some of the same things. It feels new, yet familiar. What is the same is the great service. If you're worn out from a Costco run and need a treat, hop across the street to Market Place Tavern!

Looks delicious, but grease city!

The only good thing about this place was our server. The food could not have been greasier and tasteless. The decor is "tired" and they need new music selctions. We will not be returning.

Short rib tacos with shoestring french fries

Ordered dinner from Market Place Tavern in Brookfield. For my appetizer I ordered the pretzels. The pretzel came temperature hot (not spicy hot) with two dipping sauces. One sauce was a sweet type sauce and a creamy sauce. The pretzel and sauces were very good. For my dinner I had short rib tacos with shoe string french fries from their handheld menu. The short rib was seasoned well and had a nice slaw on top. Only two of the short rib tacos on small tortilla. I hope one day this menu item gets moved to the entree portion of the menu. They were so good I just needed more of them.

Date night is always a great night to hit up Marketplace Tavern. We were in the mood for something different and delicious. I love the fact they have aqua panna available as water has become a ridiculous taste of mine. We love the great drink selection they have as I got the 5oz down east winter blend hard cider and my other half got the house Pinot Grigio. For appetizer we started with the fried pickles which were freshly battered and piping hot when brought to the table. I really appreciate a fresh battering! For entrees my spouse got the special preached grilled cheese accompanied by the red pepper tomato soup and i got the fish and chips. The waitress and other staff were very attentive and gracious. The sandwich was delish, the soup needed to be thickened and less acidic. We brought it home so i could doctor it back to health. The fish was on point for the actual fish inside the fried shell but i did pull all the beer battered coating off as it was very heavy like pancake batter honestly to really enjoy the meal. The lemon caper remoulade was phenomenal as well as the side of malt vinegar, pickles and french fries. I think a thinner beer batter would be more sufficient, i will say the fish was perfectly cooked inside though and the 3 pieces were filling without the corn dog like coating.

Delicious wings. Meaty and prepared with both buffalo and barbecue sauce.

Great food and service. Food was excellent and great attention to detail . Presentation was a plus as well. You can tell they put thought into their food , food was good at every level and perfectly seasoned

Pulled Short Rib Taco** and the truffle fries - SO good!

Yum!! Went out for a double date night with some good friends. We shared the nachos - which were amazing! As for the entrees, I think I won with the short rib tacos. They were so tender, no fat - and a great blend of complimentary flavors. Whether your looking for a good lunch or a yummy dinner, this is the spot. The ambiance is great as well - this spot just has a great vibe. We will be back!

Went here for a birthday lunch for myself with a few friends. I really enjoyed the menu options and had a hard time choosing what I wanted with so many good options. We started with the nachos and devoured them quickly. I had a wrap for lunch and truffle fries which were both tasty and filled me up. I had the blood orange passion fruit spritz which was good as well. Prices were fair and service was attentive and friendly. I would go back!

Had a great family experience at Market Place and cannot wait to return for another visit. The menu has such a wide variety of options to choose from. Nachos were delicious. Loved my main dish (chicken milanese). Staff were nice, friendly, and attentive. Great ambiance and lighting inside. Pricing was average considering the high quality of the food. Felt very safe indoor dining.

I've tried this restaurant a few times and it's always been pleasant. It's not an overly fancy place with a nice bar area to enjoy some food and drinks. Service was a bit slow but it was a Saturday afternoon with minimal people inside. We had the spicy Buffalo chicken salad and fried chicken sandwich (not pictured) which were both delicious. I tend to stop here if I'm ever in the area.

Extremely overpriced for very small portion sizes. Service was good, but not worth the lack of food.

I…read morenever jump to that conclusion lightly -- and honestly, I tried to talk myself out of what I was seeing in real time. But after replaying the situation, I couldn't unsee it. My date and I had an 8:00 PM Valentine's Day reservation and arrived on time. We checked in with the hostess and were told our table would be ready "in a moment," which was totally fine. We stood and waited patiently. Shortly after, a white couple walked in behind us and told the hostess they technically had an 8:15 PM reservation but were told to come at 8:00. They were seated immediately. We looked at each other but didn't say anything -- we figured maybe they had something ready and ours was being turned over. Then another white couple came in with an 8:00 PM reservation and was also seated right away. At this point, we were still standing there. No update. No explanation. No reassurance. All three parties were groups of two. There was no difference in party size, and we were on time for our reservation. Being skipped once might be a mistake. Being skipped twice, with no communication at all, felt intentional and uncomfortable. We were left standing there feeling confused and honestly unwelcome. If there was a legitimate reason for the delay, it was never communicated to us. No "your table is being cleared," no "we're just running behind," nothing. Just silence while other couples were seated in front of us. What was the difference between their table and ours that we were moved to the side to stand and wait? Everyone was a party of 2. We arrived on time and were the first ones in the door.. I truly didn't want to believe what this looked like, but it became impossible to ignore. We ended up leaving because the situation made us feel disrespected and unwanted as customers. Valentine's Day is obviously a busy night, but fairness and basic communication are non-negotiable. I would not recommend this place, and I especially would not recommend it to people of color based on how we were treated.

We started with a really great two cheese crostini which was delicious. I paired that with a rye old fashioned (or two) and that drink really hit the spot. For my entree I had a meatball hero which was just as delicious the next day when I had the second half for lunch. The portion was huge and I loved the meatballs and the sauce. For dessert we had a cheesecake with a house made pistachio creme which was amazing. We had a chance to talk to Tim who I believe owns the place and we asked him about a sign we saw on the westside at Innovation Studios for a Rebellion Gastropub. He says he hopes to have that open early in the new year so we can't wait to try that out as well, especially since it's only a five minute drive. But it's worth a 20 minute drive or more to visit Rebellion and we'll definitely be back.

He wholeheartedly recommended Bora Restaurant. I followed his advice and was not disappointed! Do not judge the book by its cover. It looks plain and unassuming on the outside and took me a few seconds to spot it. (No pic, as I was distracted by my new car!) The inside was nicely appointed. Perhaps too many fake flowers, but maybe not. They seemed to work and add color. I went at 4 pm on a Saturday, so between lunch and dinner. There were people, but no crowds or noise. All I wanted was a good burger. And I got it! I ordered the House Burger: (6 oz?) Marbled Wagyu Beef, Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon, Red Onion, Toasted Brioche, and Special Burger Sauce on the side. (Truthfully, I included all that for your benefit. I only wanted the burger, bacon, and bun with ketchup on the side.) It was delicious! I did manage to snap a pic before I descended upon it like a ravenous Serengeti carnivore... with a modicum of decorum so as not to scare the other guests. The service was fast and friendly and the prices reasonable. This is the sort of place I would like to return to in order to try some of their finer dishes!

Oysters were very good, but the calamari came out cold and was very bland and overpriced. The aesthetics are solid for the establishment, and the entree was decent. We started with a couple of drinks, which were very strong..maybe a little too strong. My sangria didn't taste like sangria at all, and I honestly couldn't tell what was in it. It didn't have any fruit, and I think vodka was added. We ordered the calamari and what was listed as hummus with pita. When it arrived, we noticed the "hummus" was actually spinach and artichoke dip. I had to ask about it since I have an allergy and wanted to make sure a certain ingredient wasn't included. We decided to keep it and I'm glad we did because it was absolutely delicious!! The calamari was just as good, if not better. Both appetizers were fantastic. For our entrée, we ordered the rigatoni to share. There was a bit of confusion, as our waitress (who was also the bartender) thought we wanted it packed to go, when we actually planned to eat it and then take the rest home. She quickly fixed it in the kitchen, so really no harm done. My only guess is that since we had been sitting with appetizers for quite a while, she may have assumed we were finished eating.. I mean it was a while. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very good. However, it was topped with microgreens and cilantro which really threw me off! I've never had a pasta dish garnished with cilantro, especially instead of something more traditional like basil...? It felt like a strange choice and was a bit unappetizing for me. Overall, it was a very... odd... first experience. Would I give it another shot? Yes, but I think I'd wait a bit and hope things become more organized. I have to add it is beautiful inside. They have the cutest lights on the table. Appetizers: 10/10 Drinks: 3/10 Entrée: 5/10
