    LOBSTER ROLL
    Anna C.

The best lobster roll I've had in Seattle without a doubt! A little pricey but sooo filled with lobster and flavorful so I can excuse it. I got this to-go and the order was ready and warm on the counter right after they texted me, and the service was super friendly too. The fries were also incredible. I'll definitely be back.

Stopped by for lunch at noon. There's a lot of free street parking nearby, but it is very busy. I would advise to leave early if you are driving and coming during peak times. There is no indoor seating. There is a lot of outdoor seating available, there's even some heaters outside. I was here for Seattle restaurant week and ordered the fish and chips meal. Staff were super friendly. It took about 10 minutes to get my food. Food was super hot and fresh. The meal was super tasty and reminded me of Proper Fish in Bainbridge. Would totally come back.

Stopped in for lunch on a nice sunny day. Ordered rock fish tacos, grilled and fried and fish and chips. Everything was fresh and made to order. We also added garlic Parmesan fries to share. Just the right amount of garlic and parm without being overpowering and they were hot and crispy. You order at the front and they call you when it's ready. Sat out front with my dog. Self serve water available. Only downside was we did order the slushy drinks , one strawberry mint lemonade and a red sangria, which we felt while they were ok were overpriced at $10 and $14. Girls at cashier were helpful and friendly.

This is probably the best casual-ish seafood eatery I've tried in the Seattle area. This location is a short walk from the seaside in a cozy town area. You order from a window, and there are some tables, benches, and a bar area nestled on the side for diners. Finding a comfortable spot to sit was a real challenge because there were only a few tables, so we just opted for two bar seats. The food took about 10 minutes to be ready and came in to-go containers. Everything was carefully packed, and the presentation was great! The fish and chips? VERY good. A true battered, flaky fish and fry. The batter was perfectly salted and very crispy. The fish inside was fairly fresh and slightly flaky. The fries were just fries, but they were also fresh! The lobster bun had real lobster claw meat, and the bun was a true buttered and crispy brioche type. It's a real lobster bun! This was very tasty, but make sure you really squeeze on the lemon. I felt it needed a tad more flavor. The fish tacos were messy, but fresh and tasty. Overall, I'm a fan! I just wish they had a bigger seating area.

Fresh seafood with outdoor seating in downtown Edmonds. You order at the front counter, pay, and wait to pick up your order. We got the fish and chips. Fish was huge, nicely battered and fried, paired well with their signature tartar sauce. The fries are a bit salty but the crunch is good. The fish and chips were about $22 but it tasted really fresh, not frozen so I think it's worth it if you crave fish and chips. They also have other seafood dishes like lobster rolls, will try the next time I'm around the area.

My friend said we should try this place while visiting and I'm so glad we did! The lobster roll was delicious and the chunks were huge - definitely worth it. I like that you can customize the order to switch up the side that comes with it. They can get busy so you can order online instead of waiting. They also have outdoor seating available.

This is one of the best lobster rolls on the north side. This isn't a classic sit down place and you will sit outside in the patio area to chow down. Note to gonna sunny day or bundle up. It's hard to decided between the cold and garlic butter hot version. I personally lean to the hot version. A subtle thing this place gets correct is the bread. They use quality bread toast it with butter and the consistency is just right to absorb the natural juice but not soggy half way through. You can order things like lemonade or alcohol spritzers to add to your meal. They don't skimp on the fries.

Their menu has changed over the years but I've finally was able to stop by to try their seafood rolls. I had to go for it and ordered the Market Roll Trio which came with hot lobster, cold lobster, hot crab, and fries. The cold lobster was my favorite of the three and would come back to eat that again. The fries were meh so definitely going to upgrade to a salad or something else next time. Grand total was $71 after tax and tip so this wasn't a cheap meal given that it's a casual takeout place. They had a nice patio with covered and uncovered seating so perfect spot for a summer or early fall meal.

This place is super consistent with their food--everything is always so fresh and tasty! I've tried all variations of their lobster/crab rolls, as well as their oysters and fish/chips. With that said, IMO if you make the trek to Edmonds, it's just mando to try one of their lobster rolls. The fries are 10/10, as well. Now fam, this is lobster/seafood we're talking about soooo expect to pay for what you're eating lol.

I originally visited Market back in 2023 before I moved to the area. That was the middle of October and I remember the restaurant being absolutely packed, with no seating available at the outdoor only tables. After we ordered at the walk up window, we ended up having to explore around the area to find a place to sit down and eat! I only just had the chance to have their food again recently - this time via a large catering order at work so there were no issues with seating. Hot Lobster Roll, Half ($26) - Super buttery bread, thick bun plenty of strength to hold everything in. Nothing pops out while eating. Tons of lobster in a creamy mayo sauce. It's kind of piled on rather than mixed in thoroughly. It seems most of it is on the top so it doesn't overload the lobster. The mayo is kind of vinegar-like tangy. The menu states lemon aoili, but I think it tastes closer to tarter sauce-like vinegar. There are two tangy and crunchy pickles on top that are super vinegar soaked and approaching soggy. Finally, lots of chives are sprinkled on top for an herbal pop. Ahi Tuna Crispy Rice Cake ($14) - An order comes with four pieces. This dish includes a crunchy rice cake on the bottom, fried, tasting very similar to a Vietnamese rice cracker, full of umami and kind of fishy. It's topped with fresh tuna that's tossed in a bit of sweet ginger mayo mixed with maybe some siracha giving a slight spicy kick. Some tobiko on top gives a salty and briny punch. Clam Chowder ($12) - This chowder is really thick, kind of lumpy and floury like they use a lot of roux. The taste is only a bit clammy but not nearly as much as other clam chowders. It's very salty and inclues a good amount of clam. The taste includes very aromatic herbs, maybe rosemary-ish and quite savory. It's definitely a different kind of clam chowder than I'm used to in terms of flavor. I can't say I eat lobster rolls all that often, but Market certainly serves a good one (at least to my inexperienced taste buds!)

1/2 LOBSTER ROLL (came with fries)

First time here on a Saturday around 2pm. Ordered 1/2 lobster roll and it came with fries and was ready in approx 10 mins despite the place being busy. Shared a table with another couple that wasn't under the cover or by the heaters. No designated parking but street parking available for free up to three hours. Lots of flavor with the sandwich and not too buttery. Definitely on the higher end of price but to be expected with the quality of seafood.

I have to visit this place every time I'm in Seattle! My favorite item is the Salt and Pepper Shrimp It is flavorful without being too salty and comes with a honey chili aioli sauce. Their Lobster Roll is garlicky, buttery, and has a generous amount of lobster. My friend really enjoys the Fish and Chips! It is very crispy, served in a good size, and comes with delicious tartar sauce that pairs perfectly! The staff are very friendly and always happy to give food recommendations. Seating is a bit limited since there aren't many tables, but I've always been able to find a spot, so it's not too bad. Parking is only on the street, and it can sometimes be tricky to find a good spot. Can't wait to visit again! :))

Fun little area to stroll around and grab a nice bite to eat. I was here visiting family and they suggested this spot. We grabbed a table along the street, which was perfect for some people watching. Families and friends were strolling the streets with ice cream in hand, just enjoying the gorgeous weather. Many of us ordered the hot lobster roll and a cup of clam chowder. Both were delicious. I could have eaten another lobster roll but at $36 a pop, I'll just have to settle for this special treat. This is one of the spots you order via your app or you go up to a window to order and they call your name when it is ready, so the service is minimal. Having said that, the service at the window was friendly and quick. I really enjoyed this spot. I'd definitely come back.

Is this also a market or just a restaurant?

Since Covid you order at the register outside and there are tables and stand up tables outside to eat on. Partial covering and some without.

    Is it dog friendly?

Yes! They have outdoor seating and outdoor booths. Great for dogs! My fur baby had a great time :)

We ordered an abundant spread, and every dish impressed. The clear crowd favorite was the Singapore black pepper prawns - fragrant, perfectly spiced, and completely addictive. That black pepper sauce was hands down the star of the meal: rich, peppery, and deeply flavorful. It was my favorite and could easily be eaten on everything. The Mala curry crab and XO crab were both outstanding; layered with complex, indulgent flavors. The Thai green chili clams and saus mentega clams were vibrant and comforting, while the crab fried rice had generous morsels of crab folded throughout the dish. We also really enjoyed the Indonesian chicken wings, which were crispy and flavorful, and the stir-fried vegetables, which added a fresh, well-balanced contrast to the seafood-heavy menu. Everything traveled well, was thoughtfully prepared, and made for an unforgettable catered meal. If you're considering catering from Marimakan Crabhouse, I can't recommend it highly enough. Get the black pepper sauce! Amazing from start to finish, and Chef V or Rachel is lovely to work with.

In long This place has great word of mouth and I'm glad I finally got to check it out. I tried 2 things, and, so far, the menu seems to be executed very well. The whole menu looks crazy promising, so this is an excellent sign. I came in for a late lunch on a summer Friday during World Cup. A few folks were watching the game--there were a handful of gasps for great shots and saves. But most of the scattered crowd was there for a leisurely lunch (or beer). They have a solid tap lineup with lots of dependable local favorites, and the tender knew quite a few people by name *and* by beer preference as soon as they sat down. Said she had been there over 5 years. Great vibe, lots of happy customers. It probably gets kinda loud in here when it's packed--you can tell from the photos that everything is concrete and wood and whatnot. No acoustic baffling that I could see. Easy to clean, though, and it was definitely just pleasant and sociable the whole time I was there. I got the Blue Burger with a cup of clam chowder. You can tell the soup is scratch, nice little dicing on the potatoes and veg, decent amount of clams. Comes with the oyster crackers that some of us have loved for decades. The burger is hearty--thick patty, thick stack of veg, squishy thickish bun. Easy enough to eat but without a doubt it's the opposite of a smashburger. I know, I know. This is a seafood joint. You can tell from the fake seagulls right by the front door. But it's been ages since I had a burger, and at least I tried the chowder. Everything was easily good enough to come back and see how the water side of the menu is. I was in and out for a fair price, and never doubted that everything would be very good. And that's exactly how it turned out. I'll happily be back.
