Segway 30 years later and I can't imagine ever leaving Houston. We have Astros, Texans, Rockets, Houston Ballet, a gabillion great restaurants and dot dot dot Spec's Liquors! Want tequilas? They have a whole wall of that. Like Bourbon? Try to pick through the 20 or 30 brands available. Wines, beers and every other liquor is much the same, much to chose from. Spec'd stocks cigars too. Step into the humidor and pretend you know something about cigars. Better yet, ask for help because these people are trained. If you are planning a party then you can also pick up a selection of gourmet hor d'oeuvres, glassware and gadgets.

I have been there several times and they are always friendly. I had the occasion to be part of a committee for a function where we needed to buy a bulk amount of liquor and one of my alumni friends suggested that we use Sunny's as he shopped there also. We went over and he introduced me to Sunny and he was very accommodating to our needs. He also beat the price for Spec's and we received an additional discount because we paid cash. Great price and huge variety for a small store! Even though it is a small location he has a large variety of brands. He has even suggested different types to try and gave us a few samples to taste. It allowed us to save money on our purchases and we will definitely use him again next year for our yearly function. One thing I like is every time I go there now, Sunny remembers me, it is a real personal feel.

We got to sample several different sparkling wines and learned about the history and background about the different wines. These classes are always fun and informative. Eric did a great job teaching the class and Heather did a great job pouring. We ended the class with a blind tasting and to my surprise Eric had the class sing Happy Birthday to me...Best class ever.
