I am always looking for the perfect breakfast/brunch place when I am on vacation. Read the reviews of Marketside cafe and thought we need to give this place a try. We ordered two Sal Maglis and pancakes and French toast. First taste of the Sal Magli and I knew this was an amazing choice. The blend of egg, potatoes, cheddar cheese and roasted red peppers was beyond what I expected. I think to really understand how good this was had to do with the not so great scrambler plates I have had in the past. This was just so incredibly delicious with the perfect textures married together. The Italian bread served with it just made it even more over the top. The pancakes and French toast were perfect, fluffy with a bit of crunch in the right spots. This is served by a lovely family who cares about their customers and experience. I brought my father here tonight for the friday night fish dinner. It was really delicious, pan fried haddock, excellent quality and a light, buttery, crispy coating. They served it with sliced potatoes that had a hint of garlic and butter, some type of flavorful sliced cabbage and garbanzo bean salad. It came with salad (delicious and fresh) and soup, homemade. It was $15. per person, well worth it. The restaurant is in my old neighborhood where I grew up, and it was full of good memories. The owner is very nice and the staff is extremely nice. This restaurant is quaint and delicious. The menu is small but it has everything you need to have a delicious breakfast. The service was amazing, the owner came by our table a few times and it felt like we knew him. The place was so welcoming and the food was quick and tasty. We came in about 9:30 am on Saturday and it wasn't that busy so we were able to sit right away. This was a great place to eat and it definitely doesn't break the bank! My husband and I found Marketplace on Google while vacationing in the Falls area. We went to check it out. It's our go to place now if visiting the area. It's small,great wait staff,owner pops by to say hello,portions huge,prices low. Not fancy but I'd rather have a filling,good,affordable meal than pay for the decor of a fancy place. The treatment we received here was something out of the 1950s era. Note, my family and I are Latino and we were visiting Niagara Falls and wanted to have breakfast here due to the good reviews. We came in to the restaurant and none of the staff looked at us, nobody spoke to us, we might as well not have been there. I thought at first, that maybe they were busy and they were going to speak to us as soon as somebody was free to help us. Nope, they just kept about their business. The patrons were all looking at us as if we were zoo animals. Finally, after five minutes of the crew just ignoring us, my sister asked how long the wait is. The "hostess" finally realized she had a job to do and asked us how many we were and we told her five, she looked around and said "well, I don't know, there's a lot of people here". We walked out after that and went somewhere else. I have never seen waitstaff treat any potential customers like that in my life; it baffles me how a place that has so many good reviews has terrible customer service. Racism is alive and well and you can find it here. Don't come here if you're not lily white because you will not be seen. read more

My husband had a sausage omelette, a side order of home fries, toast, and coffee. The prices are quite reasonable. Once we had our food we never saw our waitress again. The restaurant did appear to be busy but I don't think that's an excuse for not ever coming by a patron's table to check to see if they need anything, which we did. I ended up having to ask the busboy to get us what we needed. Like I said, the food was very very good. Perhaps it was a bad day.
