Not really a fan. I felt the proprietor was rude and pushy. He scoffed at my silverware and said "there's nothing here" if someone offered you money for this just take it. I'm not sure why he set the whole container in his lap as he rapidly made piles on his desk. Smacking his lips and shrugging. First of all, this is not a store. It is an office in a building which has a sign on the door that says "By appointment only". When you call no one picks up, you have to leave a message and someone will call you back. They only sell silver and gold in quantities of $10,000 silver and $25,000 gold. I found Mr. Howard Markham to be prompt, fast efficient and fair. I called on Monday expecting at least several days to a week wait for an appointment. He was able to see me the next day and he arrived early. He was efficient in the way he sorted through the items I had (coins, gold, silver, jewelry and paper money). When asked of the value of some coins he explained today's value as well as future projections. Having done this for 25+ years he was able to quickly look at the coins, etc. and determine their value. Having looked some of the coins up on EBay his prices were in the same range without the hassle of listing them and waiting for them to sale. He was able to quickly look through the jewelry and determine a value of if it was costume.
