I called the parts department and they were very honest with me about how much parts cost and that I was getting taken advantage of, so I got the work done here today and less than one hour. The only reason I didn't get an oil change at Honda* last time was because my five-year warranty just ended, but I will continue to go to them for OEM parts. Our father, after a long career with the state, worked at Markley as a parts delivery driver for 18 years. Upon his passing, we went to Markley to sell his Honda Passport (where he had purchased it just a couple years ago), I guess out of some show of loyalty. The offer we received was a total lowball, far below even KBB value. Markley even printed a "KBB value" on the offer sheet which was $2000 lower than the value we checked one day after, which seems shady. Excuses were it needed an entirely new windshield (it had one tiny pit, easily filled in with epoxy) and needed an oil change ($50 cost to Markley?). The used car manager was rude and didn't care. Even told us to just "go elsewhere" if we didn't like his offer. We weren't expecting special treatment, but an insulting lowball offer and rude attitude was surprising. Don't bother giving your business or time to Markley... this is a dealer gone apathetic after decades. read more

When I went into the service department, the gentleman was quick and kind to inform me I was in the wrong area and he helped me get to the parts department. The two gentlemen working the parts department were friendly and got me what I needed right away. They informed me of any additional parts I may need as well as the prices and gave me the information to have on hand should I need to come back. The engine in our 2020 Pilot suddenly started misfiring as we were going out for the day. Luckily, it was early on a weekday, so we decided to drive straight to the nearest Honda service shop, which was Markley's. As we entered the shop, we immediately picked up on the customer-comes-first vibes running throughout the shop. The staff was all on their toes and focused on the customers. We were received by Will, the service associate. He made us feel at ease with his professional, yet friendly demeanor. A very pleasant surprise was that we were outfitted with a free loaner vehicle, a brand new Passport mind you. The issue with our Pilot turned out to be that debris had made it's way into the air-flow sensor, which was quickly diagnosed, and an easy inexpensive repair. The mechanic even took a video of the issue to make it perfectly clear what was going on. This was shared with us on-line. It was an unexpected touch and made us feel the shop could be trusted to perform only the services actually required. We highly recommend Markley Honda! read more

This was by far the worse experience I have ever had at a dealership. I bought a van and it had so many issues with it every time I brought it in to get something fixed they told me there was nothing wrong with it. I moved to a different state and took it to the Honda dealership down here for the same issues I took it in for before and they had my car for 20 days and found issue after issue with my car and it ended up costing $34,000.00 to fix. These are issues that should have been fixed the millions of time I brought my car into markley. I will never go back here and will never refer anyone to go there for service of to get a car. read more

The new scheduling system does not offer selection for services nor does it provide the cost of services.. It was nearly $100 for an oil and filter change. Meanwhile, I checked a Honda Dealer in Las Vegas (where my vehicle was purchased) and a similar service was $60. What is the point of going through Honda for service if the costs are inflated? I may need to look into a new car and a new dealership. read more

We purchased a new Honda last year and it was a good experience so we decided to go back to look at a used car for our child. Very different experience with the same salesman. The manager Huang was extremely rude and rather than negotiate or have a conversation about price he essentially told us to go away. We were trying to teach our child how to negotiate on price and the price asked about was only 500 less than they were asking. We absolutely will never be back to Marley Motors for any reason. I had really liked the salesman but the fact that he hid while Huang disrespected us made me question everything I had previously thought about him. read more

My first experience with Markley Honda service was poor. The valet picked up my car at 8:45 am. I noted there was $120 order estimate to look at my sensor that is acting up. I told the valet that my car is under warranty, and he said he would let them know. Around 4:30 I called because I still hadn't heard anything, I just got sent to voice mall repeatedly, which is what has happened every time I call. I should have been tipped off when I had to leave a VM just to get my car in and it took 2-3 days to hear back. Finally at 6:00 pm I get a call that my car is done, that they couldn't replicate the sensor issue but they are happy for me to bring it back another day. And oh now they don't have time to return my car until the next. Frustrating. The car comes back the next day -- with that $120 sensor diagnostic fee on top of my oil change and wheel alignment. I've NEVER been charged for something like this at previous Honda dealerships, even when out of warranty--especially when they can't replicate it. I asked about it to two people at Markley and they said diagnosis isn't covered by my Honda Care warranty. What. The sensor issue--which throws on the brakes unexpectedly and is quite dangerous -- has happened about every day since. In addition, there were several recommended services that I was NEVER told about while they had the car. They are just listed on the final Invoice. Why weren't these mentioned so I could get them done while the car was already in for service?! I love my Pilot but not having a local service department I can rely on will make me have to consider a new car brand in the near future. I'm one very unsatisfied customer. read more

Not a time goes by that something doesn't go wrong with the service. There was the time they told me I needed new air filters, so I paid to have them replaced and they did not replace them. There were the five (yes, FIVE) times they put the wrong type/level of oil in my car and comped us a free oil change the next time as an apology. Most recently, was told my splashguard was damaged... I'd had them take off the splashguard over a year ago. So between lies, endless upsells, and gross incompetence, Markley Honda is consistently a very frustrating business to go to. I only go there for an oil change because they can get me in day-of. Also didn't appreciate the snarky guy behind the counter interrogating me about my spark plugs and transmission fluid, giving me the "oh you did those yourself, huh??? Where? When?? What do you know about that stuff?" For your information, I had those done elsewhere because I don't trust you people. I take my car in for regular service. I bought my car there back in 2012 and have had ever since. The service that has changed...not a fan. Before, oil changes were 45 bucks and were that for a long time. Last time was $75 and now, it is $125 for just an oil change??? I get that there is inflation but seriously! I also got a long list of crap that my car needs. Got a second opinion and the only thing my car really needs is a new strut as one is really worn. As for pricing, they quoted me $1,698.24 for one strut plus labor. Funny, I can go to an auto parts store and get the parts to replace ALL 4 STRUTS for $150. Luckily, my fiance is handy. I don't think I will be returning here anymore. They used to be awesome but now, they are trying to bilk everyone out of their.money. read more

I am a WI resident, formerly from Colorado. I was visiting friends in Fort Collins, CO and looking to purchase a new 2023 Honda Ridgeline RTL. My friend and I visited Markley and we were greeted by Paul (who I am not blaming for this experience). We found a Modern Steel Metallic gray RTL parked at the far back lot and stopped to look at it. Paul greeted us, brought keys, and provided answers to my questions as well as he could. For those answers he didn't have, I drove the RTL (nearly a city block) to the front of the dealership where a different (apparently more seasoned salesman) took over trying to sell us a vehicle and answered my questions while seated in the truck, while interspersing flirtatious comments with me which were seriously ridiculous and offensive. We then went inside the dealership to sit at this salesman's desk at the front/left cubicle (I don't know his name; unfortunately I disposed of the card he gave me), as he "joked" with Paul that they would split the commission. After alot of chit chat to make us feel as if they were our friends, I told them that I was going to talk to my husband about this, and went outside with my friend. While on the phone with my husband, we decided to purchase this RTL - once we could come to an agreement that the dealership would remove their $1769+/- unnecessary dealer addon fees, and once I knew what they would give me on my trade-in. Paul came outside near the end of the phone conversation and I told him what we had decided. He immediately stated (obviously being instructed by the seasoned salesman inside), that there is an automatic "required" $3000 fee assigned to out of state buyers that they cannot remove. I said that this is a deal breaker. He told us they don't have enough inventory, and said to have a good day, jumped in the truck and drove away. My friend and I stood in shock, not understanding what the heck had just happened, as my husband on the other end was equally shocked. We then walked the city block to their far back lot to retrieve my car and leave. Apparently Paul was instructed to leave us as soon as possible. I have since learned from another dealership in Golden, CO that the $3000 out of state fee does not need to be passed on to the consumer. Well, of course. Markley could have negotiated with me and we would likely have purchased the truck that day, but they chose to keep their commission as high as possible. Just FYI, Markley... You obviously counted me as insignificant, but the friend who was with me is a resident of Fort Collins, as is her extended family. We told this story to each of them. Every family member will never consider working with Markley. Thanks to the way that we were treated they will relay this story to every potential customer in your community base that they know. FYI, I am 65. A friend made the point that this incredibly rude and unprofessional treatment that we received was committed against a "Senior" (although this is a loose term in the context of my abilities and conduct). My experiences with dealership conduct have traditionally been disappointing. Congratulations, Markley - you just raised the bar on how bad it can be. Note: When writing reviews I also read the others left for the same company. When I see multiple bad reviews and then amazingly see 5 Star glowing reviews conveniently sprinkled among the bad reviews - I always wonder - who was hired to write those 5 Stars to offset all the bad? He told me how long it should take, came out and showed me where to wait, bathroom, etc. When the key was ready he came and got me, walked me to my car to make sure key worked. I had a dead battery in my Honda CRV that I drove to the nearest auto repair to have replaced. Before they would replace it, I was told to check the warranty status with the Honda dealer who installed the battery. So I pulled out my old receipt from the battery and contacted Marley's service department. Over the phone the Service rep confirmed the battery after pulling up was still under warranty after pulling up my service records and a replacement would battery would be free of charge. I drop off my car on Friday Evening and a second service rep pulled up my info snd had me sign their forms which. stated there would be no charge for the battery replacement. Then on Saturday morning I get a call from a Markley service rep saying they would not honor the warranty and were going to charge me for the battery. After arguing with the service director fo several minutes I was put on hold for sbout 15 min and finally was told they would eat the cost of the battery and not charge me. Hello the battery was still under warranty.. I will not be back. read more

I moved here from out of state, and I had a very good experience with the Honda dealership in Georgia where I lived. The experience here in Fort Collins has been nothing but horrible! They try to overcharge at every possible opportunity! I was quoted $65 as a diagnostic fee to just figure out what was wrong, when I got to the dealership they tried to change the number to $165! I refused to pay it and they immediately dropped the $100 off down to $65. They then proceeded to diagnose. My problem is needing a new alternator on a 2012 Honda Odyssey and quoted me a price of over $1100 to replace it. I was shocked and disgusted. I took my vehicle. I found McAdams mobile mechanic service through the Internet. They came to my house and did a complete job on my terms at my home for $450! Markley Honda is a total rip off they gouge people, they are looking for every opportunity to steal money out of your wallet. My suggestion is you never, never, never visit this dealership! This review is for the service center as I did not buy my Honda at this dealership. I've been going for about 4 years and every time it's worse. They have tried to charge me prices higher than what's posted on the sign behind the service rep. They have tried to sell me services (ie brake replacement) that I have gotten second opinions from other mechanics and have not needed. And they keep me waiting for hours over simple things like an oil change. The last time I went in for a 4 PM appt for an oil change, I was still there at 7 when they were turning off the lights and locking the doors. I had to go hunt for someone to find my car and tell me what was going on. I have been a Honda girl my whole life, but I would rather change brands than give Markley Motors any more of my business. read more

Came in for an oil change and had an appointment at 930, didn't even start the service till 1030. Then they returned my car with a huge crack along the windshield (there was previously a smaller crack in the lower passenger side but minor) and now it extends across the entire driver side right through the middle. I called and they claim that I went in with a crack that large but that is not true. My car came out in worse condition than when I came. They also told me they washed my car but it definitely did not look washed and I had 2 different employees say it was, so I mentioned this one on the phone too and they said the footage is inconclusive if it did or not. It was obvious it was dirty. This is not my only bad experience here, last oil change I came in and it took over 3 hours to complete. Not returning or recommending. read more

I'm new to the area and decided to get my car serviced at Markley. Only once in 4 service appointments has my service been done in a timely manner. It took them over 3 hours to replace my tires. When I asked, they never updated me, I was told "we're a little backed up on appointments ". Don't bother with their service department. I'll never come back here again. read more

I've owned three Hondas now and two of them were purchased from this dealership. I have always appreciated the service from the sales associates! They haven't been pushy and give us attention, answering all our questions and taking as much time as we need with selection or consideration. I've never felt like I was being manipulated or patronized during a car-buying situation. I have been to the service department on many occasions because they have pretty decent prices when it comes to an oil change or regular maintenance and I know they will treat my car right. The only complaint here is that it seems they always take longer than they say they are going to and that is frustrating. Why not just give me a realistic estimate for how long I am going to have to wait?? I don't live very close, but if I did, they have a service shuttle that will give you a ride home and back. I have worked with the collision repair center as well on insurance repairs and that went smoothly, giving me car back looking as good as it did when I bought it. That was pretty smooth and the service was good. One last thing that is small, but makes me happy...the cookies that are baked fresh while you wait for your car to be fixed. So good! read more

I've been a Markley customer since 2015. The service has always been fast, reliable, and reasonably priced. Our experience purchasing a vehicle through them in 2019 was also excellent. But the reason I am writing this review is because they were nothing short of amazing when we had some things go wrong on our Pilot after the warranty expired but well before they should've, considering the reliability of the Honda brand. Luis knowingly lies to, yells at, gaslights, and intimidates disabled customers who dare question him. I discussed this with the sales manager and tried following up several times over weeks even though I dreaded doing so because I was so rattled by the situation. To no avail.
