Also we were told one day the repair on my wife's Audi would be free and the next day was told it would be 550$ to replace the part she needed. They have no problem lying to you while taking your money. We now drive to Denver or Boulder Audi because this place is so bad. read more

WARNING: Beware of fraudulent and dishonest business practices! I caution others to take their business elsewhere due to the disappointing experience with this dealership and its representatives, who fall short in upholding the integrity of the Porsche high-end brand. In late 2022, I purchased a 2019 GT3 RS for $250k with 7800 miles. Despite residing in CA and expecting honesty and transparency from a dealership representing such a prestigious brand, my trust was misplaced. As a car enthusiast, I diligently inquired about the vehicle's condition, requested service records, and received low-resolution images assuring me of its cleanliness. The dealership claimed the car underwent a comprehensive Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) service, emphasizing its flawless state. However, crucial details, such as severe paint damage from track use, were conveniently omitted . Upon delivery, the undisclosed paint damage became apparent. It took about a year and about 700 miles to have revealed shifting issues three months ago. Local Porsche dealerships couldn't identify the problem initially and i picked it up after 2 weeks... After driving 40 more miles, an engine failure occurred due to clogged air filters with rock chips and tire thread. Investigating the service records revealed the car had about 1500 track miles noted with recommanded service at 4k and replaced rotors and brakes and Rotors at 6k. Shockingly, Ed Carroll Porsche neglected air filter replacements, violating Porsche's recommended service intervals. Despite the clear discrepancy, the dealership refuses to take responsibility for their dishonesty. Not doing the 4 year recommended service and not checking or replacing the air filter all throughout the time this vehicle has been serviced for 4 years at their dealership. The car is currently undergoing an engine overhaul at 8600 miles, and the General Manager for Ed Carroll Porsche dismisses any accountability for their fraudulent practices. I buy a used Audi with about 20k on it. Audi foots the bill for the 30,40 and 50k services. Cool. I take it to Fort Collins Audi and everything seems to go just fine. Coming up on 60k I call to schedule an appointment for that service. I ask - "what service is performed at 60k?" At 60k, and for over 500 bucks (!) you get an oil change, engine and cabin air filters changed. (Seriously?) I know you can buy service packages in 20k increments. I ask how much is the 60 and 70 package? Over 1100 bucks. Ok, what service does the 70k include? That is a oil change AND transmission fluid change. Uh...no thank you. So I go on Amazon and get a cabin air filter for 20 bucks. Took me 5 minutes to change but wait... there's more. I noticed there was only one of two push fastener keeping the foam insulation attached and one of two screws that holds the filter cover in place. That's wrong. What else are your mechanics skipping and not doing a good job on? I will never take my car in here for service again. I will not buy my next Audi or Porsche from this dealership. read more

I dealt with this dealership on two separate occasions. The first was for service, where they quoted me positively outrageous numbers for a major repair. I was able to get the same repair done at a private shop in Denver for less than half the price, saving me literally thousands of dollars. The second time I dealt with this dealership was for a potential sale. While my sales rep was competent, attentive and friendly, the used car manager here repeatedly offered me insultingly low trade-in values for my vehicle, prompting me to flat out leave. I was able to get the trade-in value I felt was fair with much less hassle and rudeness from another dealership, and ultimately purchased the car I wanted for the right price, something Audi FoCo never came close to offering. My advice? Any of the other Audi dealerships nearby are better to purchase from, and I wouldn't even think of taking my Audi here for service...unless you're into throwing money away. read more

This has to be some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a VW dealership. Hottest day so far of the year and I'm literally there to pick up a sensor so my air conditioning will work. I walk in at 5:30 and the 5 people that are in the office look stare me and the receptionist says, "Oh... he just left. We're closed." I ask what time they close and they say, "5:30" I ask what time it is, and the guy behind the counter can't look at me and says, "5:30" They proceed to tell me that nobody can ring up the part that I have been emailing the parts guy about since yesterday. They all just kind of shrug and say nothing all awkward and crappy. And the part is literally in stock. Right there. Five people. Just sayin. This is literally why people go to Auto Zone. read more

Whilst mine is a unique and complex situation (relocating from CA to CO) nonetheless a caveat for any buyer. Having paid the amount agreed at the dealership, a week later I got an additional bill for $1666 from CA DMV - because of the difference in tax calculations. The dealer pointed out (correctly) that the fine print includes a clause that we are responsible for any additional taxes. OK. You got me. But a disclosure at the time of purchase would have killed that deal. read more

Hard place to purchase an Audi from. They do not take in the "human aspect" of purchasing a new vehicle. Typical dealers want to earn your business and this dealer definitely did not do that by any means. When challenged with an identical Audi from another dealer that was fairly priced(which I bought) they simply said no thank you we're good. I look for a dealer that is transparent about another buyer for the same car and honesty is key..not the case here. As I mentioned in the previous review, here's review Part II. In Part I review, I gave 5 stars for the service dept. This 1 star is for the sales dept. I am not giving 1 star just because I was upset. This is a fair judgement from my observation. I walked in the Porsche showroom while my Porsche 911 was being serviced. The sales professional was having a chat with a client. No problem. The client left and the sales professional glanced at me and went straight back to his desk. It would have been nice if I had received a simple greeting like " Hello ". There was absolutely no acknowledgment of me. Just because I am a woman and may look like an Asian fresh off the boat ? lol Unlike apple products, Porsche doesn't sell by itself. I was in the luxury high end retail business for a very long time and always knew that we can't judge anybody by their sex, race, age or how they dress. Women can buy and drive Porsche just like male Porsche enthusiasts. Just like Scotch is no longer men's drink. P.S. Here's a funny story. A woman working there mentioned about a Porsche owner whose her license plate is "WAS HiS". My license plate starts HER ..... That woman said to me " I like yours better " . She made me think that she assumed that I got the Porsche 911 from my ex husband through a divorce battle ?? I am not offended or angry, I just had to laugh lol I thought it was comical:) I just want to clarify that the Porsche is mine! I worked hard for that !! :) read more

Well, the maintenance repairs and promptness of said repairs was wonderful. However, I had washed my car only days prior and the remnants from my air filter were spread all over my floor mats and not vacuumed. I've had all maintenance done at VW dealers around the country and this was the first time my car was left like this. They were apologetic and offered a discount for my next service, but I won't return. read more

I came here for a rather specific headlight/electric glitch on vehicle, and was reminded why exactly I've been avoiding VW dealerships for the last 8 years. I was not updated on any progress and when I was, they misdiagnosed the problem as a burnt out headlight - even with my insistence. When they finally did pinpoint it, I was not explained my options, and was not even called when my vehicle was finished at the end of the day. Above all, I felt that there was an enormous barrier between me, the naive hander-over of keys, and the 'professionals' behind their elevated counter. When taking my car into Firestone Auto for an unrelated incident shortly after, I briefly mentioned the work Ed Carroll had completed. At the request of this mechanic, I showed him the invoice and was told that a rather expensive part replacement had been, without a doubt, unnecessary. I am repulsed every time I drive by this company. If you feel you must go to a VW dealer, go to the one in Greely. read more

The turnaround time on anything from an oil change to a major servicing was always impressive. The staff was always friendly and had a great sense of humor. I've purchased two cars from Ed Carroll VW now and I'm VERY impressed and satisfied. I've never felt as if they were trying to be slimy - as with anything, you have to do your homework. Look up Bluebook values and get the Carfax and a consumer reports guide on the pricing so you can negotiate down to the bare-bones cost of the car. But, having the data behind you, they are always willing to help you get exactly what you're looking for in a new or used car (I've purchased both). The sales people and service department both LOVE the cars they deal with - they know 'em inside and out, where the cars have been, where they came from, how they were built, little quirks about noises, timing, service requirements - and they're more than willing to share that knowledge with you. Hell, the salesman even went so far as to patiently teach me how to use a manual when I was looking at one - that's commitment and someone I'm going to go back to. I refuse to take my VW anywhere else - the service department always treats the car as if it were their Grandma's and they always return it washed. Having priced out many service options myself, I know that they consistently give me a good deal on service pricing. I'm able to get my car in for service when it's convenient for me, and I usually don't have to wait very long to get it back. I've dealt with some of the less reputable dealers in Fort Collins and Parker, I can honestly say that Ed Carroll ranks among the best car shopping and service experience you can have. read more

So very disappointed in our experience today. Went in, intending to buy a Q5. One of the three people at the computer stations at the front of the show room asked if we had an appointment. When we said "no," he paged "any available sales person." We waited 10 minutes. No one showed up. No one offered a chair or even a cup of coffee. Two young women were also there. One was wrapping fake presents for the Xmas display. Not sure what the other was doing. The young man who did the page never even made eye contact with us while we waited, standing in the show room. After an uncomfortable 10 minutes, we left and went to the BMW dealer (where we were greeted warmly) and test drove an X3. That will be our next vehicle. Terrible experience today at EC Audi. Went in looking for pre-owned A4, stood in show room for 10-15 minutes waiting for somebody to notice (along with 5-6 other people). Finally a guy sitting in one of the offices came out and asked if we needed help - we said yes - so he disappeared into the back (Porsche side) and emerged 10 minutes later with Trevor, the Porsche guy I gather, who seemed extremely disinterested in working with us (I guess if we can't afford a Porsche, we don't deserve the time of day from this dealership). We told Trevor what we were looking for, and he looked it up - we wandered out into the lot with little conversation and he found the car. He then said he'd have to go back in to get the keys and disappeared for another 15 minutes. We we left standing in the lot by ourselves, and felt disrespected so we decided to leave, but by the time we got back to the showroom he re-appeared with the keys so we looked at the car, then left. We are return customers for EC Audi, so we're surprised by the very inattentive and somewhat dismissive feeling we got from Trevor and the dealership. Even if I can't afford a f##**# Porsche, I expect better than that. We will go to Denver for our next car! read more

I have gone here numerous times this summer for my car and though the staff is very helpful it seems like I am making unnecessary trips here to get resolve. First of all this summer I came here to have a safety air bag light looked at in which they said they will have to reset which they did only to have the light come immediately back on after I got the car back which took all day(granted it was coming upon a holiday weekend). I am having a similar issue with the Catalitic Converter in which they did a reset only to have it come back on again. Luckily this is covered by a warranty and they will have to order a part though to get resolve, so all in all I am having to go in THREE times to get one thing fixed. With the safety air bag light it was the same story also, THREE times! I suppose the staff is doing all they can do but it still causes a great deal of frustration to make an excess of trips into the shop and give up my valuable time. read more

I left a message requesting a call back to discuss service to my 2001 Audi TT. I called back 30 minutes later and was on hold for five minutes​ before the receptionist said the service manager was with customers. Cost came in 1000 cheaper than European Motor Cars and was fixed in 12 hours. Even after moving to Colorado Springs 15 years ago, I still make the trek to Ft. Collins to buy and service my cars. A fews years back, my 99 Jetta TDI had a problem and it was mis-diagnosed the first time. After a quick call to the dealership, they came to pick up the car (in Colorado Springs!), took it back, fixed it and returned it the next day. These guys are great. I bought a transmission from them and had another shop install it. They called me about 10 minutes after I purchased it, and apologized for forgetting to give me a military discount and asked if I could come back. I went back and they had given me a 10% discount, which was very much appreciated. Very friendly staff. I took my car there for an inspection after the transmission was replaced, and the service technician that I talked to was really great. There was one minor problem when I went to pick up my car, they guy at the desk was really confused that I was picking up an Audi (not a VW) and ran around for probably 5 minutes trying to find my car. It all worked out fine in the end. read more
