We LOVE Mark's Feed Store! The staff is always very friendly and the barbecue is on point. The only drawback here is my kiddos sometimes don't eat their food. What a great place and the meal was delicious too. The meat was tender and fell off the bone and the sides were amazing. Waitress, Breanna, was very pleasant and friendly. Another lady who I believe was one of the owners or a manager stopped by to see how our meal was and told us to pick one of the (3) sauces to take home with us and she gave us a couple of slices of pies to go (All on the house). So not the first time we have been there. Got the ribs and they are fall off the bone. The sides need some help. I'm all about BBQ and southern food but get some vegetables. This new location is a worthy addition to the chain. The ribs were perfect and the wait short. It's located in an odd spot thanks to odd/confusing parking layout but otherwise it is a little stark inside. The staff are very very good indeed. Marks feed store is on point. The BBQ is very good and I particularly like their mustard based sauce. The fried pickles are also an excellent choice and they have some amazing red potato salad. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is good and the service is always friendly. If you are a fan of BBQ than this is a good place to stop. read more

Excellent customer svs. On tdy here for couple days and stopped by due to the good recommendations. They have free desert Mondays so always a plus. Also since the manager heard we have never been to one of these and we are just passing threw he gave us free sample bottles of their excellent bbq sause for the road. I love the veggie plate! It's really just your choice of 3 sides. My usual choices are beans, sweet potato fries & the pasta salad. The burgoo is tasty & comes with a corn muffin. If you have to wait for takeout, they offer a complimentary drink which is nice. One of the staff suggested I try the cornbread salad. It was good, will definitely order again. Delicious, pretty, clean pulled pork. I hate pulled pork with chunks of fat in it. They do a really nice job of pulling the pork clean. The flavor is just right. Not too smoky or charred. Not dry. Perfect. The sauces are great too. They don't overpower the meat. All the sides I've tried are wonderful, but the green beans are the best I've ever had. EVER! I was born and raised in the south. I know my green beans. The brisket and ribs were better than average and the sweet wings are good. The sweet tea is perfect. Not too sweet, or syrupy. Just right. The manager is determined to please and earn your business. The staff is friendly and polite. We're very picky about eating out, but Marks has passed our test. We will be ongoing patrons as long as the quality remains the same. I highly recommend the pickles too. Good BBQ is hard to find. Mark has a good thing going. read more

This is probably one of the best BBQ restaurants I've ever been to. This is our first time dining here since we are just visiting the area. I'm sad that I likely won't be able to come back. One day, down the road, we'll say "Remember that BBQ place we went to when we were in Kentucky? That was so yummy and the staff was so nice! I wish we had some BBQ like that right now." The food was delicious- we ordered quite a variety of things since we couldn't decide. None of it let us down. I highly recommend the honey wings, and the fried corn on the cob! I think they were my favorites. The service was excellent; they far surpass any restaurant I've been to lately. Friendly, efficient, and genuinely cater to the customer. They also seem to really be focused on the local community, which I love. If I am ever back in the area, I'll be heading to Mark's Feed Store again for sure! For St Patrick's Day I received an email stating that they were offering BBQ cheeseburgers for $6. With that incentive, my husband and I decided to try them out. Undoubtedly that was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten and my husband agreed. It was big, thick, cooked to perfection, not dry and extremely well seasoned. We got the deluxe which means it came with tomato and lettuce. It was fabulous. We like WW Cousins burgers, but lately feel that they are a bit "dry" but not so with this burger. We love the hamburger buns at WW Cousins and said that we wish this burger had been on a fresh baked bun from WW Cousins, then for sure, the burger couldn't have been beat! For the $6, it also included a side, which we both chose the cornbread salad. It was mainly lettuce--I would have been hard pressed to have gotten a teaspoon full of cornbread out of mine. Disappointed in that, but the flavor was good. Marks feed store will now become our "go to burger place"! I LOVE brisket and that would have been my first choice at a BBQ place, but now I'm going to have to rethink that...... read more

While traveling cross country, we decided to try this based on reviews. My wife and I had #1 combo with pork, brisket, wings and ribs that was recommended by our waitress, Shay. It was awesome, especially the ribs and brisket. The buttermilk pie is fantastic. Just get over the name and try it - super sweet with flaky crust. The service from Shay was outstanding and the rest of the staff was friendly and welcoming. It would be worth driving out of the way to eat here. read more

Outstanding. We are traveling in the area and were hooked by the promise of good "Bar-B-Que" and "comfort sides" - and we were not disappointed. If they had just brought out the food and completely left us alone, that would have been enough, but the service went above and beyond. Then a manager stopped by, pulled up a chair and chatted with us for a bit, letting us know how much he appreciated us trying them out. Warm, friendly, authentic. AND - the food was good. Good luck trying to figure out whether you want the brisket or the burger. They pride themselves on the burgers, and DANG - they are right. Our daughter wanted to go to a different restaurant, was cranky about going here (15 year old), and when she tasted her burger, informed us that we were forgiven. LOL. But my wife and I got the brisket, tried a bit of her burger and felt like the only way to resolve the conflict would be to order a burger after we were done with our brisket, but that was unrealistic. Could barely come close to finishing the generous portions. Had onion straws as app - yummy with great sauce. Sides were as good or better than promised. Sweet potato fries particularly good. Considering moving to the area so we can have it again... The manger mentioned this thing they have called "burgoo" - a regional dish. Wanted to get some but were too full. He insisted and brought a sample out for us to try. Damn Skippy. Now there's even another thing we have to order. It was amazing - great flavor, hearty rich. Mark's was great with Gluten-free options clearly marked. BBQ sauces each are unique to Mark's and each good in their own right. I liked the hot version, and left with a bottle. It is the best BBQ in Etown. If and when they have their special limited time food get it. The pork chops and turkey they had were fantastic. The owner is very responsive to any messages and comments and works hard to fix any problems that might occur. The only negative comment I have is no online ordering. I always get take out and have to either call in or sit and wait for the food. But as you sit and wait they offer free drinks, LOL. read more

This was my first time visiting Marks Feed. The place is very clean and the waitress and server are very professional and polite. I encounter a few problems with my food but my Waitress Autumn was so professional and nice. She ensures my stay was pleasant and comfortable. The manager came over and talked to me and I told him he has a great staff and I was very please of my service. He asked me if this was my first one here and I said yes, then he said he as going to give me a slice of pie nc it was my first time here. We were heading home from vacation and decided to stop at Mark's Feed Store. The BBQ and their original BBQ sauce was delicious. We had the brisket and the pork sandwiches and both sandwiches had great flavor and the meat was cooked well and juicy. Service was fantastic. Be sure to try the buttermilk pie. I ordered the number 1 which came with 4 meats and 2 sides (strings beans cooked with pork, baked apples, ribs, honey wings, pulled chicken, and brisket). I don't review things much because I am a restaurant manager and I don't like to lump one experience as what happens everyday. I brought my three kids out to eat with me and we had excellent food and very good service. Good enough it caught my attention. About a month later, my son asked to go there for his birthday. I took all three kids and my mom and dad this time. Again very good food and very good service. The waitress from a month earlier even recognized my daughter and said hi. The entire meal random employees would come tell him happy birthday making it a very nice experience. I am very impressed with this new location. read more
