    Prosciutto Paradisio $15
    Michelle C.

Had high hopes for this place, but sadly the prosciutto Paradisio fell flat. The prosciutto was really stringy and chewy and lacked tomato and mozzarella. The balsamic was tasty, but the amount was too small. I wish the bread was something more special than just a sub roll. They do have a really good deal on Monday for a buy one get one meatball sub. Husby said the meatballs were really delicious & tender. He's a fan of the sub roll. They were out of the lasagna, which I really wanted to try so I'll have to come back again and give it another go. The pizza & mozz sticks looks good as well.

Been wanting to try this spot for a while so I took advantage of the Tuesday pizza deal to grab lunch for my family on a work from home day. Called in my order at noon and picked up at 12:20 (quick service). The restaurant has a few spots to sit bar style if you want to grab a quick bite. Caesars pie is DELICIOUS, and the Roman style cheese hit the spot. Will absolutely be back to try other pizzas, and their viral chicken Caesar sub!

I kept seeing this place pop up on my TikTok about the Caesar sandwich and being a Caesar salad lover I had to come and give this a try ! The sandwich did not disappoint at all ! I love the fact that they put crispy chicken instead of grilled chicken and the meat to lettuce ratios was perfect for me ! I did need some extra dressing on the side tho but that is my personal preference, I like it a little saucier lol. I did also get their slice pizza and that was good too but my main purpose was the sandwich.

Tried the Roman style today after enjoying so many instagram posts. Was very disappointed. Crust and underside like a rock - very hard to eat. Must be for the under 60 set of teeth

A Hidden Gem in Wellesley…read more La Toscana's offers a lot more than its facade may suggest. Under the direction of a wonderful new chef, La Toscana's shows what elevated Italian cuisine can be like when care is emphasized from start to finish. We chose to have a milestone birthday celebration at La Toscana's because we had gone there a few weeks prior and were thoroughly impressed. We started the evening with a variety of appetizers including stuffed zucchini flowers, meatballs, and Caesar salads. The stuffed zucchini flowers were an instant favorite at the table-- hot, filled with rich, delicate ricotta, and crunchy on the outside. The meatballs were large, fluffy, perfectly seasoned, and accompanied by the elegant house marinara sauce. The Caesar salad was light and delicious with the welcome addition of sundried tomatoes. We then shared two excellent pizzas-- the margherita for the adults and a cheese for the kids. Both were notable for a crispy thin crust, perfect blend of sweet and tangy marinara, and perfectly balanced cheese. If this weren't great enough, the house-made pasta exceeded expectations. The chef makes the pasta daily and then creates the different types to order right before your very eyes-- in the window of the restaurant. With care and precision, he measures and cuts creating pappardelle, agnolotti, and tortello. Stand-out dishes at the table included the ricotta-filled agnolotti served with a decadent mushroom cream sauce. The pappardelle Bolognese was incredible with the perfect bite to the pasta and a flavorful and balanced meat sauce. The gnocchi with pesto creme is also another dish not to be missed. If you are fortunate enough to strike up a conversation with the chef, you will learn amazing insights into how he thinks about pasta and its preparation as well as his journey to Wellesley. It's a great story! We will certainly be coming back and hope to celebrate more great dinners at La Toscana's.

Perfectly whipped with the right amount of butter. Get them!! Everything on the menu looked so good it was hard to choose: - crab cakes had a really nice crust on the outside but I wasn't a fan of the shredded crab/stuffing inside. Lump crab would be so much better - we split the mussels which had a flavorful sauce and came with 2 pieces of dense grilled bread - calamari was okay - Love that they do half/full orders for the house made pastas. Shrimp limoncello was the standout out Love the decor and murals on the wall with the cool lighting and outdoor seating - high tops in the bar/low in the restaurant area - booths around the walls Lots of shared parking in Linden Square but it's usually pretty full.

"I've never taken the high road home The old low road seems…read moreto get me there fast" (John Mellancamp) Alta Strada translates into English as "High Road", and as I enjoyed a dinner there with our party of six, I'm very thankful that our road led us there. It's located on Wellesley's bustling Central Avenue, where you'll need to be lucky to grab a parking spot. You'll find a big parking lot behind Central Street to be much more convenient. It's an elegant higher end Italian restaurant with locations also in Fairfax, VA, Washington D.C., Logan Airport, and in Connecticut at Foxwoods Casino. Service was impeccable with numerous checkbacks and beverage refills. Our table started off with an excellent Garlic Bread appetizer with Spicy Tomato Basil Dipping Sauce ($12) and Nonna's Meatballs with Spicy Tomato Sauce, Ricotta, and Parmesan ($16). I really loved the meatballs! My wife and I split an Arugula Salad with Shaved Mushrooms, Truffles, and Parmesan cheese ($15). It was a large lightly dressed portion that was refreshing and very tasty. Believe me when I say that half a portion was plenty. I ordered an Allagash White and was surprised when it came out as a 16-ounce can and one of the coldest frosted Pilsner glasses I ever ran into ! My wife's entrée was Mama Zecca's Eggplant with San Marzano Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella, Parmesan, and a ton of Broccoli Aglio Olio ($29). I ordered the Fedelini Vongole with Manilla Clams, Cherry Tomatoes, Lemon and Parsley over pasta ($29), but a few minutes after I ordered it our server told us it has been sold out. That was the only demerit I saw with the service, I wish I'd have been told when I ordered. Instead, I pivoted to the Rigatoni alla Buttera with Italian Fennel Sausage, Fresh Peas, and Creamy Tomato Sauce over pasta ($29). Fantastic! The two children in our party went with an Individual 6 Slice 12" Cheese Pizza 12" ($17) and side orders of Grilled Chicken Breast ($12) and Grilled Shrimp ($13). When we walked in for our early dinner, Alta Strada wasn't too crowded. By the time we left, it was pretty much jam packed. We had an excellent experience.

We read the reviews regarding bad customer service and the way they treat their employees and child customers so decided to order takeout. My son has significant allergies so I ordered a plain burger with nothing on it-Mgehan took my order. When we picked up the food and got it home, the burger was slathered with melted cheese and grilled onions/peppers. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with Ella and request requested either credit or a replacement dish. She spoke with the manager/owner, Zee who said that they could make another burger and we could come and pick it up in 20 minutes, but we would be charged the full amount even though it was their fault. I said that's not acceptable and I would be happy to return the food and they could credit me or replace it, but she said no. I told her that I would dispute the charge with AMEX and she said go right ahead. AMEX will handle this now. This is not the customer service you expect when you're paying with your heart earned cash. Wonder what they would have done if we were actually eating there and they brought the wrong food to our table? Stay away from this restaurant if you value your money and respect your dignity. Obviously, we will not be returning and will warn our friends. Update: Just wanted to give a quick update regarding my post. Zee, the owner/manager of the restaurant, called me today as he read my post online. He apologized profusely for the miscommunication and confusion regarding our order and wanted to make it right. He offered me a full credit for the meal. I swung by the restaurant today to meet with him personally and he was again apologetic. He issued me a gift card above and beyond the value of our entire meal. I encouraged him to read the reviews posted and address them for the benefit of his restaurant, customers, and staff. Wanted to let you all know that we can make a difference and appreciate all the input. Cheers!
