I first took it to my local Ford dealership and asked them to check the car out and fix what needed fixing, the end result was very unsatisfactory leading to losing trust in their mechanics. I next took my Edge to a Christian Brothers auto shop in my area with the hopes of finding a trustworthy replacement for the Ford dealership. Strike Two!!! they tried to replace a part that Ford had already done . Bottom line , they tried to rip me off!!! I caught it and confronted their management. They won't get any more business from me. Moving forward to February 2026-My car started to experience front end suspension noises, AGAIN! (Ford fixed it-so I thought). I needed to find another shop that won't rip off the customer. Reputation is key! My search commenced and I found a local shop near me called "The Noble Mechanic" - (Reputation is key) I made an appointment and was assigned to service adviser Andrew. I told him my story and asked to have my car totally diagnosed and checked over again. I needed peace of mind on all previous work that was supposedly done that I was charged for. I stressed that I'm looking for a new shop to bring my family's business to. I received my car health report and was informed that the Ford dealership used NON-OEM third party parts when they repaired my front suspension. These were bad parts that didn't fit correctly and were failing. Adviser Andrew then provided options for me to consider and suggested the correct OEM equivalents over original OEM to save me $$$$. Overall, Their total car check and diagnosis is very detailed with pictures and the communication walkthrough is done with patience and clarity not rudeness and short answers. Although, I would like to see their labor rate charge of ($137.43 hr.) fully disclosed on invoices/bills (Had to ask Andrew for it) may be higher than other shops, but please consider this, you WANT a shop who employs highly trained and experienced mechanics who love cars and will NOT cut corners when repairing it. Reputation is key!!! Reviews count!! Thank you Andrew and your great team of mechanics for their work. The Noble Mechanic has earned our business going forward.

Just got home and the brakes are like new. I am convinced these folks are the best most honest folks in the business. We'd received a quote of…read more$280 from another shop to refill the freon and we suspect that something is leaking because it's not supposed to be warm. We had a fuel solenoid that was intermittently going bad and causing a service light to go off, I had ordered the part but was afraid to put it on myself. It was on the dashboard in a box marked "fuel solenoid" and I forgot to ask about it when the car was taken in for service. After a little while, the mechanic came in and asked us if we wanted the fuel solenoid installed since we had the right part in the vehicle. We were like, absolutely, and they put it right in. Our months of the service light coming on and off have been resolved and our AC is recharged for less than $90! The freon used who indicate a leak that will be exposed with UV dye in the freon if the air gets warm again. This is the second time that Dave's has cost less and done more than other shops for our vehicles. I think that Dave has a mother or a wife or sisters that he respects and appreciates because I have never felt like I was being taken advantage of as some shops do to women. Dave's Auto is prompt, quick, and honest!
