Came back to the Tampa area and had to stop at MOBS again. Got there Saturday morning a little after 8am opening. Seating area was a little more banged up than I recall otherwise everything seemed the same. One other customer had ordered and was waiting, two guys working; the one taking orders was very pleasant. I ordered the number 3, 4 and 8 for our family. Plus some potato wedges. Great tasting sandwiches and spuds. Took about ten minutes from order to readiness. Still a five star experience. We saw Marlene's and decided to try out for breakfast. The outside is very unique for a food truck and they do have a few tables and chairs where you can eat. When we got there they had people in line and waiting on their orders. The guy who took our order was very friendly. I ordered a #2 The Uncle which is a fried egg, turkey sausage, Munster cheese, spicy artichoke dip, crispy jalapeños on a Cuban breakfast roll. The sandwich was huge and delicious. I am not sure how I never noticed this place, but as I always say "thank God for Yelp!" I took a break from the hospital to break my fast with a sandwich from Marlene's. She has carved out a nice space for her truck and decorated with with some character. She was really nice and had the type of personality you want to encounter in the morning to get you going. After a quick glance over the menu I decided on the fully loaded. I must've been a little tired because I didn't notice the onions when I read the description but boy were they a nice surprise! I was looking for something simple that an average fast food restaurant could not offer . I found this spot on google and after reading the reviews I thought it might be a great choice. Upon arrival I initially ask for egg and cheese on a croissant . The man behind the counter offered meat . I told him I didn't eat pork and don't care for beef . He said they had turkey patties. So I agreed to add that to my sandwich. The sandwich itself was hot and fresh , it was spicier than I expected but I still ate it . With all being said I've been sick since I ate the sandwich itself. It's 3am, I consumed the sandwich yesterday around 9am and I still feel sick with a terrible headache that hasn't been alleviated by the regular otc meds. And I can only assume this guy feed me pork or rancid meat . For no reason should I still be feeling like crap when that's the only thing I've eaten in the last 24hrs . My only proof of purchase is the bank charge because I didn't think to take a photo of the actual sandwich. We stopped by Marlene's on the way out of town for our road trip. They offer some great breakfast sandwiches, so we had to check them out. This spot is essentially a permanent food truck. They offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches and coffee. They do have a seating area, but most of the food we saw them serve was to go. We walked up to the window and looked over their offerings. I decided to go with a fully loaded sandwich on a croissant rather than the standard Cuban bread. My buddy went with the Special. We grabbed a seat while we waited for our order. The food came up quickly and looked good. The fully loaded sandwich was tasty. It had egg, sausage, bacon, onion, cheese and a maple drizzle. My buddies Special looked amazing. This place is amazing! It's a permanent food truck off of Dale Mabry. The breakfast sandwiches are great...I had the Basic (egg, bacon, and cheese on a croissant) and a side of potato wedges. Nothing too fancy, just a food truck with a small outdoor seating area wafting out good smells galore. I have no idea what's in the OG Marlene sauce, but the #1 was soooo good with it! Spinach, ham, cheese and sauce on a croissant - what more could you ever need? Boyfriend got the Basic (bacon egg and cheese) and it was so good too! Had I not pulled over I never would have seen it. It's located in a parking lot along with two other food trucks. The surroundings are a bit dark and not really noticeable from the busy street if you're not looking for it. There was only one other customer in line ahead of me so my order of The Basic was placed and received very quickly. The Basic, which was not listed on the main menu board, is made up of a croissant with bacon, cracked egg and american cheese. That's all I needed for a first visit. My sandwich was delicious, the bacon was perfectly cooked to my liking, super crispy, not pink and floppy. NOTE: They do have outdoor tables for diners. read more

I pass by Marlene's every morning on my way to work, at 5:45am. I was finally able to step out of the office to check this place out! Let me first start by saying the customer service is incredible! Both gentlemen working there couldn't have been more friendly. The cook saw I had my handsome dog with me and offered a few pieces of bacon for a treat. My dog, Bobby D, barked with approval, from the car. The sandwiches are huge!!! I ordered the #1 and #2. They were both really tasty, but a little on the greasy and heavy side for me. The jalapeño crisps were a nice little spicy touch on the #2, and the spinach basil combo on the #1 were delicious. This spot would be a go to for me after a night out on the town as a hangover cure. I really really want to give this place more stars, but I simply can not. First, I'd like to clap for the "text to order" process... I love that. It seems they get pretty busy, my two sandwiches were ready when I arrived. You will receive a confirmation text once you text over your order. I love the decor, it's super cute and rustic. They offer buddy brew coffee, only two syrup flavors: sugar free vanilla (eh) + caramel. There's not much parking, but it's easy to make do. I ordered the Scramble (the number 6): Scramble eggs, zesty sauce, chives and cilantro, baby spinach, and cheddar cheese on a croissant (I added grilled onions)! It had potential to be pretty amazing and was very appealing but being that I ordered a sandwich purposely because it had no meat on it, I was very upset(my stomach included) and slightly disgusted with the taste of beef and pork mixture lingering in my sandwich. I'm not sure if the reasoning for that was cooking on a not so clean surface or if they use the same grease for all the sandwiches... but was very distasteful. I tried to fight threw it because I really looked forward to trying this place but my stomach had other plans. If you are vegetarian or do not eat and are sensitive to eat pork /beef, or just don't want your egg sandwich tasting like meat, I would not suggest this place. If you order a meat sandwich, you may not even notice... I won't be back because of this, very dangerous territory that are in with that happening. I hope they look into this. I was starving and found this place after reading all the Yelp reviews. They are all true! This place is amazing! I ordered "The Special" breakfast sandwich and I'm still thinking about it 4 days later. I especially enjoyed the cold brew coffee.
