Well I only came to this plate because in their menu show they had a montecristo sandwich, one of my favorites , when I ordered, waiter told me they took it out of the menu , but was still in their menu , so big disappointment. So you're looking for a breakfast place. Not very many in South Tampa. We went to Pach's' when they were on Bayshore. Now, they are relocated off Dale Mabry (easy to get to) but the building they are located in is under construction. So, don't go for ambiance now. Food, exactly what you would expect. This is a great place at/attached to the Tahitian Inn (which seemed unconstruction or closed when we arrived). Parking was pretty close in a small few spots off the street. This is a cute dinner that's clearly been there a long time but it's clean and fresh. And the food! Very good! I would 100% go here again and I'm so glad we tried it out when meeting up with a friend from out of town. Cheerful Service, Middlin' Food Pach's Place is located in the Tahitian Inn, which is undergoing a major renovation, so it's in the middle of a construction site. Once inside, however, the atmosphere is pleasant. My server was very cheerful and pleasant. My only quibble was a nearby table occupied by a loud party constantly dropping f-bombs. I chose not to complain, but I think the restaurant should have taken some action. For my breakfast I ordered a ham steak breakfast. The ham steak was delicious. The rest of the meal--not so much. The scrambled eggs were bland and flat. The grits were the right consistency but tasted bland, bland, bland. Lots of butter and salt and pepper helped but not enough. The biscuit was probably baked by the restaurant but would have been much better if cut in half and put on the grill for a while. It's in the back of a hotel parking lot. When I arrived The place had plenty of people seated a bunch of large groups. I sat at the countertop and they took the order almost immediately. I had French toast it was tasty, coffee was good. Solid place for breakfast old coffee shop vibe. read more

Pachs Place has been serving our community since the early 80's . It has a huge following. It opens early, 6:00 a.m, and closes at 2:30 p.m. It offers a diner style atmosphere and has a beautifully landscaped outdoor patio with a waterfall. They have a basic simple menu for breakfast and lunch. In all these years I have only ever ordered the eggs benedict, burger or ybor salad . In my opinion it's an average restaurant, offering average food with average service. They are doing something right though. read more

Convenient and close, great little diner! Been twice, and busy each time. You can tell by the staff interactions with customers they get a lot of repeats. Asked our server and she says 95 percent are local, not guests from the hotel. Says a lot! Staff is very friendly. They make you feel at home. Lots of stoical diner breakfast and lunch options. Noting has really stood out as "OMG!!! That was good" but I actually like the consistency. Pull up a chair, get some coffee or fresh squeezed ok. Oh, I lied... OMG!! The food was spot on and the bill was very reasonable. The corned beef hash was just what I hoped it would be and the eggs over easy were cooked perfectly. Our waiter promptly took our order. Eventually, someone else delivered some of the things we ordered. We patiently waited for our waiter to return with some of our brunch items but they never arrived. We also never received coffee or water refills. When we asked the management, they let us know our server clocked out without letting anyone know. We were not given an apology or bill correction. Instead, the cashier and other wait staff told us repeatedly that he should not have clocked out without letting another server know. Enough, I get that and totally agree. Packs Place Restaurant came highly recommended so I thought that I would give them a go. The staff was super friendly and I was seated quickly. The menu is pretty straightforward so I ordered my favorites...blueberry pancakes with sausage and an everything omelet. The omelet came out round and didn't look as appealing as most restaurants but it was over the top delicious!!! I was so incredibly surprised by the flavor and will order it often. The pancakes were also very good and the sausage was kind of mushy in the center. This restaurant is following Covid restrictions. It's nestled in the back lobby of the Tahitian Inn so it can easily be missed if you're not familiar with the area. They have a seat yourself concept and it was rather packed at 8am on a weekend. Service was fast and friendly and food arrived within 5-10 minutes of ordering. There's a large variety on their breakfast menus from pancakes, French toast, platters, and omelets. Communication between the wait staff is horrible. I recognize that I am a single diner, but I was seated by the older Asian woman inside who seemed very sweet. One of the two top tables had leftover drinks and food on it the entire time I was here, which was at least 15 to 20 minutes. I wasn't seated in that section because it hadn't been bussed, she had me sit at the five top table at the end. Where I waited and waited and waited, and no one acknowledged me not either of the waitresses. The one who's section I seemed to be in even acknowledged a group of three older adults and said that she would be right with them, without even looking in my direction. Another older couple was seated in what I believe to be the other waitresses section and were served beverages before I was even greeted by a waitress. Obviously, I can't say how the food was but the service was trash so I left. No one should have to wait 15 to 20 minutes to even be acknowledged after being seated. read more

My father and I needed a place to hang out at 6am while my mother was having a medical procedure, so I looked for a breakfast spot, this is the only one I found open at the crack of dawn. I'm so glad we found it and didn't have to go to McDonald's! I ordered the eggs Florentine with crispy hash browns and a side of bacon. Dad had a western omelette with potatoes and rye toast. Everything was delicious and the portions were plentiful. Our waitress was very friendly and happy to see her regulars.
