My girlfriend us from Long Island NY. She has been wanting to try this place for a while since she hasn't been able to find a BEC that comes close to what she used to have in New York. Her verdict was the that the BEC was excellent! I had the same sandwich minus the bacon and it was fantastic too. Service was friendly, helpful and speedy. Can't wait to return and try other items on the menu. They have a very small outdoor dining area that is covered. Maybe 5-6 tables. It's nice but I'm sure it gets a bit warm during the summer. Parking can be an issue. I would advise to not parking at the lot right next to the place unless you're going to be downtown for a bit. Best to find much cheaper street parking. read more

Because I was born and raised on Long Island, I've been on a quest to find the best BEC in the area. We had heard a lot about this place, but going over the bridge for a breakfast sandwich ... we just kept putting it off. My only gripe is that if you want to sit and enjoy your sandwich, parking in the nearby lot costs over $12. I'm sure there are ways around it, but we just rushed in as soon as we saw the signage. I ordered the BEC, and my fiancé had an egg and cheese. It's crazy, but even the iced coffee tasted like home, which makes no sense. Service is no-nonsense, which again is like home. This place is such a great find! We walked here from our hotel and it was the perfect place to get a breakfast sandwich. I got a sausage, egg, & cheese on a Kaiser roll and it was amazing - the roll was perfectly soft and warm and the sausage, egg, and cheese all went together perfectly. My husband got a ham & cheese on a Kaiser roll and it was also excellent (and came with a healthy number of fries), but they forgot his sauce on the side and he was a little bummed about it - but he said his sandwich was really good without it too. I was really excited to try out this place after lots of hype from friends and colleagues but I'm sad to say I highly underwhelmed. Now don't get me wrong I understand I'm just getting a basic breakfast sandwich (I ordered the turkey bacon, egg and cheese) but the bacon was soooo skimp. Like 1.5 MAYBE 2 pieces. My food did come out hot and when I was ordering on the kiosk the gentleman came to the window to see if I needed help ordering so that was nice, but for $11.50, the sandwich was truly not worth the price. No matter if you go to the location in Tampa or Brandon, you still get one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the area. We visited their downtown location after walking on Bayshore Blvd. Parking can be a little tricky if you can find some close by which we got lucky enough to get a spot up front. They have the same lineup as the Brandon location & Ordering was a breeze and we probably only waited 10 minutes for our food and drinks to come out. Now there is limited seating so we did wait until a couple got up so we could sit down and enjoy our food which was delicious. read more

Literally the only thing that reminds me of NYC rolls. I was literally transported out of my body and back to Brooklyn, and I have this place to thank. I've tried one other place around here with "NY rolls", but they tasted a little too flat somehow. This was PERFECT. I got the BEC with ketchup and also added a hash brown just for the heck of it. Your choices are pay $15 to park in the lot where this food truck is located, or park on the street where a waiting city cop is dying to give you a ticket. Yes even on a weekend. Exhibit 2: A bacon egg and cheese sandwich cost me $14, which is about double what it would cost in the middle of Manhattan. Exhibit 3: The best thing about the actual $14 sandwich was the eggs. Nicely fried; but it doesn't take a genius to learn how to fry an egg. The kaiser roll was the kind of cheap crap "bread" GARBAGE you would buy at Save-a-Lot. Speaking of cheap, the bacon was cheap ass bacon that was BEYOND SALTY. (We all know the saltier the bacon is, the cheaper the quality is.) The American cheese, well, that is what it is. And finally, Exhibit 4: Does it really need to take TWENTY MINUTES to make a bacon-egg-cheese on a Sunday? It's not like there was a line of ppl ordering (LOL I know why now!). Finally made it out to BEC to see what all the hype was about. I have to say the hungry man was definitely the best of the two items. We got the Bacon egg and cheese with no ketchup and then the hungry man. The BEC was ok, It wasn't anything to exciting. Food came out pretty quick but you'll have to get it to-go because it's just a food truck in a parking lot, so no places to sit. As a born and raised New Yorker I was hype to hear there was NY style coffee and chopped cheese. My wife tried the food here once and said it was good so we went back. Idk if it was a different cook or just having a bad day but when we tried it we were not pleased at all. Coffee mid and the sandwich had no seasonings or nothing.
