Let's get one thing out of the way: the owner is not a man who murdered his wife. That guy was awarded a license for a second store eight years ago...a store that never opened. His son, who was seven at the time, is the co-owner of ICC. Maybe they're a bit pricier than some other shops, but they also don't allow tipping the budtenders. When I factor that in, they become real price competitive, real fast. To the "get out of my face you loser-know-nothing-I'm-browsing-and-know-more-than-you" kinds of bizarre comments: wow. Just wow. I've worked in retail sales and there's always a balance--and they pretty much nail it. They politely and gently ask if you have questions and if you say no, they walk away. Bitching about quality of product? They have pretty much the same brands as all the other stores. Poorly rolled pre-roll? That's the producer's fault, not ICC, and it's absurd to ding them for that. They literally can't open the packaging to check to see how tightly the joint is rolled. There are budtenders who've been there for years and know product inside and out. And newer ones who will ask their more experienced co-workers questions if they don't have the answer. I've never been steered wrong, as I have at other shops. As for entry and ID requirements, they're the strictest of any shop I've seen. They got a ding early on and, if they got a second one within a certain time period, they'd be shut down. Closed. Put out of business. The ID check is quick, easy, 100% consistent, a perfectly sensible business decision. I agree that it's very weird that they wouldn't accept a passport or some other forms of ID. I'm going to ask they next time I'm there if that's the policy. Maybe this isn't the shop for people spending 100s of dollars every week (really? I can't get my head around that). Maybe there are shops with more consistent budtenders, or lower prices (don't forget the no-tip policy!), or better sales, or... I'll keep coming here gladly.

As a weekly customer for several years, I wanted to speak to a few negative reviews. Firstly, they do scan your DL. It's a WA State Liquor and Cannabis Board requirement, not a personal attack. The city of Issaquah is insanely strict about weed shop regulations, too. Secondly, if you read their website, their ID policies are clear. Leaving a 1 or 2 star review for that is silly. Yes, this place is a pricier shop. If you look on their website before you go, their prices are clearly listed.

I love this store because it is only 2 miles from us, which is much closer than any other MJ store. I am 50-years a stoner. I have been a customer of this store for over 2 years. At first it was Covington Medical Marijuana Dispensary and sold solely to MMJ patients, of which I am one. This year Washington State required all MMJ dispensaries to either close or go retail. The store closed for over a month while getting their retail certification and remodelling. They reopened as Marley 420 selling to the public (age 21 or older with valid picture ID), offering discounts and special products for licensed MMJ patients only. Since MJ went legal, many vendors are offering new products. This has resulted in price drops and a continuous new selection of products. The store has a high turnover in sales staff, hence the knowledgeability of your salesperson may not be adequate. Ideally, the store should have a resident expert on the staff. Since they don't, you may need to study the products before you make a purchase choice. . I am sorry to see so many bad reviews for this store. I shop there often and have had only one disappointing experience when they changed their daily special without notification. The only daily special they currently honor is an extra discount for licensed medical patients on Sundays. I will be disappointed if that ends. I think this is a great joint (pun intended) and I recommend it. I suggest you check it out. Take your time browsing the products. When you find something of interest but the staff cannot answer your questions to your satisfaction, I suggest you Google it or ask a knowledgeable acquaintance. This is, after all, a retail store. Would you ask a sales person at a grocery store for recommendations on liquor purchases? Would you expect to get a knowledgeable answer? The sales staff at Marley 420 probably has a lot more experience with their products than a grocery clerk selling booze. You be the judge. read more

I've shopped in more than 28 stores in Washington state and every time I shop here the budtenders are so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Tawnya (she was my neighbor 15 years ago). One of the newer budtenders, Brandon is so knowledgeable. You can ask him almost anything about marijuana and he most likely will have an solid answer. He should have his own blog called"Stump The Budtender", LOL!!! I mostly smoke infused joints and dabs. This place has infused joints for $5 and full gram dabs for $10!!! Good luck trying to find these prices elsewhere in the state. Its no surprise this store is always so busy, they have more variety of product than any other store I've shopped. I'm really glad they added a parking lot attendant, marked the parking spots with bright orange paint, and took the rock pile out of the middle of the lot. Makes getting in and out easier. Too bad they cant lease the storage lot behind the store to add more parking, but I'm not complaining, cuz today, the lot was so full that I had to wait a few extra minutes for a spot to park. The parking attendant offered me a discount for the inconvenience. AWESOME! Totally wasn't expecting that. Woot! Woot! The discount allowed me to buy a new pipe and a two glass dab sticks. Budtenders when hired at Marley 420 work 5 trial days to see if they are a fit. Some are a fit and know the product study the product so they can truly help customers to the fullest. Others unfortunately don't ever catch on.. Those ones aren't permanently hired SOME Applicants say that they worked at another weed store and when you check their reference after a couple days you find out they weren't exactly honest.... the manager's give you a personal trainer for several days and some still can't seem to remember anything. it's not fair to the customers so you have to let them go..... Then those employees (in training) are unhappy and they leave nasty reviews.... I work at Marley for a couple years... The bud tenders don't mind helping the newbies.... But some newbie's just don't Put an effort in to trying to learn, So we ask the manager to let them go. We can't be helping our own customers IF WE SPEND THE whole time helping them...... We have several medical patients that need to be told the right product to buy and cannot have employees that aren't willing to take the extra step to learn so they can work here... I read the review left by Alec and it made me laugh. I am a medical patient and have been going to Marley 420 for 4 years. I remember you Alec, your dad owns a business and won't let you work for him. You worked at Mr. Bills and they got rid of you. I had you for a budtender and complained about you because you tried to sell me the Sativa after I told you I can't smoke any Sativa strain. Alec you don't know enough to work in a medical store and Marley 420 started out in 2010 as a medical store. You need knowledge and THAT you can't fake at customer's expense. The owner knows this and keeps the budtenders that are qualified. You must have lost your current job and feeling vindictive to leave lies. As customers we all know the truth, we can read through the minds of the unhappy minds that are let go because of their are unhappy souls. for your information there are equal men to women working in that store if not more men because men work the parking lot and security..... I've been coming here for a while and after recently getting married my wife ( who is also a medical patient) comes with me. Let me first address other reviews, since you can't go by what some unintelligible people write . First let me say that parking is not the best and the place is small with that being said they have 99% more product than most the stores out there and their budtenders are knowledgeable and efficient and if you go up the street flip a u turn and come back odds are the parking lot will be cleared out. They have a wide selection of products some of the cheapest around. They are also medically endorsed and give numerical discounts, they have a wide selection of CBD and medical products. Their staff is very very very knowledgeable they have always treated me with respect and dignity. Me and my wife have been coming here for awhile and you don't have to worry about some teenager that has no idea about what they're talking about. Or somebody that constantly tries to upsell you to increase their sales one of the reasons we continue to come here is because we never feel like the staff is pushy they're always able to answer our questions and many many many more positive reasons read more

Covington Holistic Medicine is one of the few good MMJ dispensaries/ co-ops in south king. They are rather new (the first time I went in was around five months ago, and they had started operating about a month prior), but that is not any indication of the type of service you receive when you come in the door. The entire staff is friendly and eager to help you find exactly what you're looking for. CHM is well established and has a wide selection of medicine, ranging from popular strains such as green crack or l.a. confidential, to even having medicated bath salts/beads. They also have pretty good medicated suckers. there's no membership fee when you first go and they even take your picture to give you a cool little id membership card. (they also gave me a tasty edible for being a first time member). If you are ever in south king or even if you aren't, Covington Holistic Medicine is the place to go if you want quality medicine and fantastic service. read more

So I just got my medical marijuana authorization last week at holistic evaluations. I was referred to a few recreational stores with medical endorsements in my area and lucky for me I live very close to Marley 420. I went in right after my appointment so I could be entered into the database. The owner Colleen helped me with entering into the database. She then pointing me in the right direction of which medicine might work best for me and my needs. I left there with some great cbd products to try out. So far I have enjoyed everything I got. Since I'm a medical patient I got 10% off and Colleen informed with me that if I came back on Sundays I would get about 19% off. So that's just what I did, went back on Sunday and indulged in a La Cubano cigar eight inches long!! 19% off! I. Love. This. Place. They have good deals, good bud and if you need more help and ASK FOR IT, they dont rush you and are willing to help out. But i noticed a lot of people leaving bad reviews for no good reason. My only complaint is the parking space and line space. Besides that this place is filled with kind funny people all willing to help cause its their job. I saw someone complain about how security scans your id at the door. But like why?????? They all do!!!! Its common at almost ALL WEED shops now cause theres hella fake ids out there.... Use ur head and grow up. I just read the review from the racist discriminating individual and I find it disgusting. There are more then, a 120 different languages spoken in the king county area. I know who you were talking about, and she speaks fantastic english. Maybe you just had a problem describing what you actually wanted, because you're filled with hatred towards hispanics. I have been to my fair share of weed stores, Marley 420 has a certian charm to it for me. It is not the prettiest, nor is it the biggest. On the outside it looks like a House that you may have gone to cop some smoke from the neigbhborhood weed dealer. On the inside it is small but i assume Marley 420 chooses to have a lower rent so they can have a product that is priced right and a much wider selection of product that crosses all price area's. Me am a pot head from cali and old school at that. Look and smell is all i know, the budtenders at Marley 420 has never not answered a question, including when it is busy a hell and i have a few questions. They have always been very helpful. This is the best location and by far had the cheapest prices. I read some of the other reviews and it sounds ore like a rival store that doesn't like the competition. The people at Marley's are by far have the most knowledge for medical patients where other stores don't care to get there medical endorsement. Obviously to much trouble. I asked the owner of Marley's what it took and when she told me they actually had to take a class at Seattle central college at 500 dollars per employee to get a medical consulting certificate. Then I was informed that she had paid for 6 employees to get it...that is dedication to the medical industry. So no its not obviouly all about the money. Great place and people that care read more

I've been going to this store since it was Medical Only. I was bummed when they had to close last year to transition into a recreational store. I didn't know if they were going to be like so many other medical stores that closed and never reopened their doors again. I'm so glad they survived the I-502 storm in Washington. The store may be small, but they have a huge selection and can meet any budget. Also, they still carry medical products that I can't find in other stores who claim to service medical patients. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and on Sundays this store gives its medical patients an extra 10% off. I'd give it 5 stars if the parking lot was paved. read more

PLEASE DONT BELIEVE EVERY REVIEW THAT YOU READ...My opinion would be to check out the store for yourself...I've been shopping at Marley 420 for a couple years now, and I love the staff there.. The prices are the best around in my opinion. Every time I go there i am never rushed out the door. it doesn't matter how extremely busy they are. they always take their time with me and listen to what I have to say. Every time I have walked in to Marley's since turning 21 I have always felt so welcome. The security and ID checkers are so kind and the Budtenders are knowledgeable and so sweet, I had the absolute pleasure meeting the owner today and my god an angel on this earth. I came in to exchange a disposable and she personally helped me and solidified my loyalty to this dispensary. I am a senior citizen and I been going Marley 420 since 2010 when they were just Medical. The reason I keep going is because of special discounts given to Seniors, veterans, and Medical Patients. Most staff have been there 2 plus years and know what I like and call me by my name. I have known the owners since they opened in 2010 for Medical. Both are respectful and kind just like the staff. Prices are the lowest from Seattle to Tacoma. They are not a store that raises the price to put it on SALE!!!! read more

Staff are super friendly. They will take the time to talk to you about product, show you the sales, and make suggestions. Marley's wont add on items when you order online and are happily switch things out if you made an accidental purchase or don't like the product you've ordered. I've worked here for almost a year and can say hands down one of my favorite dispos to be at/work at. Friendly budtenders always knowing what products to give our customers. Even on our hard days we always give a smile. The owner herself truly is a hard working woman who trys her best to do right by her employee's. Its not an easy job. Retail is retail.
