    Salad, Pizza

Just got off the Vaporetto to Murano and saw this quaint place for lunch. Authentic pizzas, sausage and prosciutto, fritta calamari and a salad. Complete with a Macchiato. Reasonably priced at €12 pizza, €15 calamari, €5 salad and vinos at ~ €6, Macchiato € 2.50 ppl with friendly servers!! Ciao!

    The cheerful service.

Excellent light lunch selection. Two pizzas (margherita and funghi), insalata caprese and a couple of beers made a wonderful pause for a day looking at glass in Murano. Recommend this place for a quick bite with children. The service was quick and friendly.

Staying on Murano instead of in Venice turned out to be an incredible experience. Venice is great,…read morebut getting out of the crowd was such a relief at the end of the day, and part of the wonder of Murano is Versus Meridianem! This quaint, understated INCREDIBLE restaurant is located on the water, at the end of a quiet street in a quiet part of town on this quiet tranquil island. This whole island feels local, not touristy. And that is probably because it is local. This is where a lot of the locals live. And that feeling extends into this restaurant. The entire outdoor courtyard when we arrived was filled with a large family, who must've been from the island, as there was about 40 of them. It looked like the matrons birthday. Celebrating. Eating, laughing and dancing. Drinking wine of course. I wanted to join them! We had reservations and were seated inside at the window, so we could watch the sunset. It was perfect, from the appetizers, to the entrees and wine. I ate more than my share and drank so much incredible wine I was glad we were walking only a short distance back to the hotel. When we left over an hour later, the family in the courtyard was still there. I regret not bringing over a bottle of wine and joining them! I remember loving every morsel I ate and the wine wasn't extravagant, but it was excellent! Definitely worth the boat ride if you're staying in Venice. If you're on Murano, I'm jealous, I wish I was there! Definitely get a table.

It has big and pretty amazing Murano glass chandeliers which are the perfect center piece of the dining room. The huge floor to ceiling windows make it nice and bright. I had the vegetable soup which was delicious and did my unsettled stomach a world of good. Hubby had the prongs and zucchini pesto pasta (which he shared with me) Oh lord, it was so good! And we shared a prosciutto ham pizza. It was one of rhw best I have had on this trip. Because I was a little queasy for some reason, I didn't have any wine but they have a great variety. They weren't too busy, which I didn't get because the view alone is worth it, and their prices are very comparable to everywhere else we have been. Service is typical Italian, they take your order, ring it and leave you alone until you are ready. Great place!

I had the pepperoni pizza and the artichoke pizza (only 1€ each!!) I also ordered the "mini" ( I guess that's considered a small bc a "maxi" is considered a large) margherita pizza. Not as good and missing the trademark basil that could have made it better. Also the margherita was supposed to be thin crust but wasn't crispy at all... Kind of limp bit it was only 3.50€ so no biggie. This is definitely a step up from the ubiquitous "to-go" pizza slice traps you see all over Venice that serves sub-par pizza catering to exhausted tourists who don't know better. My tip is just go for the cheapie 1€ slices. They have lots of combos... Zucchini, sausage, garlic marinara, potato (yes, it's like thin sliced potato chips on a pizza! Drool!), etc... Come hungry and come early bc they can get busy. Hours: 11am- 2pm, then 5pm-9pm
