What impressed me most was the level of organization and care: - professional front office management - clear communication - detailed inspection process - clean and professional environment - respectful customer service They performed my Porsche oil service for nearly half of what I was previously quoted elsewhere, without sacrificing quality. They also completed a thorough inspection report covering the vehicle bumper-to-bumper, identified a small oil seep issue, and even pointed out that my tires were older and should be considered for replacement for safety reasons. You can tell this shop genuinely cares about both the vehicle and the customer. Even the small touches stood out -- coffee, hospitality, clear explanations, and follow-up communication. Although they were originally known for Mercedes vehicles, they now service many European brands including Porsche and BMW, and the shop was full of high-end vehicles when I visited. How I wish I could recommend this business. I've now had two bad experiences over the last 4 months. First : Oil on wheel well area after car wash. Was told there were no leaks/ issues after inspection. Happened again after a car wash today. According to my mechanic friend, it is likely a faulty CV from which grease had been washed out of after the car wash. Apparently this is not uncommon. Shouldn't the mechanic have caught this? Second: engine stuck in first gear after pulling out of my driveway. Had car towed from Salinas to Marlowe shop in Seaside. Apparently I had inadvertently bumped the steering column downshifter . You can be certain that this was the first thing that was checked when they got in the car at the shop. This could have been quick piece of advice over the phone to check the position of the downshifter. Instead I spent hundreds of dollars that day. Nathan said the downshifter issue was the number one thing that trips customers up. Even more reason to share this before a customer brings in their car. Issue 1 : Very disappointed that cause of grease leak was not determined. I was told instead I must have gone through oil at the car wash! Issue 2: Pretty unethical practice to not share simple information that can help a customer. A Marlow mechanic would certainly share that piece of info with a friend, so that they could avoid a service call. I won't be returning to this place of business. read more

I needed some information about my Mercedes (it had been serviced by them for almost a decade before I recently purchased it) and he took the time to assist me even though it was not something he could charge me for. Most businesses today will not help you unless there is something in it for them. Cary nevertheless took the time to answer my questions and declined to take any money for his time. This is rare these days and should be applauded. The car had been maintained very well by them and I could see the quality of the work they had done during a thorough inspection of the car. I have never been treated so well by any automotive place in my life! They are honest. They get the work done fast. They never try to sell you something you don't need. Why would I give 4 stars to a facility that was unable to resolve my problem?. First off ,my baby Benz is a 1985 190D and not many shops even gave me a consideration . Mostly due to the age (not me (I think) but likely parts if any were needed. Most technicians are more use to working with code readers and chips. The W201 has none of that. A technician who had worked on the model in the past was agreed to take a look at it if could leave it a few days I could.. They were clear to quote me an hourly rate that was a bit higher than I was expecting. Let me be clear.. I gave them the time limits. Although unable to make the repair in that time limit, the technician provided me with a possible solution...using some older style problem solving techniques. He did and then spent a few with me explaining where he thought the issue might be thru some trouble shooting techniques BC (Before Codes) He did, He was right, and I was off and running So although the repair was not completed (BECAUSE of the time limits I set on them) I am sure that it would have been if I had the budget. He had nailed the probable cause. That is where I save the last STAR. Nothing meant by it For me as a fairly good garage DIY er..it was all I needed to execute a very successful repair. ...and I did. My Mercedes lust leans toward the AMG versions especially the 12 cylinder ones. Previously I owned an SL65 AMG and a CL65 AMG. These are the extreme high performance models of the Mercedes AMG lineup and require knowledgeable care. When their factory new car warranties expired I started taking them to Kerry and Charlie at Marlow Mercedes-Werks. I was pleased and surprised at the quality work and reasonable pricing they provided for my babies. It was not always that way at the dealer. I recently purchased a 2013 CL65 AMG and the nano-second it is off warranty it will be their charge to keep its 621 ponies wide awake and raring to go.
