We were working on a tight timetable, so I was receiving store fixtures while construction was ongoing. Eric and his team were able to work around this without any problems. Second, my initial flooring choice became unavailable between the time I selected it and ordering. When this happened, Eric and I went down to Home Depot together and found another option that looked better, was higher quality, and cost less. I cannot recommend Eric and A&E construction enough! 100% would use again. In fact, I have some upcoming work that I need to do on my home. The work the team did was beautiful and a great value for the price. We went a little over 10% over budget, which is just about what I expected for a project like this, and I was pleasantly surprised that we actually finished a few days early. The work comes with a 3-year warranty too (which we needed in the past and have had no trouble using), which gives extra peace of mind. Each person on the project - Elena the project manager, Juan the site supervisor, Alexa the designer, John the estimator, and especially the lead technician Cornelio was a pleasure to work with. As with any renovation, there are always surprises and hiccups along the way, but the team handled everything professionally, even when I was stressed and occasionally cranky. One thing of particular note was how much the team was willing to work with me when the inevitable surprises came up. There are things that nobody can foresee, which usually results in a change order and extra cost, but then there are those little things where everyone leaves a conversation with a different impression. In those latter instances, I always really appreciated how willing everyone was to meet me halfway and to make sure I felt good about how things were going and confident that we were doing right by each other. They closed all the holes in the walls (no more air coming in) where the old convectors were located; they repaired the flooring so that it looked seamless; and they installed baseboards to mask the gaps left by the new convectors, which were a slightly different size than the previous ones. (The convectors were installed by a different company, so they coordinated with them nicely). They also installed a brand-new lighting fixture on the bedroom ceiling (lots of concrete drilling involved), hung a metal shelf in the bathroom, and closed all the holes in the kitchen left by the previous contractor when the kitchen was remodeled. No more mice! Wonderful service, punctual, and would happily call again for anything else I may need.

Thanks! 7) The crew was OK with our two dogs. I think our doggies missed them when the jobs were done. Final note: The sign of a great contractor is NOT that nothing goes wrong. Rather it is how the contractor responds when something does go wrong. In this regard, KBS took care of problems I was not even aware of, and when I was, they swarmed to make it right ASAP. For example, a quartz kitchen countertop cracked. Surprised. The piece was faulty. The crack was not due to poor installation. We only had to make one call to Dan who took care of it. Easy peasy. No hassles or haggles about responsibility or cost. Perfect. I've a few more impressive examples. So the more work we observed, the more confident we became in KBS. In my life "trust" is earned and hard to achieve in the contracting world. So, it is with pleasure to say KBS was trusted. We'd hire them again whenever we have a future need. Simply excellent!

They also refinished hardwood floors on two floors of our house and repainted all the rooms on those floors. In addition, they replaced all the old, yellowed electrical sockets and light switches and added LED lights to most of the rooms. We are very happy with how it all turned out. Matt, as designer/project manager, was excellent to work with and kept things moving on schedule. From start to finish, the renovation took two months, which we felt was extremely reasonable given the extent of the work that needed to be done. The price was $80,000 less than the highest estimate I received, but the quality was still excellent. I would highly recommend Bull Run to anyone who needs work done on their home.
