It was a great first time coming to Maroc Hamam Spa. I chose to get the Signature Hamam Bath and a Swedish massage. Upon arrival, I was nicely ushered inside the waiting area to fill out a few pages of paperwork. After I was done, they led me to a small locker room to put away my things and change out of my clothes. A really nice woman by the name of Esmerelda led me to a shower room where she rinsed me with warm water and covered me with a black soap. I was then taken to the sauna room which was nice and hot but the sound of the sauna pressure was very loud and it startled me. It goes off every few minutes but you're only inside it for 10 minutes. Esmerelda then led me back to the shower room where she then scrubbed some more with a mud mask and an actual scrub glove which removes dead skin. What I loved about Esmerelda was that she was very friendly and talked to me with engagement. It didn't feel weird in front of her at all even though I was practically naked with just my chest and bottom were covered. She even washed my hair. I was finally rinsed off at the end and then led back to the waiting room so that I could have my swedish massage. The massage was amazing! My masseuse Nadia was really great with pressure and very thorough in target areas where I needed it the most. She was so kind too and really experienced. When it was done, I was served the most delicious tea, a small sweet cake, and a piece of baklava. It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely return again. Important things to be mindful of: 1. WOMEN ONLY - this is great for GNO or Bachelorette/Bridal shower or just personal time for yourself 2. YOU WILL BE NAKED (for the bath) - they do provide these coverings for your private areas so that you don't get your undergarments wet 3. THE SCRUBBING - if you have sensitive skin make sure you voice that to the person scrubbing you. But also keep in mind that the harder the scrub, the more dead skin they can remove =) (It's like King Spa) read more

Lockers for your things in the changing room. I will definitely go back to try some of the other services they offer. Oh and I don't know what kind of tea they serve at the end, but it is fantastic! I have been to this spa before, starting from when they first open. I was very please back then but now after the service last week and my scheduled service this upcoming week I will not be going back. The scrub which I have gotten in the past was the worst to the point where I really did not want to leave a tip, but did. I felt that the young lady didn't want to do her job and it was rushed. 2nd I had a Groupon for a massage which i was treated like the plague. They did not want to honor the Groupon on weekends which was not stated and then told me they were fully booked and I couldn't get in until 2-3 weeks later. To the young lady supposedly helping, she act like I was more of a bother. I asked about getting a different massage and paying the difference and she told me I would need to pay full price difference. I have always thought highly of this place and even sent others here but never again. I wasted $140 on an additional service and I was treated like the plague for having a Groupon in which THEY offer. Furthermore I tried calling several times and ended up having to go to the facility instead which could have been just a phone call. They tried to return my call days later asking what did I need. Wow! If there was a sixth star available, I would have used it. I am not easily impressed and given the few negative reviews I read, I was a smidge concerned (apparently there used to be a policy that if you left a negative review the beautiful owner would try and make ammends by offering a free service - that's when people started taking advantage). In any event, my experience from start to finish today was incredible. I had the full body scrub (and she made sure the pressure was perfect the entire way through). This evening my skin glows and feels like butter. Following the body scrub Esmeralda gave me the most luxurious, professional and effective massage I've had in years (and I used to have a membership to a local popular spa in town - needless to say I'm changing the membership to here). After my services, the tea and baklava were a lovely touch. Lastly, I was absolutely impressed with the PPP the salon had in place: black light sanitizing on top of normal intense sanitizing, plus hand sanitizer every where, masks AND face shields plus plenty of room to socially distance. I only saw 1 other client my entire time and 2 other staff members. I felt very safe. I cannot wait to return next month. If you are tired of the same-old, ho-hum, good-enough massages and services we've been forced to accept in the DFW area -- this is a place to try. You won't be sorry! read more

I took my husband's aunt here for a girls' day at the spa. She had lived in Turkey for about seven years and had loved the hamam experience while there, but had been unable to find one back home in Texas that was close by and of good quality. I found a Groupon deal to let us both try it out and see how we liked it, and we were both thoroughly pleased by the experience. We were a little concerned when we first walked up because they appeared to be closed (we were about fifteen minutes early for our 11:00 appointment, and they are supposed to open at 10:00), but shortly after we walked up, one of the ladies appeared and apologized for being late. There had been unexpected road closures on her normal route and she had had to take the long way around to get there that morning. She immediately ushered us in and got us situated with cups of water in the lovely waiting area while she went to turn everything on. Soon enough, we were surrounded by tranquil music and were noting the lovely Turkish decor. In the changing area, gave each of us disposable undergarments (bikini top and bottom), Turkish peshtemals, and non-slip sandals, and told us to go ahead and change and then go back out into the waiting area. (My aunt and I both opted to not wear the bikini top, since it didn't fit either of us terribly well, but they said that was fine.) The Groupon was for their Signature Hamam treatment. My aunt and I also opted to purchase entry to the group hamam area so that we could relax there while taking turns for the Groupon treatment, since they couldn't do it on both of us at the same time. I must say that the extra $15 for entrance to the hamam area was well worth it. I was so relaxed from just lounging on the heated marble in the warm water and the quiet of the space that I was ready to melt into putty by the time it was my turn for the bath! The woman who was taking care of us, Esmeralda, was so sweet and attentive. After taking care of my aunt, she ushered me to the steam room, where she had me disrobe and then applied black soap. Then, she told me to enjoy the steam room for ten more minutes, during which time she would pop in and check on me partway through to make sure that I could handle the steam and temperature. I was in bliss already. The only thing to interrupt this was the steam jets. I was so startled the first time they went off that I nearly jumped out of my skin! It sounded like a giant steam cleaner going off, and definitely took away some of the relaxing sensations I had built up. Fortunately, it only went off a couple of times when I first entered the steam room, so the rest of the time was quiet and peaceful, but that was the only detracting factor from the day. Esmeralda then escorted me to the bathing room, in which she rinsed off the black soap and had me lie face-down on the marble table to start exfoliation. She was very courteous and attentive, always checking that the water temperature was comfortable and making sure that the pressure of the exfoliation was not too harsh. Then came a mud mask which she spread all over and let sit for a few minutes while she washed and conditioned my hair. Then, she rinsed off the mud mask and applied what I can only describe as a really fun "bubble bath." She used a pillowcase to swish around a solution of body wash and water and then when it was nice and bubbly, she wrung all the bubbles out over my body until I was covered in them. It was so unique! A final rinse washed away all the bubbles and took one more pass through my hair to remove excess conditioner.. She helped me stand up and handed me the shower head and said that I could use it to rinse myself off some more if I wished. Then, I put on the sandals and a fresh robe, and walked back out to the waiting room where they had served my aunt and I refreshing and lightly sweetened mint tea and a few tasty treats like baklava and macarons. We were in heaven! Doubtless to say, we will be back, even though it's a bit of a trek for both of us to get out there. It was absolutely worth it. read more

I was really looking forward to this spa experience and thought I had found a hidden gem here in Frisco. However, the experience fell short. I stumbled upon this spa while visiting another business in the plaza and checked it out online. It looked and sounded amazing and bonus there was a 30% off coupon online. When I called to make the appointment the lady who answered the phone asked if I wanted a free Mediterranean upgrade to the Hamam bath? Well of course and thank you! I was even more excited for this since I have never had a Hamam bath before. The place is beautiful and relaxing, however they never had me fill out any paperwork and not much was said when I walked in. The lady who did my bath was very sweet but hard to understand. She forgot to do the Mediterranean upgrade. However, she did let me know that at the end before I even asked and was kind enough to take $20 off the original price. I added a scalp massage on to the bath and I'm not sure what that was, but it was not relaxing and kind of hurt. Afterwards, I'm glad I had a comb in my purse. Tip: if you do the bath or head massage bring a comb since a shampoo is included in the Hamam bath. They do provide hair dryers but that's it, no combs or anything else. It would be nice to let clients know a little more on what to expect with the bath. If I didn't have the additional coupon I would have been very disappointed. I enjoyed my massage very much, and this review in no way reflects on Nadia, my masseuse. The 2 star rating is solely for the lack of customer service I received at the front counter. I had planned on arriving 10 minutes prior to my appointment time, but had to call a couple of times because I was having trouble getting the address routed properly. Even though both my calls had gone unanswered, I still managed to arrive on time. What was frustrating is that there were two ladies at the front desk when I walked in. Neither one of them greeted me, nor did they introduce themselves, so I don't know their names. One of them asked me if I was the one who called, and when I said yes, my response was left hanging as I stood there and they continued looking at something on the desk. I thought it was odd, but I figured that they were relatively newly opened and the ladies must be preoccupied. The massage was just what I needed, so as I walked out to the front desk area, the arrival awkwardness had been forgotten. The same lady was sitting behind the desk on the phone with someone trying to make an appointment. So, I waited. And waited. And waited. After a few minutes, a couple came in and they stood and waited for a couple of minutes and then left without getting any assistance. The lady stayed on the phone describing services and packages and giving various appointment times, while I stood there. (I guess that's why no one had answered my earlier calls?) Finally, she asked the person on the phone to hold a second and took my credit card. I told her that I'd like to make my next appointment, and she said okay and went back to the person on the phone. So I stood and waited for a few more minutes before realizing that I had been standing there now for well over 15 minutes. She would not make eye contact with me and continued talking to the potential customer on the phone. I have never been so thoroughly ignored at any business. Isn't it common courtesy to take care of the customer who is standing in front of you first? It's a shame that there are such serious gaps in this spa's employee training at the front desk. Once you get passed that area, you should be fine. Also, be prepared for difficulty getting an appointment set. P.S. Plan ahead if you have to go to the bathroom. The dressing rooms are at the front of the spa and the single restroom (for employees and patrons) is at the very back of the place. read more

The best spa experience I've ever had. Everything was perfect. Nice, clean, friendly and relaxing environment. Just for anyone who is interested to go there: at the first you should fill a form, then you will be given a locker with towel, slippers and disposable underwear and bra. You should change and in the hammam, you'll be covered with black soap, then you should seat in the steam room for about 15 min, then coming back to bath and being scrubbed and washed and whole your body is covered with Ghassoul clay mask and then again being covered with bubbles which feels great. Everything feels so heavenly. The massage was perfect and Nadia did a great job on my tense muscles. I got an add-on hair mask which made my hair so soft and shiny. There are hair dryers there to dry your hair. And, at the end baklava and tea would be served for you which is so perfect. The whole bath and massage took about 2 hr and I enjoyed every minute of it. The lady in front desk is also such a nice and welcoming person and spent enough time to explain everything so well to . That was such a unique experience that I booked my next appointment to enjoy the facial service too along with hamam and massage. Update: I went to my next appointment with Hamam, Massage and facial. I already had hamam & massage (with Nadia) and I really liked it, and about facial; it was perfect; excellent service. Noushin is an expert esthetician. She has a good knowledge in recognizing what type of care your skin needs. She explains everything so well, so you know how you could improve your skin. My girls and I had an amazing experience at the Maroc Hamam Spa this past weekend. First, I want to thank Waffa, the owner, about helping coordinate my reservation. She was super nice and very welcoming. There were several girls in my party, and she had staff there to accommodate everyone. I got the hour massage, hour facial, and Moroccan bath and everything felt wonderful. They give you undergarments to wear from the "bath", but the top doesn't cover a lot so don't be shy! lol The massage and facial was everything! These women really know what they're doing. All of my girls loved their services as well. We loved our experience so much that we've agreed to travel from OKC once a month to come to this spa. I've noticed some of the reviewers mentioned there was a mandatory gratuity charge. Maybe the owner changed that policy, because we weren't asked to give a certain percentage on the tip and there was 6 of us. Look out for deals on Groupon.
