Went to Maroons Creamery for some late ice cream on a weeknight. It's located in what was formerly the Surreal Creamery, and it's still pretty big for an ice cream spot. There is lots of seating. The staff offers free samples of any of their flavors so you can try before you buy. Many of them are Asian inspired, like ube and kulfi. Of the flavors I tried, my favorite were the Tuscan Trifle and Fruit Blossom. I ended up getting the Lady Luck, which was basically a coffee ice cream sundae. Prices are fair for the amount you get. I'd come back

I was in the Ridgewood area around 9PM and I was craving some ice cream. Van Dyk's would normally be my go-to in the neighborhood but they were closed. Yelp led me to Maroons. My friends and I perused the menu before we went and they certainly have some unique offerings. The Asian-inspired flavors really piqued my interest (kulfi, masala chai, ube, etc.). Given how late it was the store wasn't too packed. Service was very friendly and the staff offered to have us sample the ice cream flavors. My friend and I opted for ice cream served in bubble waffles and the staff member informed me it would take a while because since it was so close to closing they only had 1 waffle maker going. They have such a wide variety of flavors so I'm sure you'll find something you like. I got a kulfi sundae and was very pleased with the how creamy it was. The bubble waffle was nice and fresh too. I tried my friends' ice creams and they were just as good. The place is spacious and clean. I could see myself coming back. Bonus points for having a clean bathroom.

Stopped in midday for a sweet treat. They have various novelty items for social media worthy pictures along with bubble waffles and other options, but I opted for a classic 2 scoops in a cup. The ube cookie dough was actually packed with brownie pieces and didn't really taste like ube, but the scoop of matcha was perfection. The ice cream was so rich and creamy, you can really tell the difference with homemade. Two scoops will set you back nearly $9, but they're heaping. The staff member behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. There's lots of seating inside, and I can see this being the perfect summer night spot to get your ice cream fix.

I was passing by Maroons creamery and couldn't help but check it out. They have a large selection of bubble tea, ice cream flavors and other treats. I went with the ube ice cream soft serve. I got the smallest size with no toppings and it was $6 or more. Definitely most expensive soft serve I've ever had but it was refreshing and tasty. Ambiance is really nice and it is a large creamery. The service was fantastic, the young woman working was so helpful and knowledgeable.

I was excited to try this dessert spot. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. The spot was super cute and cozy. I ordered the ube soft serve for the first time, and it was delicious. I also ordered the coffee ice cream with bubble waffle and the tiny thrill drink. The coffee ice cream was just ok, and I enjoyed the drink. I definitely would return for more!

Stopped here for ice cream before seeing the fireworks on Fourth of July because I heard it was a cute spot. Each of us got something different - hard ice cream & swirl. The flavors were underwhelming - at least for the ube & strawberry. One of the guys serving the ice cream had to redo one of the ice creams because the whole top 2nd scoop melted off and fell onto my husband's hand 3 seconds after he handed it to him. I think the signatures are cute for instagram - but I'm always interested in flavor & sadly with the ones we got - it was lacking. It was $8 for a regular swirl cup and close to $9 for 2 scoops of ice cream. The bathroom was disgusting! Not an impressive experience at all.

Ube and Earl Grey my two favorite flavors!

There's plenty of seating, table and couches. The hard Ube icecream has a stronger Ube flavor than the soft serve, (I was informed of it)but the float is just so good! The coffee toffee hard icecream has a great coffee flavor. There was only 1 person behind the counter on the first warm day of spring, but she was quick and knowledgeable about the flavors and had suggestions based on my feedback. The tapioca in the float was soft and chewy - very well made.

So happy I found this place. Great, new, interesting flavors of the hard ice cream. Took me a while to decide because of all the combination options but I ended up with the match bubble team with earl tea vanilla flavor. Great quality and so creamy. The earl tea flavor is subtle so this is great base for any combo. Can't wait for the warm weather, Thursdays js always ice cream night in my family so this will be part of the routine. Great staff too. Such friendly, warm, welcoming service. She was even patient with us since we were so undecided. The location was squeaky clean, bright, and plenty of space to enjoy with friends and family.

Choose your own ice cream with the egg waffles. Yumms and shared by 2 oldies.

I am so surprised that it's not crowded with young people and families. Great spot for that evening hankering of the sweet tooth.

The line was fairly long when I visited, but it moved quickly thanks to the efficient staff. This time I tried the Georgia Peach ice cream. It was good and definitely hit the spot, though I have to admit I left thinking that Tillamook's Sweet Cream Peach back home is still my favorite peach ice cream. Even so, Kilwins delivers exactly what you'd hope for: quality ice cream, a great atmosphere, and plenty of tempting treats beyond just the frozen desserts. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back to try more flavors.

When we first walked in we kind of were turned off by the way the ice cream looked- kind of plain with nothing in it- but we then realized you had to pick some toppings to mix in. So we picked a cookie dough, fudge, Oreo combo. That first bite, wow. I was expecting a Baskin Robinesque, chain tasting, unoriginal ice cream; I was thankfully very wrong. It was the perfect amount of creamy and hard, tasted very homemade and spectacular, and had large, delicious chunks of cookie dough! I really recommend coming here for a good scoop with delicious toppings on any day!
