Bed at 12 up at 7a Left at 3:45p on a tu from tempe, AZ. Great overall experience. For 10/14/25 review: the parking $15 cash or QR code (cashless) The venue has restrictions on purse sizes and my bag that was holding my money bag, phone, and keys was too big. However, they were making some exceptions. Later I just left it to avoid second entry complications. For the VIP ticket.... it felt a bit rushed, but the sound check was nice, photos weren't anything special and blurry. Got a signed poster, and band pins. Plus got dibs on merch, that was a solid win. The exp itself began at 4:45-5:26p. with a (1 hour intermission) The artists are worth every cent but to the venue and help add to profit. Order subs, some refreshments, have a 2 drink bar open included in price & some seating.... minus a star, only offering cooler water was a mediocre attempt. Given re-entry priority skipped the minimal, GA line. Notes: The walk over the bridge at a brisk pace was 24m give or take. or, look into the nearby train, Line A to Line S. Line A goes over the water. If I knew what I know now, Stop at Cassey Moore's Oyster House for drinks and food (get an experience), Pack a to go picnic with road drinks. (In cooler months) take line S back to nearby park, have an adult picnic enjoy people watching scenery & the bridge currently lights up on the train tracks and bistro lights on the bridge. (love those esthetic touches) cruise back on line A. Minimal walking. Hotter months: Jump on the electric scooters and ride into downtown. Just don't fall into the water. Just kidding, you can't. The venue is a gem over the pond, the sound system was great, the sloped venue allowed everyone the ability to see unless some Dipsh*t stood in-front of you. Yeah you, Look down, even when with your S/o. Respect* I'd do it again in a heart beat. This venue got two thumbs up. over & out from up the 10FWY!

It's been a moment since I've been there and went to check out this band with a friend called Macarena. They did a whole bunch of 80s 90s band tribute pretty cool been a while. Alcohol recently priced as well. Made some new friends all in all just a really good place as always. The bartenders were great. They remembered our order and poured pretty well so I have no complaints about the service at all.

I was here tonight for a KNIX secret show concert and it was sooo much fun!! This venue however is small and can hold up to 2,000 people I believe. It can get hot in here but they honestly do an amazing job keeping the place cool! I will give a heads up on the bathroom situation - there were lines each time I had to go (long lines) but they did move quickly luckily. I think there was only one area for the bathrooms (That I'm aware of) that was the only downside but other than that everything else was amazing! The staff were also very sweet!

This is a fine place to see a show. I went for the Sam Fender concert and liked that it was on the smaller side. It is really nice that the venue is right on the Valley Metro line and close to Tempe. Getting in wasn't too bad as we just had to go through security and then scan our tickets. The merch area was pretty small and the line for it kind of butt into the rest of the entrance space. The venue was pretty hot but maybe that has to do with being in a big crowd. Even Sam Fender mentioned how hot it was. The sound was my biggest complaint here. It sounded kind of fuzzy and not clear.

MARQUEE MARKS THE SPOT A treasure of a venue tucked away down the street from Downtown Tempe. This humble building has had a metamorphosis during its long history on Mill Avenue from whence it was constructed as the Red River Opry in 1993. This is the first venue I went to as a college kid. At that time it was grungy and dank. It was not well ventilated, the floors were concrete and giant floor fans were the only way to cool off. It was not comfortable inside. They had cheap admission and cheap drinks; a college kid's dream! Since its meek beginnings, it later added the balcony for extra seating and a new view for shows. It now has proper air conditioning. The lighting effects have been upgraded and the floors are no longer the same as the pavement outside. The giant speakers on both sides of the stage blast your eardrums and the bass can rattle your bones. Do not discount this small venue. There is no seating, it is General Admission, standing room only, so you get a close-up and intimate experience with a great view anywhere on the floor which would cost you hundreds at an arena or stadium; now that's value! The actual floor is slightly sloped to help the views of the vertically challenged folks to combat the tall people in the crowd. The patio is a great place to get fresh air or hang out and drink. The entry has security gates and staff using security wands. This can cause the line for entry pretty long so get there early. There are lockers by the security check that you can use to put your stuff if they do not allow certain personal affects in the building. Check the website for permitted and prohibited items. If your you favorite artist happens to make a stop here, Marquee Mark your calendars because you'll get good vibrations when attending shows at this place!

Great venue! Recommend getting balcony tickets, bar upstairs pours better drinks and there are some barstools to rest your feet during the concert!!! Get there early and have a blast!!!

So I just went for the first time to this venue for the Prof concert and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I am not from phx and don't go to a ton of concerts there but I would definitely go back to this venue! It reminds me of the Rialto theatre in Tucson (which I do frequent) , similar in size and they both have a balcony section. I had excellent service at the bar each time I went, lines weren't too bad either . Bathroom clean and spacious. Security was on point as well inside the concert. I felt safe and really enjoyed the show!

First time at the Marquee ever. Nice place. Pretty typical for venues like this, but it has a nicer upper deck than expected. Hope to visit again sometime soon!

For over 20 years, I've visited this establishment for various shows and events. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare, so arrive early! There is no food at this location, but a bar for drinks if you would like to enjoy. It has a pretty good layout, but is a standing room only type of theatre which can deter some people away. The security and staff was very friendly at the Phoenix Rising Kit Reveal Party, and I'm sure when the right event comes I'll be back.

They are stealing your debit/credit card numbers here. Do not go here unless you got cash for the bar. Do not go here!

Ask the Community - Marquee Theatre

How long did PigeonsPlaying Ping Pong play last night?

Do Front of the Line tickets include early entry (Before scheduled open door) or is it just getting in first?

Not sure of the "Front of the Line" designation. When I bought tickets to the Xory Wong concert, I bought "Early entry " tickets and we got in before the 7:00 opening.

What is the new pod floor plan like? Is it taped off squares on the floor or are there tables to sit at?

They are no longer doing a modified floor plan. It is GA standing on the floor and seated spots on the balcony.

We don't have actual handicapped proof yet but the three of us coming all have pain- any chance to sit anywhere at all without paying extra? (Looking for manager to answer here) Coming to see The Damned next Sunday night- super excited!!

Yes just ask about getting a chair or you can sit in balcony

What is the $14.25 Service Fee for? This fee is 40% of the total cost for an upcoming concert ticket.

Can you buy tickets at the box office and save on the service fee?

I drove down to the box office to buy tickets the other week and I still had to pay for service fees.

I am bringing my boyfriend here to see I Prevail in November, and I have never been before. We are under 21, but we were wanting to purchase balcony seat tickets. Will we get kicked out of the balcony if we are under 21?

The balcony is 21 and over

What is the temperature in the Marquee Theatre?

Thanks for asking Dave! We just updated our A/C system so it should be comfortable throughtout the house! Our balcony area tends to stay a little cooler, as well, due to the location of the majority of our A/C vents.

It has similar feel to the Rave and Aragon but definitely a much more updated/new venue. Check-in security process was smooth, drinks were good we ordered the margaritas in the refillable cups but never got refills because I'm not the person that leaves there spot at the concert and it's also a fairly large drink! We were right up at the stage and during the opening act and main they actually had a beverage/bar cart come through at the security fence which I thought was pretty smart. The venue felt significantly oversold, to the point where it was nearly impossible to move comfortably. From where I was standing, I couldn't see the stage at all, which made it hard to enjoy the performance I came to see. Beyond just being crowded, it felt unsafe. The number of people packed into the space seemed excessive, and I genuinely question whether it exceeded fire code limits. People were standing all the way back into the bar area. Navigating through the crowd was difficult, and there didn't appear to be enough room for people to exit easily if needed. I've been to this venue since its 2017 opening and had much better experiences, but this event felt poorly managed. I hope they take crowd capacity and guest safety more seriously in the future.

It tries to be those things and fails in all. The layout: It's a long narrow room. The stage is on the smaller far end. The tables are arranged going back along the long direction. If you're sitting more than halfway back you'll be disappointed in the seating. In the back are high-top tables which are very small. The "bar" is along the long wall. The "restaurant" is catered food ( I don't think the venue has a kitchen). It's arranged buffet style on portable tables in the lobby. You go in a line and chose your dinner and they hand it to you in a plastic to-go container. You eat at your table and then bus your leftovers and trash to the trash can. There is no wait service. Just like eating at a fast food restaurant. If your sitting at a small high-top table there's not enough room for more than two people to eat. You'll be seated with strangers and they'll be right in your face as you eat. The "bar" only has beer and wine for alcohol. Or you could get a canned mixed drink. Stand in line and wait your turn at the end of the bar. The bar seats are reserved for the show. Remember no wait service. So if you want a drink during the show you have to go to the bar. Music was not Jazz. Very slow, boring folk. The crowd was 70+ year olds. And they charge for this experience? Won't be going back.
