Marquee needs to fix their ventilation system ASAP! As well as their Air Conditioning. The place should not be so stuffy/muggy and hot. It's ridiculous that they will sell out a show and pack people in like sardines and then not have functioning air systems. Gross. There is also a lack of patio seating. There should be more places to sit down, especially when you don't have functioning A/C. The only good thing about this venue is the artists that perform here. Parking lot is very small. The parking structure across the street is fine, but plan to wait 30+ minutes to be able to get in and find a spot. Getting in the venue is a joke. Plan for another 30+ minutes of standing in line to get in...unless you're there for a band that's not very popular yet. I'll never go again. Saw Violent Femmes, Dropkick Murphys and Stephen Marley there . Great music SHITE location. This place is THE WORST in town! 20 minutes for a $12 beer. They refuse to give water unless you pay $3 . No cups . 4 bartenders for every 100 people. Nearly zero seats outside and they sweat the customer about vapes even tho its legal. No water except drinking fountain... THIS PLACE SUCKS standing only inside & out. Actual band area is on a steep incline of cement it's not a good venue. The management can not figure out how to make it be a chill fun place to come see a show. Saw Interpol for the second time last night and while they put on an amazing show, the Marquee NEEDS to not be such cheap fools and kick on A/C when the entire venue is packed out toward the lobby. We stayed in a spot closest to the entrance to get some semblance of air flow but as the show went on, we were seeing people sweating buckets and running to catch fresh air. It says something when it's almost 80 degrees F at 9:30 pm and it's more comfortable OUTSIDE of the venue than it was inside. It must have been close to 95+ in the GA area. Now, this was a show at the end of April in Phoenix. I can't imagine being in a venue so hot and cramped during the summer. We also saw Interpol at the Van Buren on Oct 2019 and that venue had the decent sense to have proper cool air flow. I, my fiancé, and the rest of the audience didn't feel like they were going to get heatstroke. Even Rebel Lounge has the decency and common sense to have a giant FREE water station near the entrance. And the fact that Marquee will NOT offer free water to patrons is illegal. We're in the Sonoran desert, have fun with someone passing out from dehydration because they have to carry only cash, wait for the line to the one ATM in service, get charged a $4 service fee for something that should be FREE. As a premenopausal woman, I'm begging you, put on the damn A/C for the shows moving forward and have water stations in the lobby. Don't be cheap asses. read more

So much fun!!!!! Went to see the Yachtley Crew. Was safe and well attended concert. It's $10 to park recommend an Uber. When I go again I'll probably spend the extra money to book the balcony there is seating up there. There's zero sitting on the floor - if you're advanced age just be in shape and wear comfortable shoes. read more

tl;dr: We were in line for 1.5 hours and missed the majority of the show because there weren't any rules posted and zero organization. We arrived right at 8 when the show started, knowing we might miss some of the headliner but were okay with it. There was a huge line, but no biggie. We stand in line for a while until we finally get to security. We realize we need our vaccination cards, but again, no big deal because we all have them in our bags or on our phones. Turns out, a picture of it is not valid and you need to go into a separate line to go get tested, even though this has worked for other concerts before. No signs were posted about this. We have now lost our place in the main line. Great. Half of us head to the testing line, while half of us continue ahead. The testing section has two lines, line number 1 and line number 2. We get into line number 1, which takes forever to move. We finally get to the front. Turns out, line number 1 is actually the second line for finished paperwork. We just stand there confused and they let us stand there confused until we ask, ¨Do we need to get in the other line?" and they shrug us off. No signs were posted about this. We get in line number 2 (Yeah, the first line is the second line, and the second line is the first line. Am I even making sense?) which again takes forever. While in this line, my friends call and tell us that turns out, bags are not allowed, and they must walk all the way back to the car, but first, they need to walk over to us, which is out of the way, to get our bags as well. No signs were posted about this. Then while we are now line number 1 again (correctly this time) they are taking our bags back to the car, which is obviously parked far for a crowd this large, I realize that my ID is in there, and that the only sign I ever saw during this entire time said IDs were needed. I call my friend, who was now back in the main line, and regretfully inform him that he needs to go back to the car AGAIN. We finally finish the testing, and now we head towards the doors but guess what? Because an hour and a half has passed, and there is no "main line" anymore. Everyone who wasn't sent back (and many were) have gotten into the venue. They scan our tickets, and the only thing they didn't need was my ID, which was the only thing explicitly listed. There was zero information online about what the venue required and there weren't any signs anywhere to at least let people know what was going on. There was zero organization. What a joke. The show was great, but only because of the performance. The venue was a complete joke. I understand taking safety precautions, and I am happy to oblige, but when dozens and dozens of attendants are being shooed away and there isn't any list of rules, how can you expect people to follow the rules? read more

First time here and it said doors open at 630 and show starts at 7...had no idea there were 4 bands ahead of main act. We had a good 2.45 hrs of wait time so after only being parked for less than 5 minutes, we asked if we could come back in the lot and they said they couldn't guarantee parking. I said, I just paid $10 for a spot a few minutes ago and the attendant said sorry there was nothing he could do. I then said that's fine, then I'll give you this ticket back and you can give me my $10...which he said he could not do either. Clearly, this place is pretty hard up for cash. Do they just keep selling parking tickets regardless of spots? If you have a certain number of spots in your lot then sell that many parking tickets. If I paid for a spot then I should have one. This will be the first and LAST time I come here for a show. I don't care if the LORD himself was making a guest appearance and turning all of Arizona's water into wine!!! The rating is for the venue,staff and experience . The parking was easy($10) and I was there early enough where there was a very short line . Security was pleasant and quick. I just missed Ice-T in the lobby . It was cool that he was just hanging out . The merchandise had a good setup to the left as you walk in . The "lobby" had a good size. Everything was clean. I didn't order drinks but heard they were pricey. Inside it seems the floor is sloped to the stage . I went to claim my spot on the rail . Even while being up front the sound was great ! AC kept it cool all night. There were a few fights but I expect that with a larger crowd . This is not a knock on the venue but some of the bands on the bill , . It felt overbooked. 6 bands . 3 good and 3 , meh. Also, the fees and parking. I've been to so many smaller venues that ticket fees and paying to park seems foreign. Again, not a knock on the venue at all . It's just me being spoiled. If a band you like is coming to this venue, go. The experience was great. 2,500 capacity . read more

I never write reviews, but I had to for this one. I go to concerts all the time and i am currently getting my masters degree in facility and event management and unfortunately this was a tough experience for me. This is a lengthy review, but I wanted to be as thorough as I can. My boyfriend and i attended the Reel Big Fish and Bowling for Soup concert. We purchased early entrance tickets to be in the front. There was a monsoon that day and anyone waiting for early entrance was squeezed into a small corner outside trying to avoid getting soaked by rain. When it cleared up, GA went to stand in their line and we waited near the doors for our early access. Doors were supposed to open for us at 6:15 but they didn't even set up their tables for wrist bands or security until 6:30pm. While I do commend their security for doing thorough bag searches, pat downs, and wand metal detection, I did not trust this staff with my life. They were very young, didn't seem to care, and it didn't seem like anyone was of a management level at this venue. We got in early and were able to get merch and drinks easily. No issues there and the bar tenders were very nice and a jack and coke was $9 each which isn't bad at all. As people started coming in I noticed it getting warmer and warmer quickly. They only have big fans off to the sides of the small boxed GA level and small fans above you so once you're in, say goodbye to air flow. I don't know. I don't want to go to hard on the small specifics because everyone has a different experience and what I look for may be different than you. But what is most important to me, is safety. And we were in the front row, away from the consistently growing mosh pit (which is so unnecessary for a Ska and Bowling for Soup concert) but with people pushing, threatening fights right behind me, and countless crowd surfers, I went home with neck pain and completely exhausted from those around me. Security would confront the first few rows of people if they noticed any issues but that was pretty much it. They would point above us to prepare us for crowd surfers and I would turn around only to have someone's body above me smacking me in the face. I felt so unsafe and I had to calm myself a few times to make it through the full event. I just have to say that this experience was tough. I felt unsafe and really wish management would try again with making the experience safe for everyone because i felt very stuck and enclosed in madness and i was disappointed. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT BOX OFFICE It used to be, go to the box office directly and avoid extra fees and markups and other nonsense. Not so anymore. It appears there whole ticketing operation is powered by tickets web, so there are fees everywhere. For example: 2 tickets to Pennywise 11/22, online 69.50 - Box office 66 bucks. I can't say thanks enough about my experience this weekend at the Behemoth show. Check in was quick but when I realized how crowded it was (I'm handicapped after a very recent total knee replacement) I asked if there were ADA accommodations. I was quickly offered a spot in the balcony where security guard Victor took me under his wing. He was so helpful getting me seated and comfortable. It's a good venue but every time I go here I'm reminded I live in a police state. I felt completely violated after going through security. It was a 3 step process. I've been to the UN, Trump Tower and traveled through TSA with more ease than this place. What are they looking for? Weed? Well once I got in the whole place was filled with a cloud of marijuana smoke anyways and cops are standing around everywhere doing nothing. What a waste of tax payers money. What's the point? Went to the Soulfly & Nile Show with Footer. Have seen 2 other shows at this venue. Love the setup. May be standing room only but with the floor set at an angle you pretty much have a good view wherever you stand. Sound quality and acoustics are great. Venue is small and intimate yet they get really great names. Looking forward to more shows here in the future! read more

I went to this venue for the first time to celebrate my friend's birthday. The staff, from security outside to the bartenders inside, were pretty rude. We were carded to buy alcohol and given a wristband, only to be told at the bar that we had balcony wristbands (we weren't even in or going to the balcony) and he couldn't serve us. We had to get a second wristband to resolve this...more encounters with the oh so delightful staff. Alcohol is always overpriced at shows, I know, but this place is pretty bad for a medium sized venue. The local bands that opened were pretty shite...the first didn't really fit with the crowd that the main acts had brought in. The sound was good for the main acts and they performed as well as expected...I would have given one star if I didn't enjoy the performance of the bands. I've been coming here for metal shows for years. My husband and I both love it here and have never had a bad experience. Sometimes it's really hot inside, but I think that's because of the amount of people. They do have huge industrial side fans on each side of the floor which helps. My complaint use to be the fact that it was standing room only. There was no where to sit. Last year my husband was diagnosed was Stage IV cancer, so we were unable to go to shows at this venue. Then someone mentioned a VIP balcony that they added! We went Thursday for Summer Slaughter and paid $20 extra for each ticket. Upstairs you have bar stools to sit on and there are bathrooms and a bar up there as well! No Waiting in line downstairs. The view from the balcony is great and it's 21 and over. Keep the "kids" on the floor where they are free to mosh and act crazy. Being in my late 30s I want to still be able to enjoy metal shows, but I don't want to be pushed around or moshed in to. We had such an enjoyable evening Thursday watching all the craziness from the low key balcony area. I've seen so many great shows at this venue. I smile every time I drive by it thinking of all the concerts I've enjoyed at The Marquee. read more

Went to see Giveon , I'm glad I didn't show up at recommended time because he didn't come on stage till a bit after 9.The venue was so packed (ofc) but almost the entire night kids kept passing out . This place has not an indoor seating area whatsoever except for smokers in the patio. If you don't smoke, you are screwed. We have to wait two hours for our band to play so in the meantime, we are trying to find a not crowded corner to wait. It is a predicament because the place is small. Parking lot is quite limited in size too. After is full (No A-Frames indicating that when you enter though), they direct you to go to a parking garage 1/4 mile away from the place. ATM machines out of order. Apparently you can't get your pack of gum here, but weed is fine??!? Yeah....crappy. We won't be coming here again for shows. Sorry. read more

Honestly it was just an average venue. Was not pleased to get there and have a parking lot piranha try to gouge me 10 bucks just to find out that there is free parking a little ways down at the lake. Seriously you have a decent parking lot and already got my money for the ticket. Getting in wasn't so bad and the security was thankfully a little more relaxed then other places. Speaking of security I will give them props on crowd control since I was front row at the dead milkmen concert which gets a little rowdy of course. They were able to limit the annoying pushing midway through being very professional and not going to extremes to get the job done. As for the atmosphere. Do like there is a large smoking easily accessible from the front near the front bar. As for going further in, well there defiantly is a huge pit that consumes the entire lower floor with a bar near the stage. Also upstairs there is a balcony with a bar if you want the lazy way to enjoy a concert. Sorry but I am more one who wants to be involved in a show but to each their own and don't get me wrong it is nice to have that at least in a venue Now as for drink prices. This is where I have a huge beef. 9 bucks for draft kiltlifter? Are you fucking high????? That's an entire 6 pack you gouging bastards!!!! Seriously!!! 5 maybe at most!!!! I hate drink minimums and at least you don't have that here but at that price your doing the same thing anyway! Be reasonable for fucks sake!!! Overall it's like I said an average venue. I'm from out of town and I really enjoyed this music venue! Easy access merch booths, full bars, multiple stall bathrooms and a wide open floor plan? Perfect place to see a concert. There is a lot of wall space on the edges which is a great spot to sit and rest your feet if you need a break in between sets. My first experience at Marquee was great! The venue is nice and intimate and there really isn't a bad view in the house (this is coming from a 5'2" shorty)! The acoustics were good, security was easy to go through, and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. The bartenders also did a fabulous job. They were speedy and even when the lines got longer, I never had to wait more than 3-5 minutes for a drink. Parking is $10 in the lot, but there is also free parking within a reasonable walking distance near the venue. read more

Wanna search your cigarette packs, tiny wallets, looked confused about the metal detector going off for metal joint replacement in someone's leg. Like they would strip searching them. But (as if all of this isn't reason enough to beg your favorite bands to book somewhere else next time) Two security guards talking over the band all night long. I don't like to be a party popper but I am going to poop on this party so peoples know zis. My absolute least favorite venue in Phoenix is Marquee theater. Least favorite. From the moment you hear that a band you love is coming to Phoenix you get on your knees and pray that they're not playing marquee. *please be crescent. pleeeease be crescent.* and then you finish reading the email from stateside and the weeping commences. First comes the butt ripping for the tickets. Did I say ripping? I meant raping. They are not available at Zia or Stinkweeds. So then you have to buy them online. So then you have to pay the outrageous service fees they tack on. So then you have to take precious time out of your schedule to go down there to get the tickets before the night of the show. Or else you have to wait in an atrocious line to get your tickets before your show starts. All things stated, it ain't fun. Then you get to there the night of the show and be prepared to be all kinds of uncomfortable, kids. If you haven't picked up your tickets previously you have to stand in line and do that first. You will then have to form two separate lines, male and female. Then have your things rifled through. And finally have a full on pat down! And that's before you even get your ID checked. But on the bright side it's been a while since I've had to take off my shoes in the line during this process. (I'll add a star for that!) Once inside you'll pay way too much for a beverage. Then you'll see that marquee has kind of a cool unique standing room only layout, with the floor sloping toward the stage. The floors have recently been "redone"; which I take to mean painted. And the bathrooms can be tolerated with only minimal disgust, depending on the show. And while it's not the intimate venue I was hoping for, I will try not to let my party pooping all over this place discourage you. The sound isn't terrible everywhere and the other show goers are going to be mildly obnoxious no matter where you go. So rock, roll, and bounce on, Phoenix. We paid $250 for two tickets to Yachtley Crew and as we have in the past paid extra to be in the balcony which in the past we were able to sit. My wife has rheumatoid arthritis and can not stand for long periods of time but when we went last night we were told that even though we had balcony access, we were told we could not sit on any seat, we had to stand. If that was the case I would have paid $95 for two floor tickets which is standing room only which I understand. To boot we watched security make two elderly guests get off their seats because they, like us, assumed that balcony purchases that they paid extra for the ability to sit. I find this practice ridiculous and nothing but a money grab from the venue. Pathetic and I will no longer be a customer of the venue and will make sure to relate this situation to any friends or family looking to visit the venue for a show. We'll also be letting the band know that they need to find a new venue since Marquee is practicing shady things when it comes to accommodating their fans. read more

I'm an avid concert-goer and have spent a LOT of money at the Marquee in both drinks and tickets. The Marquee isn't a bad place to see a show - it's just not my favorite. However, this update is targeted to their new "VIP" section. A month or two back, I received an email saying we could upgrade our concert tickets from GA to VIP for only $10. The email promised a dedicated bathroom, bar and some seating. We thought "Why not?" and forked over the extra funds for the VIP experience. (The email also intimated that this was a special low price because it's a new offering and would likely be significantly more expensive in the future). The whole thing was a bust. The bar was nice although I've never had an issue getting a drink downstairs. Dedicated bathrooms were also nice but my friends still had to wait in line (usually the case downstairs too). We spotted some booth bench seating and headed towards it only to be stopped by security and told it was "$100 a head" to sit there. Asssphincter says what? $100 a head to sit on a freakin' bench? Are you kidding me? Apparently, we were important but not THAT important. At that point, our only option was to stand two people deep because the front standing spots were taken. So, we took our $10-extra-dollar-VIP-asses and went down to GA. We were literally right next to the bar AND we had a much better view. Years ago, Marquee used to have a VIP section on the right as you walk in. It was a roped off section on the floor with a dedicated bartender. That was nice and worth paying for. I was disappointed when they stopped doing it. Bottom line - don't waste your money on VIP. Even for sold out shows (as last night was), you can STILL have a better experience on the floor. read more

I effing HATE this place! I will only come here for a band I just can not miss. Tickets - Online in advance is more expensive than buying at the door. They'll charge you like $6 for buying online & another undisclosed $3 for will call. Lying cheating bastards. Lines & waiting - I didn't have to wait at all. There were barely any people there yet. I got there at 6:30 and ended up pretty close to the stage. Frisking & pat downs - These will be done by a same gendered person. Girls, they'll want to look in your purse. This is pretty much against the 4th Amendment: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated..." But if you bitch they have the right to refuse service/entrance. Fun! Decor & cleanliness - It's pretty dirty everywhere. But that's to be expected. Lots of people coming & going all the time. You'll look up to see that the ceiling is bare & exposed. Pray your bladder holds out on you until you can get to another location. Don't even go into the restrooms if you don't have to, you'll wish you had a hazsmat suit on. Yuck! Drinks - There's a bar & they don't separate people under 21. I imagine it would be easy for an older friend to get under 21 people drunk in the crowd :D Heat - It's constantly hot. No matter what the weather outside is like go dressed like you do in the middle of summer phx heat. There was 1 lousy fan blowing. It might as well not even have been there. Music - For some reason between bands they play weird music that doesn't fit the style you're there to see. I saw Fireworks, Saves the Day, Hellogoodbye, & New Found Glory. They played 80's pop music. Ok... Sound - The sound didn't suck as much as other reviews led me to believe. It's up to the band to make the sound people get it right. Hellogoodbye made sure they sounded good. Saves the Day, not so much. Security - Never enough!!! There were some big beefy dudes up front to push back or catch the crowd surfers. I saw 2 guys actually in the crowd. With all the moshing going on, that's not gonna cut it. People got kicked in the head, elbowed, spit on, stepped on, pushed, almost crushed, & even I almost got into a fight w/ a short asshole mosher that might have been a guy... perhaps when his balls drop. Prepare to leave with bruises. Basically, this place is like an armpit or perhaps the donkeys ass of venues. Fail. read more

A decent, medium-sized venue that books shows good enough to keep you coming back, but just has a few annoying aspects that prevents me from becoming a fan. First of all, whoever promotes for Marquee needs to stop bullshitting about ticket prices. All over the internet, I see ads for local shows at just $12. It's $15 when you get to the door. Guy in booth claims to have no clue what's going on, which is actually worse than saying it's a "service fee", which it is. Also, WTF @ Security? No wonder you're so nonchalant about half-assed, TSA-style pat-downs. You're capturing images of my ID, too. I've seen either of those practices before, but never both at the same time. When you get inside, you'll see a sloped concrete floor. Pretty cool for people standing in the back. The sound system is great. The lighting is pretty nice. Step outside and have a drink. I won't complain about $7 beers at a show. I have paid $5 for a bottle of water in similar environments, so it's nothing unusually high. My issue is that the beers are not cold enough. It doesn't quite hit the spot. Also, WTF is up with it being $7 for Kiltlifter and $6 for PBR? Makes no sense. If you wanna drink, that's about the best you're gonna do, unless you like vodka/cranberry. So 3 stars because I'll go to shows here, but nothing about my Marquee experience could be described as exceptional. This is a horrible venue. Let's start with the ticket prices. Bought them at the window and still paid 3 bucks each in fees!! WTF is that about? Then it gets better, wait in line, being yelled at "I said take everything out of your pockets and take off your shoes!" by some power tripping 19 year old. I imagine this is how they treat you when you go to tent city too, but wait I paid for this! The bar was "Meh" ... long waits and expensive beers (5 bucks for a domestic bottle). The bar inside the concert hall was much quicker since it was cash only. The acoustics were not very good in my opinion. The concert hall reminds me of a movie theater with all the seats removed and concrete floor, so the sound kinda bounces around. This is THEE local spot for mid sized nationally touring acts! It's clean (a rarity in it's genre) and the sound and sight lines are GREAT. It's an old theater with the seats taken out so you can get as close as you want (always general admission). As of late they have been insanely anal about security at the door (you MUST take off your shoes!?!?) but other than that it's by far the best place to see a band in Phoenix! They now are charging $5 for parking (and have taken over PUBLIC parking areas) ... now for big shows you have to walk a mile across the bridge to get in ... it really is a pain in the ass (combined with the door screening) ... so I'm downgrading this venue from a 5 star ... Although they must know the set time (it's in the contracts) ... they REFUSE to tell you them ... in hopes that you spend MORE time here waiting and DRINKING (i.e. more money from their CAPTIVE audience. Total assholes to their own customers ... now I've downgraded to a one star! read more

The Marquee and I have had a lot of bad blood over the years. There was a lot of time it was a really, really shitty venue. But while it's still not my absolute favorite, they've really upped the game from where it was a couple years ago. A lot of the old complaints have been addressed. Lines move a lot faster. Everything's more efficient. (I shit you not, while attending Chvrches here yesterday, an employee saw the entrance line was backing up AND OPENED ANOTHER DOOR. That's completely inconceivable to most long-time Marquee patrons.) The employees are more friendly. You don't stick to the floor and the floor doesn't stick to you. The air conditioning situation is now "there is air conditioning." The bathrooms are still pretty disgusting by the time everyone's started their headliner beers, but no longer "I just got all three hepatitises by walking in here" disgusting from the moment the doors open. They've put the effort into making some huge improvements, so I'll no longer skip shows just because they're at the Marquee. It's a solid B+ venue now. read more

First off, to address the people bitching about paying to park in The Marquee's lot . . . just don't park there. There are plenty of places to park for free within reasonable walking distance. I've always liked the venue itself, with it's sloped floor, decent sound, great location. The show I saw recently I didn't have to take my shoes off, but at some shows I have had to, and I don't mind. My personal biggest beef with the Marqee are the beer prices. $6 for a bottle of Bud Light? They really aught to be ashamed. So I haven't been to a concert at the Marquee Theatre in years and I was pleasantly surprised of the upgrades they have made to the facility in that time. The venue as a whole appears cleaner with new floors or maybe a paint job on the floors, regardless, it looks 100x better. The front of the house/foyer/lobby has fun chandeliers and custom paintings of famous rock n' rollers along the ceiling edge. The bar has great decorative lighting (P.S Diet Cokes are $3) and the bathrooms don't look like I will contract hepatitis anymore, yay! They are adorned with cute swervey mirrors (does that make sense?), automatic toilets, and the fancy Dyson hand dryer. The control booth is still in the center of the audience pit (yes pit, its standing room only), but there was so scaffolding so I am wondering if they are building a balcony. I've never been to a show here where they would need more room for the audience so I am hoping they will move the control booth up there. Also, they have giant fans on the ground to help keep the pit cool. Anyway, there still is a smaller bar to the right of the stage for those that are interested in drinking, but still wants to stay in view of the band. There is an outside patio that now has chairs lined up against the wall, but don't expect to get fresh air, this is (and always has) been where one goes to smoke. Even though study after study show that smoking is bad for your (and those around you) health , Marquee has decided to put a stand on the patio that will sell you cigarettes so one can stop bumming off of other people (yeah right). Oh, at this show they also offered food - well pizza slices for $3, that is new to me and beneficial to those that frequent the bar. Awesome job Marquee, I love the facelift. Now if only you could get rid of all those extra ticket fees! read more

This venue is great example of a simple, slightly divey standing-room-only concert venue. I've seen a few different shows here, and it seems to be well designed so even people closer to the back can see. The sound quality is good, and they feature neat artists, like Lindsay Stirling and The Arctic Monkeys. The bathrooms hold up quite well to the crowds, the beer isn't too expensive, the lines run efficiently, and the garage across the street has plenty of parking if you arrive too late to grab a closer spot in the venue lot. I've heard stories of crazy lines and no parking, but I've never experienced that here - on the other hand, I try to be a little early for concerts to avoid that kind of thing. They were slow as hell last night for the Lucki concert... smh the doors were supposed to open at 6:30 and didn't until over an hour later and they had as waiting in the rain. They had barely any control of how close people were to each other and all of the dangerous pushing. They didn't have any sort of water system like other venues do. Maybe I'm crazy, but my experience at the Marquee was not even remotely similar to the bad reviews here. My girlfriend and I came here recently for a show and everything was great - nice sized venue, impeccably clean, good ventilation and air conditioning, great acoustics, friendly staff and security, and overall a seamless, ideal concert experience. I've always wanted to come here and now feel dumb for not making it a reality sooner. I know different concerts will have different experiences, but my first one was pretty darn great. Eh. Location is obviously pretty good. Parking is limited, and not free. Standing outside in the heat for hours before the show is not fun. Someone should have thought of designing some shade when they built this place. Inside was nice. Industrial fans blow air around, but they are situated on the ground, meaning once it fills up there is no airflow. Simple solution would be to move the fans up a bit. Water prices were reasonable, so that was nice. However, the security guard took my brother's unopened pack of gum as we were checked in. Good times. read more
